Somebody once asked our oldest DD, "What was the most important thing your father taught you?" She replied,"That roads are merely a convenience." :rotfl2::thumbsup2:rotfl2:

In your case though, I don't that that is what she was talking about!

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

And now in honor of MY heroes I submit the following:

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.- Ambrose Redmoon

Excellent 1000th post!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

OK, I apologize but I must get some sleep before I leave for work.

Enjoy the rest of your night everyone!

Speak to you in a few hours...

karen,

how was your trip to WDW with your mom?

It was good, if a bit frustrating. We got my mom a scooter from an offsite place. There's _no_ way she could do WDW without one. She can barely walk without falling down, never mind tour WDW. And even with the scooter we had to take frequent breaks. When she was on foot, she would usually hold my hand or my arm to steady herself.

Here's a PSA: I know that Scooter People can be frustrating. Those things take up a lot of space and they tend to stop and go. Well, folks, I know mom had to stop and go VERY frequently because people will just step right in front of her. She's trying not to injure someone by running into their ankles and these things don't stop on a dime!

I had to physically stop several parents from pushing their strollers, containing small children, into the space between the scooter and the person walking in front of her. I got lots of, "Oh, I didn't see her there". Really? The old lady in the brightly colored paint splattered Mickey hat, riding the fire engine RED scooter? Ok, well, now you see her, please don't put your kid in the way of the moving vehicle. Seriously, it's like pushing them in front of a moving car!

The Filet from The Eiffel Tower that Deb said was better than La Celliar's

Scooter issues aside (including the first scooter with a broken needle that always showed the thing about to die that was exchanged for a scooter who's wheel FELL OFF in the queue for the Backlot Tour the next day), we had a good time. Lots of good food and mostly restful touring. I almost had her on Test Track, but the ride went down as soon as we left the preshow room. We stood there so long she almost passed out, so we made our way out through one of the chicken exits backstage.
