I like going to the movie to see popcorn movies. I wanna see special effects and larger than life camera shots. I love watching documentaries and critically acclaimed movies at home or in my car. Either way I try to watch a lot of movies.

I love the ART of film. One of the most artistic shots is in The Wizard of OZ. It's when the house lands in Oz. Dorothy (seen from behind) walks to the door and opens it. As the door opens, the outside comes into view. The door moving shows more of the outside and its in color. Finally, the interior of the house is still in B/W but the doorway view to the outside is in color.

Amazing! And to think that was done in 1939 without the high tech film tools we have today. :worship:

I enjoy everything about movies. Even bad ones. There have only been a few that I have quit watching.

I just watch Case 39 two nights ago. Not a great movie, needed a better director and some rewrites and it might have been better. BUT I didn't turn it off.

I agree .... We did leave a film because it was really bad once. DRIVEN. A Sylvester Stallone movie about Champ Car Racing. There was one scene that was supposed to have been at Motegi (a track in Japan) where the the older driver was talking to the young, up and coming driver in the grandstands. The camera was doing a circular pan and in the background was the Sears Tower. Now, I know the Sears tower is a large building, but I never knew that you could see it from JAPAN! (then there was a sequence of the Detroit race that had palm trees!) :confused3
