Kind of a scary day. My very good friend and sons' Scoutmaster had a heart attack this morning. They put a stint in and expect him to be find and home early next week. He's one of the best people I know. A really great guy. So, we're all saying extra prayers for him tonight.

Oh no!!!! I hope he's not in too much pain and that he makes a speedy recovery and doesn't have any more heart problems! I'll keep him in my prayers!!

Deb and I are getting DDP for our stay after the member cruise. We are thinking of using 2 dinner credits for the luau at Poly. Does anybody have a better suggestion to use 2 dinner credits on?

I thought about the luau too!! Have heard mixed reviews though. I think we are getting the Deluxe DP too. Have never purchased that one before, but hey, we are going all out for this SSMC so, why not??

What about Narcosses at GF?? Heard that was good. California Grill?? What about Artist's Point at WL?? I was wondering about that one myself.

IT'S FINALIZED......WE ARE IN!!!!!!!!

Got a confirmation email from my guide, Derek, regarding our DIS Meet on Saturday, February 26th. We are all set!!! I have attached bits and pieces from his emails that are relevant for our meet. Here they are....




Just confirmed that I’m going to be able to get a very cool Disney Dream video from my VIP contacts that work on DCL to share with everyone on that Saturday…we’ll also do some trivia, have little breakfast refreshments, a raffle, sneak peeks…just a fun morning starting about 8:15am or so (store opens at 10am) …would that work for you?

I’d also like to have folks prepared for one ‘group question’ and come prepared – we’ve done this in the past and it’s super fun – we’ll then enter everyone that participates into a raffle for a nice big prize We’d like for each family to be prepared to answer this question – we’ll go around and lets have each family say their name…screen name…and answer this question: “If you could have one DREAM job at Disney…what would it be and why?” – we’re then going to take each family and put their name into a raffle for a super cool prize we’ll give away at the end.

"What I’ll need from you for each family is:

Everyone’s name (including the family last name) and ages of any children. Also, having their phone numbers will help me to identify each family in our system. So if they are willing to share that info with you, please pass it on. If not, I will get them checked in when they arrive.

If I could have a final count by the Wednesday or Thursday before the event, that would be great. I want to make sure I have enough time to gather the goodies.

One more thing…if you have started a new DIS thread for the meet, can you send me the link. I am a DISser and will watch the thread and try to help answer any questions your attendees might have. ]


So please send me a PM with the information listed above. I will need a final count as well, so when you get that, let me know. If anyone has questions or requests, let me know too. I already put a "request" in for a coupon for the Disney Store, since we are going there afterward. Also, how does everyone feel about Rainforest Cafe for lunch?? With our Dis Meet being so early, we may have to have an early lunch, say 11:30-12:00???? Suggestions???

Well, from my understanding, you get three table service meals a day. My family doesn't eat three table meals a day. However, when Jim and I go for SSMC, like I said, we are going all out. So, we will have a total of 18 credits, so I can easily use two credits for a few meals and have some credits left over. See??? Honestly, three table service meals= too much food...for us, anyway. Wally on the other hand????

They give you the foie gras duck treatment at check in. Install a permanent plastic tube down your throat. Then you get to go around to the TS places to have them stuff you silly.

Actually, you get 3 TS credits per night. 2 TS places are still 2 TS credits, but since you have three, you can still eat a TS for one of your other meals. Or just eat at three 1 TS places per night.

I think it's probably a good deal if you are going to eat at 2 TS places, but there's no way we could eat 3 TS meals every day. The heat just zaps our appetites away.

Thanks for your concern. It wasn't just all the plowing. It was the second job that I have too. I worked almost 80hrs between Monday morning and Friday evening I made it through just fine and when OT check comes in I'll be a lot happier.

Ummm, don't make plans for that OT check. From what I understand, Deb is planning on buying EPCOT with it...
