Hi Darcy - glad you enjoyed your camping trip despite those pesky raccoons!! DH would love for us to go camping but I just don't know if I am really a "roughing it" kind of girl. We are planning to visit Colorado (he wants to go to Estes Park) but we are staying in at least a cabin

Amanda 01 - glad to see you around! Hope you had a great time in TN. I agree the heat has been brutal although July in Texas is never anything but steaming hot!

Texas heat can be awful! I grew up in TX and that is at the top of my "things I don't miss" list!

Hey everyone!
Another busy week for us as well as all of you I am sure! We spent the day yesterday at Put-In-Bay our little local island in Lake Erie. Beautiful low 80's, nice breeze from the lake-Great time with my family! We now start the countdown until Universal. I haven't been that excited for this trip as it originally replaced my Disney Cruise, but the more people I talk to the more excited I get! My parents are in Florida but not in the house yet, some last minute unexpected delays has kept them in a hotel since Monday! My mom is a tad bit ANXIOUS! I keep trying to calm her but telling here we'll be down there to help her in a couple of weeks. we now are staying from friday till tuesday at their house after 5 days at Universal. Now I am getting excited!
I hope everyone else is doing well-post when you can!

hi everyone we are home safe and sound! We drove straight thru from Colorado Springs to Biloxi (24 hrs!!!wowza,where my brother met us to pick up his DD and head back to Destin) Then we left Biloxi this afternoon and are home safely!

Thanks Dinny! One word the trip was LONG! LOL Things between my mother and I could have been better, but they could have been way worse too! So all in all, not to bad. And in all actuality the kids were much better behaved than they could have been. I mean being stuck a car for 2 days is trying even on adults much less children! Now I have a bout a month to get ready for my DDs bday trip to WDW and then 2 weeks after that DH and I will be headed back in that direction for our cruise on the Wonder ! My son Max will be 6 on the 7th of this month also, and 2mrrw we have verification day for school. My kids are supposed to start on the 8th but their school in having construction delays, and they will not start until the 22nd! Sounds good right? Except they will have to do 6 days of Sat school for makeup time and 4 in service days! Sigh so there goes my nice long weekends trips to WDW!

I, um, ahem, haven't posted since April. Am I forgiven? I have dutifully read through the previous posts, though. (Survivor, MAW, Colorado, Tennessee, etc. - See??)

Sooooo much craziness here! I worked 58 days straight without a day off - the joys of being self-employed. The possibility of relocating to another state due to my husband's job. A car accident (not our fault/no one seriously injured) that has left us with only one vehicle since June 29th (!), and no end in sight with that mess. Ack!

Anywho, I see that Darcy is gathering more information. Did we ever make it onto your list? Here are the basics:

Sailing : Curt and Karen (my husband and myself)
Cabin : Cat. 9 #2570 (we're cheap)
Dining : Late

Sorry that I've been away for so long. Sometimes, keeping up with these boards is like another job! (Albeit a fun job...)

Jenna (DD) is in Cinderella this Saturday at the local theatre-she plays Suzy the mouse (..leave the sewin' to the women and you go get some trimmin'.. (feel free to sing to the music of Cinderelly)). It should be a very cute production-they do it all in one week!
How is everyone else doing? Amanda have you recovered from your trip yet?
We are so excited for next Saturday! Harvey better stay out in the Atlantic or I am gonna go insane if we get another hurricane!

Amanda - sorry your trip was so long but glad it turned out alright as a whole. It is good to have you back!

Karen - welcome back! We are always happy to have another poster with us - even after a bit of a break. Sorry to hear about your busy and oh-so-eventful summer. Hopefully things will straighten themselves out and you'll have a more normal schedule (so you can come chat with us!!).

Amanda01 - love the door signs you posted on the door sign thread. Great work!! I have been putting ideas together but havne't printed anything out yet.

Darcy - tell your dd to "break a leg" and hope she enjoys her performances. I know you must be so very proud!

We have been busy too. I spent two days at my dd's new school doing "classical educator's training" so that I will be prepared for my part of her education this year (she will be attending a private Christian school where she goes to school 2 days a week and we "home-educate"/homeschool on two days). It was very enlightening and inspiring and I am even more excited about the school now.

We are headed to a Wiggles concert this afternoon. The kids are quite excited - they love the concerts (we have seen them 3 times in the past) and it should be a fun family outing.

aw man, you little pirate you! I did not eve notice it was time for a TOP. So I read the news about the Wonder last night taking an 11 day trip the same week as us. I so wish I could afford it, but I am already doing 2 cruises in 06. I wonder if we will lose anyone from this cruise? Is everyone still in, or has anyone changed to the Wonder special?
And Rhonda, I am still not recovered from my trip. I have yet to unpack. I did take all our dirty laundry out, but the clean stuff is still in suitcases! EEK I know I am bad, but I went straight from vacation back to work, and it has been BUSY at work!

I got a call from All Seasons regarding the new Wonder schedule and although tempting, as I am sure I will never get on the wonder-there is no way we can go for that long and the prices are ridiculous! I hope we don't lose anyone-but it would be a great experience!

Jenna's Cinderella play went very well-they were all too cute in there costumes. I absolutely love the kid's theatre! They are so very proud of their work! The fact that they started on Monday and did two shows on Saturday is amazing.

Well, the kids are quiet (I have 3 girls sleeping over) so that means I better go check on them! LOL

Busy day for us today..It is my DS #3's bday he is 6! Boy time flies when you start having kids! So we will celebrate with him, and then my DD (8) and I are off to see Hilary Duff in concert tonight.......has anyone been? If so how was it?

Sorry I haven't been around much - seems like the pace picked up around here with getting ready to start school etc. I can't believe my dd starts kindergarten in only 8 days - I think I will be crying alot that day!!

I briefly looked at the new Wonder itineraries. They proved, however, to be too expensive in relation to our cruise and dh wasn't really that interested. They sound like great cruises though and cruising on the Wonder would have been nice - I doubt we'll ever do a short cruise so something like that would likely be our only chance. So, we are staying put with our Double Dip buddies!

Hilary Duff? OMG my DD would go nuts if I took her! She absolutley adores Hilary-but we are all hoping she stays on the straight and narrow and doesn't take the awful turns that Lindsey and Britney have! I did notice she has lost quite a bit of weight and had veneers done on her teeth! I almost didn't recognize her! She is such a pretty thing and wholesome image I sure hope you remains such a positive role model-although Raven is my hero! Hope you have fun! To answer your ? we are staying on site at The RPR, FOTL access was definitley what sold me!

My kids were supposed to start school 2mrrw, but their school will not be done with the construction. So every1 else in the county is starting 2mrrw, and my kids wont start until the 22nd.In order to make up those lost days, my kids will have to go to Sat school for 6 days and do 4 in service days. I was laughung and laughing at them, until my friend pointed out that *someone* was going to have to get them up and ready for school on those days...eeek! LOL

Our tickets do not say no cameras, only no video cameras, so I would think we will be allowed to take pics. If so, I will send you some and post them here on the thread! We are leaving here shortly. QUite honestly, I was not going to take her, becasue tix started at 37.50, but then she kept asking me about it, and I decided, oh well what the hey. So she will be attending her 1st ever concert this evening. I remember when I was younger and the New Kids on The Block came out, I wanted so badly for my mom to take me to a concert and she would not.
