Good morning my fellow DISpeeps!

I just returned from the Dr. and he seems happy with how the surgery went. I have some minor restrictions as expected, but I am clear to cruise with no worries!!! <=== BTW, that is one of my restrictions... LOL

I will meet with the Physical Therapist this afternoon to make plans for my rehab. The doctor said they would be able to give me some stuff to do while I am on the trip so that should be fun.

I got a bunch of magnets done yesterday and will try to get the gift tags done this afternoon/evening. Tomorrow after work I will need to get everything together that is going on the trip. Because of the quantity of what I am bringing vs. a weak and healing knee, I will be shipping down a box and that will be given to UPS on Thurs. Wow, it is amazing how this has suddenly become "real" instead of planning. I can't believe how soon I will go from dreaming to Dream-ing <=== Not a restriction so:

We're bringing "Dug" our dog on a playdate with his sitter.
He'll be with a lab, 2 goats and 2 horses, and a cat. All on half an acre. He'll have so much fun! He gets depressed when we leave.

Just a friendly reminders to bring:

Waterproof camera
Waterproof "purse"
Sun block
Chargers for all the "electronica"
Extra magnets
SD card
Flip flops
Magnetic dry erase board
Glue
Tape
"Pharmacopia" this includes:

We may lose a few, but I wouldn't be surprised if we pick up more than we lose. Probably not everyone will play poker. It sounds like we have a plan. We will do the Room Tour as I described, but add that we will also pick out a public location to gather after the tour. We will determine the winners there.

To anyone new here, you are more than welcome to join us. Last year we were excited to see the new ship, and devised the Room Tour as a way to look over accomodations. Personally, I really wanted to see the virtual porthole in action, since we rarely book an outside cabin.

PS We are really heavy on Category 5 rooms. If there is anyone with a category not already on the list who wouldn't mind several dozen of us trampeling through, please let me know.

I called all morning (while actually walking through Epcot) and they answered the phone at 3pm. I was hold until 4:30 and my sister and I were on our way back to the hotel to get ready for last years Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon. I had to take what rooms I could get, plus there are 5 of us. At that point we took the best room we could afford -pointwise.

Question about the DISBoard meet - do you think we should have name tags or something like that? I have no problem introducing myself or asking someone who they are, I'm just thinking that it might be hard to remember the names. Any ideas?

Hmmm .... What does everyone think? Does anyone already have a stack of name tags?

As far as for me, I'm sure folks that frequent this thread will recognize me since my avatar is of me and Lara. And when we met Dan and Sue in London, it was no problem for either of us, because I had seen pictures of them too. But for those who don't have photos posted, or don't post very often, I imagine it would be more difficult.

Is Appleton recovering from the storms? On the other side of Lake MI, they had a storm watch out, but then cancelled it. So I guess it broke up over the lake.

I talked with a guy in our marina who spends a lot of time in Sheboygan? ... well now I can't remember the city. He said it was about an hour east of Appleton. He told me that the storm rolled over semi trucks too.

join on the tour and volunteer our messy room. I knwo it will be messy but someone did say we could put our luggage under the beds and stuff everything in the closet. That might be us. But, since we are driving we will be bringing more than the usual on a cruise. Extras: Wine, boogie boards, canopy for the beach, beach toys, lots of 4T princess dresses.

John - - -We are recovering ... City crews are out again today en mass clearing up parks and other public spaces ... it looks like that the clean up will take quite a while.

It was a big storm ... Your friend may have been from either Manitowoc or Sheboygan. Sheboygan is south and east of us and Manitowoc is pretty much striaght east. Both are on the lake and about an hour away.
