Hi Debbie!!! Doing all right I suppose. We are still in the process of updating things (in terms of Feng Shui) for the New Year, year of the rabbit. I don't mind since it gives me an excuse to get in my car and listen to my latest book addiction LOL How are you guys doin?

We're trying to stay warm. We got 22 inches of snow in 24 hours and then highs in the teens. YAY! I LOVE WINTER!!! NOT!

Other than that...not too much new around here. So, I'm not into the Feng Shui, do you re-decorate your house every year? And since it's the year of the rabbit, do you incorporate rabbits in your decorating? Don't laugh...I really have no idea how Feng Shui works. I know it has something to do with how you place things in your house and something to do with not putting things by the front door or something like that. LOL

YIKESS!!!!! That sounds c-c-c-c-ooooold.

Oh no, boy that would be expensive and exhausting  Not laughing at you but at the thought of me attempting to redecorate every year. Once every 10 years or so is plenty. I so dont have that kind of energy. It's more about the flow of energy, the 5 elemets and how they can affect a space and the individual in that space whether for good or bad and keeping things in harmony and balance. So, each year we may need to move or add something in the house that will activate or neutralize the energy in a given spot. Like, adding a plant or moving a decorative water fountain to another spot. Things like that. I mean there's more to it but nothing major.

Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to this posting thing. Seems addictive...and fun! Anyway, I was wondering how do I know if I've been added to the list for DVC Member's Cruise and the fish extender project. I don't get online very often and I assume there is a way to figure it out without reading through every post. Thanks a lot and can't wait to meet some of you on the ship!

Nope you will have to read all the posts, just kidding

So, with that said, how many of you are going to take advantage of just re-boarding right away and having an empty ship all to yourself? And how many of you are going to go back into the terminal to get pictures of the terminal decorated with SSMember Cruise stuff? I know...I know...decisions...decisions.

I dunno. Are the decorations that big of a deal? We can always snag pics from our fellow SSMCers. :thumbsup2

Hi Debbie,
The link didn't work for me. Does it work for anyone? Maybe it's just my wireless modem or their site is down right now?

Not working for me either. I'm guessing it's one of the videos from Passporter though ... http://www.youtube.com/user/PassPorterGuides . Click on the "uploads" link on the right to see a list of all their videos, including all the new ones from the Dream!

Michael - THANKS! Yes, that was the video. I wonder why it didn't work when I cut & pasted it?! Oh well....thanks for helping out with that!! :thumbsup2

I love that she has a video of how to make your iPod/iPhone play through the dock speakers. :thumbsup2

Karen - I'm a picture nut...I take pictures of everything. I just think the decorations are neat; they're like a prelude to what we're about to experience on the ship. And I wonder if they will change them up this year since it's DVC's 20 year anniversary and the Dream's inaugural year.

Here are some from last year.

Great pics! Thanks! From what I had read, I thought we had to get off and go back through the terminal for customs and a new pic/KTTW. Will we not be in the area the decorations are in? This is my first cruise, so I have NO clue what the set up is like. :confused3

The way I was thinking they did it was kind of escorted us (as a group) to the counter to get our new KTTW and then right back on the ship. So, I really don't know if they let us look around the terminal or not. When you first get there (on the 15th) you'll go up an escalator (or elevator) to the terminal. When you get off the ship (on the 18th & 22nd) you don't go back in that area...you go down an escalator (or elevator). I've never done a B2B so I don't know for sure where they'll send us.

Our only problem is this: our kids and relatives are coming with us on the 15th-18th. Then they are all going home and we are staying for the member cruise. I'm not sure if they'll need us to help them back to the airport with our kids or not. On one had I *want* to go with them to the airport and come back and see how the terminal is decorated. On the other hand I want to stay on the ship and take advantage of doing a B2B and having an empty ship to take lots of pictures! *sigh*

Ahhh, well, you potentially have a reason other than just taking pictures to get off the ship for a while then.

I wonder if we ask nicely, if they will let us wander for a few minutes to take pictures of the decorations. I've also heard that sometimes there is no escort. They just give you directions and you are on your own. I don't know that we'll find out which it will be until the night before the SSMC. :confused3

You're right...I guess we'll know the night before. LOL

My DSiL & her hubby and two kids are coming on the cruise on the 15th. My DMiL is supposed to go too, but she's kind of wishy-washy about it and isn't 100% sure she wants to go. If she doesn't go then we HAVE to help take the kids to the airport because I don't want my DSiL & her hubby to have to worry about FOUR kids 11, 8, 4 & 1 years old...getting through checking bags, security, and then finding the terminal. :scared1::scared1::scared1:
