I'm not sure which thread we're talking about here, but I've been on "Meet" threads before each my cruises and this one is no different (= fun, friendly, etc). So, I'd say that the "other thread" is the one out of step (and possibly, out of line ). IMHO.

I lurk here more than I post. I have to say I enjoyed the Schaumburg Dismeet and was disappointed I could not make the Chicago one. I find everyone to be very nice and I find that someone always respond's to my threads. Don't let the comments of a few get you down. From experience you will not always make everyone happy. Hi Sue, we went to the Chicago one and couldn't make the other one. Yeah, I can't recall anyone's question not being answered here The answer might be 5 pages away from the initial question but it's there I couldn't imagine anyone coming on here and not feeling welcomed, everybody here is so ... so ... well, awesomesauce!

Plus the FB site Terrie has developed has given individuals not interested in meeting through the Disboards a chance to get connected.

I'm all about options which is probably why I will be lugging 7 suitcases on this cruise Funny thing, I don't go on the FB group as much as I do here

I wish they didn't teach history as facts and dates in school. I didn't get interested until I started reading historical fiction. When you present the story in a way that you can see yourself in it, it's a whole lot more interesting and engaging than just throwing names, dates and events at a kid.

Oh tell me about it! I hated history for that same reason.

No one HAS to have a costume to be in the photo However, our night is on International Talk Like a Pirate Day. How co-inky-dinky is that! If there was ever any day to wear a pirate costume, that would be it!

And as I recall, anyone can get there right? If you were driving over, I guess you just tell the guard at the gate that's where you're going?
Then BLT people can escort others from TOTWL to Dan & Sue's room (if the elevators require room keys to certain floors).

I think it would be best to give the guard a list of the ones that will be coming to the party. That way you can get through with very little hassle. I'm sure they crack down on people trying to get in there right before the fireworks. I could be wrong but I think we should do that to make it a bit easier. We should also exchange numbers so that we know when you arrive.

Hey Dan/Sue,

I know y'all are still trying to catch up at work, but when you get caught up our plans have changed for the Illuminations boat ride. I think we previously had 3 seats reserved. As it turns out our older daughter, Caitlyn will be staying longer than thought (a wedding she was to be in, got called off, after she bought the maid's dress).

Anyway she will be able to babysit Laran for us. That will free up a seat allowing another couple to join us. Also, Lara wanted to make sure that we will be able to do it without purchasing entry into EPCOT.

No entry purchase to Epcot is required. You never get off the boat. We get on the boat at the Beach Club. We do have a challenge with your Illuminations cruise. Jennifer (peloha86) has cancelled for her family. Terri (TIGGERmetoo) has added 2 people. With your changes, that puts us 4 dispeeps down to help with the costs. Right now, that boat has Kelly and Jim, Lara and you, and Terri's two friends. Maybe I should go over to that "other thread" and see if anybody over there wants in since we have 4 spaces open. Before I do that, does anybody here want in? With 10 people in the boat (that is maximum) the cost is $35. per seat + tip.

Those are full. That's why our friends are on the Illuminations Cruise and we're on the Wishes Cruise.
