HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GEORGE!!!! (Mr. Happy Camper)

Happy Birthday George!!! Make it a good one.

Thanks Debbie,

Well she is out of London and on her way to Dallas, then to Indy. I know Dallas is a little out of the way, but she decided to take a southern route, not knowing what kinda shape Chicago would be in. I just cancelled her room in London which she was holding as a backup plan, after she departed for sure.

Yay for her! Thank goodness my fingers were cramping ;)

Very glad she will make it home for the holidays! (Maybe a song like that might be good! Nah, it'll never sell...:rotfl2: )

Well, I gotta go clear the driveway and start getting ready for work! Have a great day!!!
Wait... Doesn't he have a plow? Why would YOU have to clear the driveway when he has the plow? That just doesn't seem right! :confused3

We were getting pretty worried about that. There was snow moving in right behind her departure making her Wednesday option not look so good. England is not very well prepared for snow removal, so when they get very much, it really shuts stuff down.

Is your daughter getting on okay through the storm?

No foolin'! That is a massive understatement. They are only prepared for liquid snow. :lmao:

Yes, they live close to a Tube stop, so they haven't much trouble getting to where they need to go. Tesco and Sainsbury both provide delivery for groceries, so that makes her happy. :dance3:

I am so sure you will not hear ANY grumblings from DS16 on that task... :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: Oh, there was some MAJOR grumbling yesterday from him. His dad told him he could do what he was told without attitude or bring down all his electronics from his bedroom and have his Christmas canceled. :scared1:

I'm not sure what got into him today though. He got up and I told him it was his turn to do dishes. He's spent the last hour in there doing dishes, wiping down the cabinets, mopping the floor, etc. I have to put up with him playing his music in there and listening to him singing, but cleaning without me asking ... or complaint ... ??? I'll take it!:banana::banana:

I SHOULD GET LAURA TO TAKE MY PHOTO IN BACKYARD IN MY SHORTS IN THE SNOW:rotfl2:

You sound like my DH. He wears shorts year round. You can tell when he thinks it's an important occasion because he'll put on jeans.

On the drive down to Disneyland we had to put on tire chains. We're standing out there trying to figure out how to get the stupid things on and one of the chain crew members came by. He looked at the DH and said, "I can see that you dressed for the weather." and then looked at me (bundled up in my winter gear) and gave me the your-husband-is-obviously-cracked-in-the-head look. I paid him $20 to chain us up and we were on our way.

Hmmmm, something about that last sentence just doesn't look right ...

No, I think it looks perfectly right! :thumbsup2

On the other hand, was DS anywhere close by? :rotfl2:

At least one of the tube stations was very overcrowded. Lara said people were lined up for 7 hours to catch the metro train. And 4 of those hours were outside.

He's trying to get off of the NAUGHTY List. :thumbsup2

That last sentence is wrong on soooo many levels! :flower3:

DD is very lucky. Because of where she lives and because of where her office is (right across the street from the Tower) she can either take the Tube or the DLR to get home or to work! ;) She did wear her Uggs home last week.

She has been known to walk home. Or run. But I don't see her doing either of those in the very near future! :lmao:

She home safe in Indy. She thinks she was on one of the last two flights that made it out of London ... probably for several days because of the new and forecast snow.

I was mistaken earlier. The Tube travel was screwed up because of the snow, but it was the surface trains that had 7 hour lines of people.

Thank you all for your well wishes and pixie dust!
