I know being on the DREAM is a "dream come true" for most people. However, I feel so bad for my little student. She will not get to go to Castaway Cay. That is one of the best things about a Disney Cruise!! I just keep thinking of her and am hoping she is not sick from all the rocking.

Something funny though...yesterday during class, I pulled up the Fishlips webcam and put it on the overhead to show my class as the DREAM and SENSATION were pulling away from port. The camera zooms in on the "sail away parties" and my students were right up on the screen watching....they were saying, "oh my...those people are waving at us" and "LOOK!!" I told my kids to wave back. The class was like...."can they see us??? Cool!"

It was hilarious!!

The very first SSMC was in February. Now they're in September (and October I guess next year) I have a hard time understanding why DVC chooses HURRICANE season to do the member cruises!?

I mean, don't get me wrong...last year's SSMC had the absolute calmest water I've ever sailed on, but I don't think that's typical for hurricane season.

I read on disboards that people who booked a cruise for October [forgot date] 20012 were told they need to change beacause the Dream was chartered out for that date. Maybe the members cruise will be in Oct. next year.

To our LI member cruise disboard friends good luck tonight & tomorrow with Irene. Walmart was out of D batteries Thursday-we got the last 2 packs at CVS! We put everything away yesterday so Chuck could play golf today

I am! I am going to go get a haircut! The problem is I have to find someone new to cut my hair. The girl that I went to for the last couple years left the place she was at and I don't know where she went. That's the THIRD time that's happened to me!!! UGH!


And, no, I never got a response from the school when I wrote that letter....I sent it anonymously. I didn't want them to know who wrote it in fear of them treating my son unfairly in retaliation.

Uh, THIRD time? Maybe they don't like cutting your hair!


I didn't think about the possible retaliation for the letter, makes sense that you didn't sign it.

I was just on that thread!! I will NOT be going back. He has no reason to be rude to my friend. I almost wanted to correct all his spelling errors and tell him how mad, as a teacher, that makes me!
