I wish everybody a great day! I have to go call on potential customers. Somebody has to support this WDW DVC habit!!! Sue is already talking about how many points we can add on during the cruise. :lmao:

1 night pre, and 3 nights post cruise. Don't want to be late getting to the boat!
Where are you staying? We are staying at our friend's house the night before. They're going on the cruise with us and I don't want to use points.

We haven't worried about this yet, plus boarding is so late. Think it really is a good idea to go down a day early? Still up in the air, and wasn't thinking about booking a room (hotel not points) until 6mo beforehand at earliest.

Also anyone do the transportation service through WDW? They offered when we signed up, kind of curious if it is worth it (or is it just timed bus schedule)? :confused3

I just booked our pre and post cruise stay this morning. We'll be at BCV for both pre and post cruise.

I always think it's a good idea to go down the day before. The very 1st cruise I went on, with my Mom sailed from San Juan I think at 6 pm. We had an early flight from O'Hare to San Juan but it was delayed and several other problems once we landed. I remember her and I running down the dock to get to the ship. Pulled away from the dock as soon as we boarded. Luckily my Mom was a travel agent at that time and was able to contact someone so they didn't give us much static. From now on - I go a day early.

We like to stay at The Radisson at the Port the night before.

We booked a studio at OKW for 3 nights following the cruise. Last time, we only stayed two nights because I wanted to get home Saturday so I could spend Sunday doing laundry and putting everything away. Well...that was over a month ago and I still haven't put everything away! :rotfl2: I think way back in my mind I'm thinking if I put everything away that means the vacation is really over, and it was such a great vacation that I don't want to come to terms with the fact that it's over.

I am so stuffed. We had a mexican fiesta here today. One of the girls make lunch and brought it in. Homemade tacos, flautas, refried beans, rice, salsa, guacamole (not too spicy), etc. It was fantastic. :woohoo:

We're planning on doing that too, don't want to rush it getting to the Dream. :drive: The trip is a surprise for our kids. :rolleyes1

We can't book a DVC property until Feb (7 months out) or we might stay somewhere near WDW. Never been to Florida before. Still figuring out the details

Hi George,
We used to travel by Disney Bus. Friendly atmosphere traveling with others going on the same cruise, and they play disney shorts or something like that on the monitors. For just two people, this is probably more cost effective.
Lately we have been renting a car at the airport and driving to Cocoa Beach the day prior. Several hotels there will let you leave your car at their hotel during the cruise. The car give us more flexibility for dinner and supply purchases. It also gives us a place to store stuff not going on the ship. At least one person on here said they do the same, but return the car during the cruise (I think from the terminal?). The hotels then use a private bus service to shuttle guests (for a fee) to the terminal.
As TiggerMeToo says, the ship leaves whether your flight gets cancelled or not. So I agree with Tigger, better to arrive early.

May I change the subject and brag a moment?

My daughter had her 4th boy last night!!!!!!:cool1: His name is Lincoln and he weighed 8lbs 12oz. We are so excited and happy. The family is doing well, grandpa and grandma are very tired today;)

Does your daughter all have boys?

My sister had 5 girls, and couldn't get it right once. :rotfl2: At least your daughter knows what she's doing.
