ehm eye see...kay eee why....:cheer2:

You know, we never had cable TV when I was a child, so I missed out on all the Mickey Mouse Club stuff. Of course there was The Wonderful World of Disney movies on (Sunday evening I think). In fact we had a black & white TV. This is not to say that cable and color TV wasn't around. All my friends had it. I never even noticed the difference until about 5th grade when we were talking about the Gumball Ralley from the night before. All my friends were talking about the blue and red cars. I couldn't figure out which one was which, because they were both dark grey to me. That old Zenith with vaccuume tubes outlasted our new color solid state Zenith.

OK, sander is re-greased. Better go outside to test it. Lucky my wife isn't here, because she'd be complaining about the sander overhaul on the dining table. :scared1:

Ever hear the one about the guy who bought a new chainsaw, guaranteed to cut 5 ricks of wood a day. He brought it back the next day and said it barely cut one rick and wanted his money back. The salesman check the chain to be sure it was sharp. It was fine. Then he started it up. The man jumped back and asked what that noise was.

Well, re-greasing the sander didn't work very long this time. But I was close enough done that I just shut it off and used the sander by hand, like a sanding block. I felt like the chainsaw guy. Hope none of the neighbors were watching. :rolleyes2

We had a Zenith too! And so did my grandfather, I used to watch him change the bulbs...it did last long! :wizard:

One day when I went to work...my husband said that he'll "sand the kithchen table", I reminded him to do it outside...when I came home, there sure was a lot of "pixie dust" pixiedust:in the kitchen...:sad2:...he just , funny guy he is...:lmao:

Makita!! Orbital sander with catch bag and SEALED bearings for $60-70 US.

Hand sanding / scraping gives it character though :thumbsup2

Okay, so you're saying that I can stay out of trouble with my wife, if I start referring to dirt as "pixie dust", right ;) The difference is, unless she reads this, she'll never know, because I'll have it all cleaned up shortly. Nobody tell her a word about this. :ssst:

I did paint the garage floor with that grey epoxy. Then to liven up the grey color (and to hide dirt and imperfections) you sprinkle the wet painted floor with colored flecks. I called that pixie dust. Of course that would make me a fairy.

Happy Wednesday!

Are there any NASCAR fans on the thread?

Thank you :goodvibes It sails on April 7, 2012. We are very excited to say the least :yay: Yeah, the MV was pricier than the other sailings but it's something that only happens once. I hear they do special things for a MV too. On the up side we only had to put the deposit down which is about 20% and then the rest isn't due until December of 2011 so we have over a year to pay for it. We used our Disney Visa so the deposit gets 6 months of 0 interest.

I am going to guess Laura and Dudley :lmao:

Don't tell Stacey. I think she has bird issues similar to my shark issues  Ian posted a picture of a crane and poor Stacey went all flashbacks of Hitchcock :lmao: Sorry Stacey  it's just comforting to come across someone else who may have some wildlife issues. Yours are in the air, mine are in the water. See we are seeeeeesters :flower3:[/QUOTE]

I have to wait for DS to be finished watching the varsity game - they always make the JV sit and watch when their game is over! So posting I will go!! :rotfl:

It's going to be a late one tonight - the Phillies game doesn't start until 8 or so! (that's EST)
