What I said was look at all my previous posts that no one has replied to! Noboday loves me! I can only carry on a conversation with myelf for so long ya know! LOL We are headed to my brothers for the 3 day weekend again....gonna hang on the beach....

Sorry I missed your earlier post about going to your brother's this weekend Where does he live? The beach sounds nice but we are many hours from a beach so the pool will have to do. Any plans to go see fireworks? I'd like to take the kids but they don't start here until around 10 p.m. and the kids are way sacked out by then plus with temperatures around 100 this weekend (and lows in the 80's) it would be pretty warm anyway. Maybe in another year or two we can do fireworks but for now we'll have to wait for Disney trips to experience them!

The kids are clamoring for food so I guess I ought to feed them! I'll check in here later and see if anyone else has stopped by!

Okay ... I had to share this news ... I am so excited!!

My daughter (now 12) is an ambassador for MakeAWish. She was diagnosed with ALL Luekemia in July 2001 and we celebrated her end of treatment with our 1st Disney Cruise (4day Wonder) in February 2004. She remains in remission and is doing well. Her "wish" was to go to Space Camp and she speaks regularly about her wish and for MAW when they ask her (and she is really shy so this is not easy for her, but we want to support MAW whenever we can).

Why am I telling you this you may ask?

Well ... yesterday we were invited to represent MAW Orange County at the "Evening of Magic" onboard DCL on July 16th!! We cannot believe we will be able to have a "taste" of cruising for an evening (which is why there is no sailing on the 16th and a 6day cruise that week) for a Gala fundraising event. Only you all will understand just how cool this is ... as we are in serious withdrawals since the 14day repo.

We will have special MAW credentials and DD will wear a large button/pin saying "ask me about my wish". She will be escorted wherever she wants to go that evening by a CM (similar to those that walk with the characters). The "honorary cruise directors" include Jim Belushi, Johnny Depp , Raven and a couple dozen more celebrities. It sounds like everything onboard will be open and operating ... clubs, restaurants, theatre ... and we can just roam around and enjoy whatever we like.

I just had to share this exciting news as I am about to explode!!

Karen - what fantastic news! You all must be so excited and proud of Tiffany as well. I had heard about the MAW event on 7/16 and thought it sounded like such a great event. What a wonderful experience you all will have. Make sure you take lots of pictures so we can all share in the fun afterwards!

On a not-nearly-so exciting note I am going to see Disney's musical "On the Record" today. It hasn't gotten great reviews but I will be glad to see it anyway.

I am so sorry for messing up your dds names - I went back and fixed it - I would hate for Tiffany to feel slighted at all if she happened to see it Once again, that is such a wonderful thing to happen and I hope it is truly a magical experience for you all!

"On the Record" was okay - not great and not bad. If it hadn't been Disney music I would have left at intermission but we stayed and enjoyed the music. The music was good and the performances were good but the show was just boring - only 1 backdrop/set, very little dancing, almost no plot at all. I was a bit disappointed but the combination of going out without the kids and listening to Disney music still made it an enjoyable venture overall!

Amanda & Amanda - how will we keep you two straight? Guess we'll need to assign nicknames - any suggestions?

It is dinner time yet again so I guess I'd better get my group fed. Hope everyone has a great evening - I'll check back tonight to see if anyone else has been chatting.
