Sorry - really wasn't lurking (although I've tried that in the past and failed). Hubby just left for work and I was frustrated about not getting on last night so I just sat down and got the page to reload - and there you guys were!!

Oh, my vote for the most ridiculous ... I can't park my _own_ car in front of my _own_ house on the street for more than 72 hours. It has to have been "substantially moved" or we can get a ticket. Well, the area in front of my house is only big enough for one car. It's so stupid.

One of you guys sent the cold weather down here Two days ago I'm wearing flip flops and put away all my "winter" clothes. This morning I am wearing long sleeves IN the house. It's like 50º or something outside

Not as as when the glass door of our wood burning stove exploded in my room while I was sleeping. I totally woke up screaming that time.

LOL Ok, got it! I need to get a new table and chairs for our kitchen nook. We haven't eaten in there in forever because the table is falling apart. And we don't use our dining room as a dining room. It's an extension of our living room and the boys school room. Sadly, we usually eat on the sofa and sometimes the boys eat at their desks.

It's ok....we're the same way. The kitchen table gets used for homework and the living room is where we eat. I know...a little backwards!

Now THAT has got to be the most ridiculous ordinance I've ever heard!!! I know we have some streets in our city where you aren't allowed to park on one side of the street, but I've never heard that you have to substantially move your vehicle or get a ticket. Does a code enforcement officer drive around and take pictures of where your car is parked every day?!

Terrie - we're dealing with high temps of 15-20 degrees, so 50 degrees would be bathing suit weather for us right now!
