I was reading that other thread and felt compelled to post a bunch of smileys and clickys but I refrained. I don't understand why they think we are cliquish! I have found that you guys have been extremely loving and caring considering that we didn't know each other till we started posting here. On top of that, there are some of us that haven't met and yet you all feel like family. Seems to me that they are way too impatient to or shy to try and keep up and that's it! All anyone needs to do is post for a week or so and get to know some of us and then pop on from time to time to keep in touch!! By the way, we need a SuzieQ update as well!! What's not to like about a group that just chats to one another about a common interest and becomes involved in each others lives enough to wish them the best in life? I don't know. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Well everybody....I must go to bed now. Have to get up early for my kiddos!! By the way, my student who was on the Dream this past weekend came back today. She said waters were very rough the first night...she got sick and so did her mom. She said they were at Animator's Palette and all green in the face, ready to leave, when the photographer came up and wanted to take pictures. My student had a great time, got to ride the Aquaduck a few times and played in the Mickey Pool. The smile on her face was priceless. I had tears in my eyes as she was telling me all about her trip. I wish every child could have this experience!!

Howdy all!
Unfortunately, this is just a drive-by post tonight. I wanted to stop in to say hello and give an extremely brief update.
My trip went well to Atlanta, loved the onion rings at the Varsity. I dealt with the earthquake over the telephone and everything was just fine in the end. I ended up leaving to return to NY on Friday instead of Sat due to the storm. That was a good choice as the airports all closed down on Sat and I would have been stranded there.
I had the knee surgery this morning. Everything seemed to go extremely well. I have been very sluggish from the drugs today and am about to pass out again LOL.
Tomorrow I will go back to page 68 and start to catch up. I will try to hop over to the end every now and then just to see what is going on. I expect to be on here a lot over the next few days and will gladly fill you all in on what else has been happening. Hopefully I did not miss anything important. I will speak with you all tomorrow!

I'm so glad your surgery went well. It's a good thing you flew out on Friday, we were wondering how you were doing. I'm glad the storm went by and is gone now.
Remember to stay on top of your pain meds so you can keep your knee mobile and not stiff. Or else we'll have to carry you on the ship!

I posted over there too with my thoughts on the whole cliquish thing. I totally understand that this thread is fast, furious (all we need is Vin Diesel) and might not be everyone's cup of tea. I just didn't care for the label that couldn't be further from the truth.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. I feel like you are ALL my family. I know it may seem weird to others, but that is just how I feel. I feel like I have made some great friends that will last me a lifetime!!

I lurk here more than I post. I have to say I enjoyed the Schaumburg Dismeet and was disappointed I could not make the Chicago one. I find everyone to be very nice and I find that someone always respond's to my threads. Don't let the comments of a few get you down. From experience you will not always make everyone happy.
