Are you doing the Fort Wilderness Segway tour, or the Epcot one? We have done both, and the FW one is the BEST! We had such a blast the first time we did it, that we had to do it again this year! :yay:

We are doing the Epcot one. We have also done both. I like both of them equally, but we did Ft. Wilderness segway last time, so this time it's Epcot :thumbsup2

Congrats Jennifer and her San Fran Gigantes on their World Series Victory :yay:

Actually Indiana did a pretty good job laying out their county roads (where I enjoy motorcycle riding the most). The county seat is usually the largest city and is typcially located near the center of each county. This city is zero-zero for the county roads. Every mile you are away from this city is a new road number. For example if you were at the intersection of county road 200 South and 350 East, you are located 2 miles south of the county seat and 3.5 mile east (divide by 100).

This is partly why I can't handle the winding roads down south, but they are more fun to ride on. Without a GPS, or a view of the sky, I get turned around pretty easy. I swear some roads twist and turn ending back where you started. I've done that twice! Once on the motorcycle in southern Indiana and once mushroom hunting in Michigan.

Indiana USED to have a great license plate numbering system too. There are 92 counties, when arranged alphabetically, were the first two digits of the license plate number. Kind of fun driving down the highway, knowing where everyone is from. One time I was in Lake Wales, FL and some folks from my county left a note under my wiper telling me which city they were from and to say Hi. Also if you're downtown and you see an out of county plate, you could allow some extra courtesy for lane changes, etc. But eventually Indy, Gary, and Ft. Wayne outgrew their capacity and began digging into the remaining 8 prefix numbers. Now that is gone. We have been reduced to a small number above the plate number which is not large enough to see from any distance.

Haha I have to tell you... when I got my license and was getting a license plate for my car mom told me to pick one and I chose the one with the # on it were people knew what county you were from... Mom said " You're just like John, ya'll are nosey. " haha.

4 more sleeps until our gang is at WDW!

So excited to meet you Wally and Terrie and Dan (with your silent wife Sue). I'm on :cloud9:

We are "bringing" my folks with us as their Christmas present from last year and they are retired so they decided to drive and play golf at several places along they way. My mom called me this morning to let me know they are on their way. Happy but jealous. :cool1:

Fortunately we are flying so we will be there Friday early afternoon!

Whoo hoo!

Can't wait to see you guys. We're having a great time up here in Mickey Land.

For this cruise, how many on here are bringing kids? I know happy campers and sue are but not sure who else. I think several of us chatted back on the 1st thread but this is a pretty good size group and I am losing track. :scared:

Right now I feel I am struggling to keep up with everything. Work, helping with kids activities, mandatory training for scout committee position, work, household chores, work, court of honors invites, 2 DIS cruise threads, yardwork, laundry, work, planning DD's 7th birthday next month, and more. It'll all work out but vacation is just around the corner. But then :santa: arrives just 24 days after we return.:scared1:

I'm bringing my two teen boys. We recently (last year) have made the Court of Honor planning and executing the realm of the Scouts. We just have a mentor (usually the Communications MBC) work with the planner(s) to make sure all the bases are covered. This has taken SUCH a weight off my shoulders. Now I only have to give a compiled list of awards, etc. to the scout doing the program, buy the awards and fill out the cards (or print them). Everything else is taken care of. I used to have to do it all. SOOO exhausting!!

Wow John you have a better relationship with your GPS than I do. I mainly just tell mine to shut up when it is recalculating for the millionth time after I miss another turn. :confused3

Thats one reason I don't have one  the darn girl never shuts up when you don't listen to her specific directions. :rotfl:

Wow! Very coincidental and, if it works, stick with it. If they fixed your SIL up better than Super Man, these people must really know what they're doing and are current with the latest technology.

We are hoping for a healty and speedy recovery, along with everone else here.

Well, technically it was another hospital that did the surgery. It was done at OHSU. But, she was initially admitted through Salem Hospital. :goodvibes

I have a name for my co-pilot (DW). I call her "the Nagigator." (boy I really hope she never logs on here) :)

There are names on the GPS for the various voices. Like the US has Jack and Jill. I think one of them is Sheila, maybe Australia? Anyone else?

She doesn't have to log on here.... I'll have to tell her you said that one. Even though its some what of the truth :rotfl2: That was a good one though.:thumbsup2:lmao:
