Happy Thanksgiving afternoon (EST) to everybody! Well, the cheesecakes, chocolate cream pies and cream puffs have been completed so my part for dinner is complete and now I just have to keep the dogs away from it all until tonight. I hope everyone is enjoying this day, whether it be with football, family, friends or other fun. I have learned that life can be fleeting and unexpected so, to all my new friends, you are in my thankful heart and prayers. I am fortunate to have found this board which has brought me to each of you. I am eager to get a chance to meet you all.God bless you today and always, no matter what your definition of God may be.

Ok, Tom the Turkey is in the oven and the kitchen is still somewhat clean....that is until I start putting together all the side dishes! (Green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, cheesy potatoes, olive tray, deviled eggs). So, while I'm taking a short break, I thought I'd offer a spiked egg nog to anyone that would like to join me. Yes, that's right I'm drinking and it's not even noon yet!!

Would love to, but I am working today. We are having a HUGE potluck!
Happy Turkey Day! I might need a drink when I get off work, some of the stores are already opening at midnight!

I am not sure if you got the cheesecake or not. I placed it on the slide out drawer on my computer and then pressed "SEND" but my computer just made a weird noise and started smoking so...

That's the cup holder ... (or at least what the i t geek told me)

We have the apple pie in the oven and are just waiting for it to finish so that we can go over the river and through the woods to Grandmas house. (of course crossing the river and going through the woods means turning a 5 to 7 min trip into about a 45 mins to an hour trip ... But we are looking forward to spending family time with my in-laws. Nancy and I wish everyone a happy day!
