Hi Peloha86
I saw on another thread that you are staying at BWV after the cruise, so we will be shipmates on the cruise and neighbors afterward. We are in a boardwalk view studio after.

Sweet! :thumbsup2 My family will be thoroughly be suprised...the whole cruise, etc..:goodvibes My husband knows about the cruise, not the details!!! :rotfl2:
The kids don't know anything except that they'll be missing school...:rolleyes1

Now please remind me, are you related to the Potters? There are lots of them!

and congrats on the pirate:!

 I know you're right. These people just won't quit! (of course ALL of my 900 posts are in this thread, exclusively)
Hey John! :wave2: How are things across the pond? Better I hope. :flower3: I will have my arsenal of pharmacopia for the cruise, just.in.case...

Congrats Jennifer and Mike!

I wasn't lurking, honest. I was one page back, responding. Then even took the time to edit my post and didn't even know how close I landed until I read all the way up to where my post fell.

Yep, we brought Nyquil and vitamin C with us. But as soon as I got sick, I immediately thought about your pharmacopia. Initially I thought you were a little over-doing it, but figured it couldn't hurt. Now I'm right there with ya!

Thanks for asking ... I'm feeling great today! (and yesterday, because it's 3 am here).

How is Laran? Is it a little past 3 pm over there?

No I am not a Potter, but I look forward to meeting them and all the other posters. We have not met anyone on this cruise. We have benn DVC members since 1992. This will be our 1st member cruise. It is my wife Debbie and me, Mike

Oh, I meant 3 am...:rolleyes1 Yes, it's a bad virus/cold out there. I've seen a second wave of people and little ones get sick with cold/flu-like symptoms. It.is.not.fun.at.all. My body never ached so much. I will be prepared for the cruise!:thumbsup2

3 am here (but you probably are reading that on my next post by now)

Laran is fine. Her nose dried up yesterday, but still has a lingering cough. She barely slowed down when she was sick, so it's hard to tell any difference.

Kinda funny. She was staying on Eastern Time for the first month, going to bed around now. But lately, when Lara takes her game and goes to bed, Laran comes and gets me to put her in bed with her game. I never really forced her to go to bed at any special time. She always came and told me when she was ready for bed. On occasion, she would just go to bed herself (if we were staying at a friend's house, where I told her the blanket on the floor was her bed).

By the way, for any of you who have pre-school age kids, I would highly recommend the Leapster. That thing is amazing. At 3 yrs old, she is doing stuff I did in school. It teaches them to draw letters and works with numbers. She knows the alphabet and numbers up to 20. As they get better the game progresses, plus they have various cartridges for age groups. Every young child should have one of these.

Y'all from these warm climates are killin' me

Actually I rarely eat ice cream (except I just had some yesterday).

Good night Jennifer

Hey Mike,

I think we will talk to a travel agent soon, and maybe do it in April. Doesn't look like we will be able to sail the Queen Mary 2 home because we missed the boat on that one. She's booked up for our travel date, so hopefully DL Paris is more do'able now.

Missing the boat is too bad, that would have been a wonderful way to return home. You will really enjoy DLP. Do you feel like a local yet?

 Nope ... I can't even get used to saying 'Cheers'. Old dog and new trick, maybe. Just darn lucky they speak (a version of) English. Driving is a whole 'nuther trick. No problem when you're going with the flow, but you really must stay alert when you're in the lead. It would be impossible to get anywhere without GPS! Even a having navigator with a paper map would be a challenge. The GPS shows which lane you should be in. When you're not on a motorway (interstate), which is most of the time, you go through round-a-bouts every few miles. And some of them have 3 to 5 entry lanes, for which you need to start in the right one.

Sounds like quite the adventure. You will have to learn to drive in Indy all over again:rotfl2: Or you will just be driving in circles, Oh yeah that is the most famous way to drive in Indy.

Wonder if it's on YouTube yet?

Boardwalk is where we got hooked on DVC. I really like the place, but Lara would rather see the new facilities. They seem to build them as fast as we can get back there.

I forget why you were there without Jim and Lilly, was this a girls trip?

Yep!! A girl trip, indeed. Each year five of us go away for three nights. This year it was Disney....again!! It better not be on YouTube.

Sometimes Lara comes back after a week or two here, and has trouble driving on the right side of the road. So I bet it will be a challenge after 3 months.

We have about 4 round-a-bouts near the house in Indy (not including the track), but they are nothing compared to the multitude and apparent chaos they have here.

I guess when you do online checkin, they now give you a "port arrival time". But, as of yet, they aren't enforcing it. So, if your port arrival time is at noon and you show up at 10 am, they are still letting you in the building. I'm not sure they ever will enforce it either. I think it's just to try to discourage everyone from showing up at the same time.

I will let you all know how it goes when we get back from our March 31st cruise. I did check in online and got a "port-arrival time". Let's see how that goes. I will update once we are home.:thumbsup2

Hi Kelly,
I'm just ready to sign off.
Good night.

PS If it is on YouTube, I bet some one on here will find it. It's amazing the information people can dig up, here. Great networking tool.
