Hiya Mike!
I was born Dec. 20th 1973 and Deb was Sept. 12th 1970

I hate it being that close to Christmas though.

My birthday is December 28. Nancy's is December 3.

I was in my late 20's before I could convince my father (who to this day STILL misspells my first name after all these years ... ) that Christmas and my birthday were actually TWO different days. "Buy 2 separate gifts. Spend the same amount, just shop twice!"

Our anniversary is February 12. We aren't real big on the whole Valentines Day deal.

As a guy, I realize that I only have to remember 2 dates. Her birthday and our anniversary. If I show up with the unprompted suck up gift on those 2 dates, I'm good. If I show up with a unprompted suck up gift AND a card, I'm GOLDEN!

I'll play nice, but I did think a few of the posts over there were a bit rude. I get wanting a slower, more informative thread, but some of the comments over there were very curmudgeony.

Having some issues with coffee this morning. I need to check the heating/cooling system in the house because there seems to be an evaporation problem. I put coffee in my cup and the next thing I know, it's empty.

(I have heard that this happens with beer and possibly Konk Koolers as well! {not that I have ANY experience with that beer thing! }

As an aside ... Beer and Coffee are NEVER purchased. They are only rented for a short period of time ...

Howdy all!

Unfortunately, this is just a drive-by post tonight. I wanted to stop in to say hello and give an extremely brief update.

My trip went well to Atlanta, loved the onion rings at the Varsity. I dealt with the earthquake over the telephone and everything was just fine in the end. I ended up leaving to return to NY on Friday instead of Sat due to the storm. That was a good choice as the airports all closed down on Sat and I would have been stranded there.

I had the knee surgery this morning. Everything seemed to go extremely well. I have been very sluggish from the drugs today and am about to pass out again LOL.

Tomorrow I will go back to page 68 and start to catch up. I will try to hop over to the end every now and then just to see what is going on. I expect to be on here a lot over the next few days and will gladly fill you all in on what else has been happening. Hopefully I did not miss anything important. I will speak with you all tomorrow!

ANDY - so good to hear from you! Glad to hear that your surgery is over and you are doing well.

I was thinking of brining a bottle of port or dessert wine for the late night Dismeet on the 24th. I'll also bring a "dessert" that should go nicely with the wine. I'll have my husband pick a drink of his choice.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to attend because we're flying out that afternoon, but we wanted to be with everyone in spirit.
