Ian, I like your description of the river! Can you order the coffee on;ine - or do you just like taking the trip?! ;)

I THINK MY FAVOURITE ISBUTTER TOFFEE, I THINK THATS WHAT ITS CALLED. IM SUPPOSED TO BE CROSSING THE RIVER HERE TO GET MY BIG ORDER FROM MACYs. BY THE WAY THE RIVER IS WHAT WE HERE ON THE BORDER NEAR NIAGARA FALLS CALL THE NIAGARA RIVER WHEN WE CROSS INTO THE STATES. OR WE CALL IT THE DITCH:rotfl2:

Butter toffee sounds good - what brand is it?

I think they should outlaw the "invisible" mode!!!

Wally - I thought you'd be lurking. WTG!

I didn't have a clue!!!!! Had to look it up on dictionary.com :rotfl2:

I had to post this quick while Indiana is in the "lead".
I think clayfolks is from Illinois, which would put the Midwest in a tie with the Northeast, but it hasn't been confirmed yet, so I'll wait.

WOO HOO!!!!! GO HOOSIERS!!!!! WE'RE IN THE LEAD!!!!!

That sounds awesome!! Maybe I'll throw some money at my guys soon and tell them to get out of the house for at least half the day. :rotfl2:

Tell them it's a "mandatory me myself and I day for mom". :rotfl: Junior has gotten a lot better lately at going grocery shopping for me and taking at least one of the kids with him. So that's nice, too...but sometimes I *DO* make him take both kids out so I can get some quick cleaning done. I give a lot of credit to single parents...I can't imagine how they do it.

Good Morning fellow cruisers!

It's going to be a very nice day here in Jersey - and it's Friday .

Hopefully it will be a quiet weekend - I have had enough excitement lately.

I heard from my son in Afghanistan this past week (my reason for not being very social this week or so). He has decided to extend his work there for another 6 months - so needless to say, I'm very conflicted with my feelings again. I'm very worried because things seem to be heating up over there - and besides that's what us mothers get to do - worry!!! But when he tells me that he wants to stay and finish the job he has started and train the new guys that will be coming in December, I'm so proud of him that I could bust! So my emotional roller coaster will now continue until sometime in June - oh my that sounds so very far away.

Please send a little pixiedust: our way! I really appreciate how supportive everyone has been.

Have a great weekend everyone! I have to work, but will try to pop in from time to time to say hi.

 and pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: Your son is in our thoughts and prayers. I know what you mean about the roller coaster of feelings. My son is only 11 right now but I know how crushed I would be if he joined the military, but then I know how honored I would be at the same time.

I love do scrapbooking, but like you i can't find the time to do it. When my son was 6 months old i started his scrapbook of his first year... Well lets just say he turn 2 in september and in his scrapbook i haven't even made it past the page with the pics from the hospital on them. lol i want to work on it but i just can't find the time.

Maybe we can start a support group for scrapbooking. We can encourage each other to dedicate one night a week to scrapbooking! :rotfl2: I think I will choose Thursday nights since DS has basketball practice and DD has girl scouts. :thumbsup2

i wish your son all the best over there!
We appreciate everything they do. My friends son has been over there a couple times now with the canadian forces. He cant even tell his parents where or what he is doing. The work he is trained for is undercover.

Now that would just scare the crap out of me if my son couldn't tell me where he was or what he was doing. :scared: Your friends must have nerves of steel to be able to deal with that!

I've gotten lost.... I can't remember what page I was on last because my DF is always getting on here and reading but he won't get on here and type anything kind of like my DM (Lara)

Should we all beg him to join, too? If we got your mom to give in to peer pressure, maybe we can get your DF to give in, too? :lmao:

Very greatful for what the soldiers do for us. My BBF's boyfriend is over there right now also... He will be there till September. It's very hard for her. She says that she use to ask him all the time what are you doing today and she began to notice he says just about the same thing everytime... she said like they are trained to not tell what they are actually doing. Its strange.. My cousin is in Texas right now awaiting to be deployed too... I asked him about it and he said they monitor the phone conversations. For my cousin Luckly we will see him one last time before he leaves... He gets to come home for thanksgiving. :) Best wishes to you and your family. pixiedust: :)

My brother was in the Air Force. He said there are things he is absolutely not allowed to discuss (even though he's discharged). I wonder if the military planted a chip in him...I mean how would they know what he discusses?! And what exactly would the consequences be IF he DID discuss any of this highly confidential information?! But he doesn't discuss anything and honestly I don't think I want to know about anything of the inner workings of our government or military OR any of their secrets!

Thanks Debbie, I appreciate the kind thoughts. And thanks to your brother for serving. It's not an easy thing to do!

So, the Dream is supposed to be leaving the Meyer Werft shipyard today or tomorrow. So, you might want to keep an eye on the webcam.
I've been watching it this morning and there are an awful lot of people walking up on the top deck. So, I wonder if she'll be leaving today. I can't tell from this, though, if she's scheduled to leave at 4:30 or 7:00 or the 12th or 13th. http://redaktion.meyer-neptun.de/exfiles/8/ueberfuehrungsplan disney dream englisch.pdf

Well, DISNEY way at least...

I just joined the forum and started reading the original of this thread and a zillion others last night. :surfweb:

I am sooooooo excited for this cruise and after reading on this thread, even more excited to get to know some of you and rock this cruise together! I am at work now but tonight I will try to spend some more time catching myself up on this thread and then getting myself onto the cruise site, planning for the sunrise coffee group, investigating all kinds of other things and most importantly, continuing to work on my strategy for riding the aquaduck the most amount of times! :cool2:

I hope to become a VERY active member of this thread and can't wait to get to know you and let you get to know me. (Run now if you are smart- Hey, don't say I did not warn you :rolleyes1)

So, I sat by my computer all morning and watched the Meyer Werft webcam. Saw that they spelled out "DISNEY DREAM" in the stateroom lights on the ship. I went to lunch and came back an hour later and the ship was gone. :headache::headache::headache:

Yes, folks, SHE SET SAIL!!!!! :yay::yay::yay:
