OK, how can I put this nicely???

Please remember that DCL does not allow people to board the ship once they have reached their 24th week of pregnancy.

With 7 months to go, that is kinda a little over the 24 week limit.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day.

So how about going out for a nice round of miniature golf instead?
:rolleyes1

Hi Debbie-a few questions. You pu the car at MCO and go to the Radisson. Does the car rental include the time you are on the cruise? So if I get this right you pay for Saturday through cruise through WDW stay and back to MCO. Does this work out better than the Disney Transportation? I've been reading suggestions on getting to Port. We will be 3. My mom [84] who came with us last year needed a wheelchair from the bus to the terminal. The bus took care of luggage, wheelchair etc.and we checked in at the airport for the cruise. Is it just as easy doing it on your own?? Thanks-my head is starting to spin already.
Vicki

The biggest reason we rent a car is FREEDOM!!! We fly in the night before because you never know about the weather around here in Chicago:confused3 We stay at the Raddison because parking is included in the stay. It costs about the same to park at the terminal as it does to get the room and it's not as hectic of a day as it would be if you flew in the day of the cruise. Over the years I have found that alamo offers the best rates, but I also reserve it almost a year out with Entertainment book coupons. We have a Ford Fusion or similar this year from Sept. 14th - 25th for $256.23.
It's been along time since we have even checked it to Disney's transportation or Mears, a limo, horse and carriage or anything else other than renting a car. As I recall the cost was around $200 round trip. I like my freedom with a car, freedom to go get booze for the cruise or to walmart to pick up a couple things we forgot or to eat at Mickey D's to save some money on a meal. I hate waiting for BUSES!!!
I hope this helps:goodvibes

Yes!!! That should be the only hole in one you should be thinking of!!!:rotfl:

I have read that if I went on a "regular" DCL cruise rather than the superfantabulouslyawesomeness that is known as the SSMC 2011 there would be a meeting/presentation for DVC members where you could get door prizes and raffles and other free and fun stuff. Also that there is a sales pitch meeting for non members where they also do giveaways and a sales pitch to join our elite group.

Since this is the Member's Cruise and DVC is already loading us down with gifts and stuff, do either of these meetings still take place on this cruise?

I do not wanna come across as greedy but I am a true DVC/Disney junkie and I need my fix and will take all the free and fun stuff I can get my hands on; either for myself or to give out to friends and family...

I realize that the first step is admitting you have a problem. If I did have a problem then I would admit it, but I do not so quit nagging me about it and get me a Mickey Bar already! :mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I got pregnant with my first on Valentine's Day 17 years ago. It was our first V-day as married people and I made a huge (really really good) Chinese food dinner just for the two of us. I haven't made Chinese food since. :lmao:

We were married on New Year's Eve, pregnant on Valentine's Day, he was due on Halloween and he was (finally) born on Veterans' Day (which also happens to be his grandma's birthday too).

I'll endeavor not to repeat that year this year!

The only one I know of that they had on last years member cruise was a big presentation for Aulani. (Sp?) Everyone got an invitation for their scheduled time (there were two presentations). Your invitation had your name on it (if I recall correctly) and that went into a box. At the end of the presentation they pulled names from the box and gave away points. The "grand prize" of that drawing was either a week at WDW or this year's member cruise. I can't remember. I didn't win so it didn't matter to me. :lmao:

I don't blame you one bit for never making Chinese food again. I'd be afraid to as well! :rotfl2:

I've heard that you get so much free stuff already that you need a spare bag for each guest! Good thing DH and I are driving down- my parents have already told us that we're going to be bringing their stuff back to our home because of the cost of baggage!

I've heard that you get so much free stuff already that you need a spare bag for each guest!

For _each_ guest? :scared1::scared1::scared1: I heard the extra bag part, but I wasn't thinking that was for all four of us. I'm planning on packing "lite", but I'm a pack rat by nature. So, it's going to be a struggle for me.

Hmmmm, pack rat AND a night owl ... I'm thinking my inner animals may be in conflict ...

I just watched the Dream sail out on the webcams. :woohoo: Cannot wait until WE are on that ship and other people have to sit and watch US sail out to sea!!!

Debbie, you can watch me, Terrie, Shawn & Milford in May :goodvibes (maybe I can bring on a huge DISBOARD FLAG, and wave it as we're heading out :confused3)

Thanks Julio and Debbie-did you call Radisson directly or go through AAA or ARP or something else? We are going to WDW in May for the D23 week end and got a good deal on a car through Hotwire. This is the 4th time we went through them and we always get a good deal. This time the car is with Hertz-they don't tell you what rental company until you book it.
Is anyone else going to the D23 week-end?
Vicki

For those who are taking part in the FE madness, how many have done it before? It seems to me that there will be far more things received than given, based upon sheer numbers. Will we need an additional bag for that stuff too? That would be a single bag for our stuff, another bag for the DVC swag, and yet another one for the FE stuff, right? :scared1:
