It's a busy day at work! I'm hoping to get a good walk in at lunch time though. The high is only supposed to be 76 today. Going back into the 90's on Thursday and Friday.

I was thinking of brining a bottle of port or dessert wine for the late night Dismeet on the 24th. I'll also bring a "dessert" that should go nicely with the wine. I'll have my husband pick a drink of his choice.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to attend because we're flying out that afternoon, but we wanted to be with everyone in spirit.

How's it going keeping the cruise secret from the kids? I laughed when I read about your family meeting Wally & Terrie. How can you be on here so much and they remain clueless? Laran keeps stopping by all the time to look at the smilies.

So your first day in FL will be at the Port Hotel, right? Is the story gonna break when you drive into the Port to 'get a look at the new ship,' or are you going to tell them, "Let's just stop by and see if they have any last minute cancellations."? Either way try to have a camera ready, because I would love to see their faces when they first catch on.

Oh my kids, they are smartees, yes! We can't go through a whole movie without predicting what's next!
I think they may have an inkling...but they don't know that they are going to dress up as wenches...MUAHHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!
I'll get back on the thread in a bitsy, going costume shopping for the DH, read the previous post.

I'll play nice, but I did think a few of the posts over there were a bit rude. I get wanting a slower, more informative thread, but some of the comments over there were very curmudgeony.

Yeah, there's shades of ugly over there that remind me of why I don't often venture outside this thread.

It's kind of like when you're on Disney property vs being off property. This thread is on property...everywhere else on the DISboards is off property.

I posted over there too with my thoughts on the whole cliquish thing. I totally understand that this thread is fast, furious (all we need is Vin Diesel) and might not be everyone's cup of tea. I just didn't care for the label that couldn't be further from the truth.

I'm not sure which thread we're talking about here, but I've been on "Meet" threads before each my cruises and this one is no different (= fun, friendly, etc.). So, I'd say that the "other thread" is the one out of step (and possibly, out of line ). IMHO.

I find everyone to be very nice and I find that someone always respond's to my threads. Don't let the comments of a few get you down. From experience you will not always make everyone happy. I have seen new people
