Okay what is everyone's take on the passport thing? Are we really going to have to go and get passports? what if we don't get off the ship? do we need them to return to the US? another $400+ was not in our budget!

Dizneprincess Amanda is not here (she's at WDW w/ her kids) and she'll just die knowing I posted on this thread w/o her being here.

I've got DCL fever real bad all. I'd love to go to CC 2Xs. I CAN'T FIND ANY QUOTES for this cruise! We're a family of 5. Me, DH, DD-5, DS-3, and DD-2 (current ages). So, w/o getting a TA's quote, what do you think we could get away paying with?

Is your guys' cruise still a four day? I tried using DCL's website and either I'm a computer dummy or I'm not clicking the right buttons.

2 adjoining cat 10 (window) will run about $4000.00 (allseas.com)

this is a 7 day cruise

you have to do 2 rooms or a family suite.....this option is the cheapest you could go and have your rooms be adjoining (I figure your kids are small so you need joiners right?)

A Big Hello to all of our (soon to be) new DIS sailing friends!! I am Karen, my hubby is Dave. We live just down the road from Disneyland. Our family just got off the 14day Westbound cruise and we are all suffering major cruise withdrawal.

DH and I booked onboard for this wonderful Double Dip cruise. We will be celebrating our 15yr wedding anniversary and will be sailing without our children (11,12,13 at time of sailing). I am a bit freaked out thinking about it, but Grandma/Grandpa will show them the time of their life for a week in the Colorado mountains, so they are excited about the opportunity. They are already asking about a 2007 cruise!!

I would love to get to know other DISers before we set sail. I am up for helping to schedule an event or two if there is any interest (sailaway, scavenger hunt, door tag, scrapbooking, winetasting, room tours). We also loved all the gifts that were exchanged (lanyards, fish extenders, bubbles, keychains, pins, patches) on the 14day. If this sounds fun to any of you, I would love to participate in a group swap.

I notice this is not a very active thread (yet) and I do realize we are talking about a cruise that is more than a year away, but I need something to look forward to as I truly am having some serious withdrawals.

Hi Karen! Welcome aboard our thread. You mentioned that you live just down the road from Disneyland. Does that mean that you live in CA or did you mean Disney Worl in Florida? My husband and I are sailing this cruise with our twin sons, age 7. They will actually be 8 the time of the cruise. I really loved CC and was so disappointed when the day was over. We couldn't pass up two full days there. I would be interested in your swap if you want to get something going. I love to scrapbook!

We live in southern California. Two stops at Castaway Cay sound so fun!! We have never even seen the adult beach as we have spent all of our time at CC for the past two cruises with the children (biking, snorkeling, floating, eating, etc.), except for the Eco Tour. We did that one alone and really loved it!! It will be nice to try the other end of the island.

I am the unofficial name keeper of this cruise and I have added you and your husband to our every growing list! we have 14 so far-not bad considering it is still along way off! I am up for anything fun and exciting so anything you want to get going let me know! this is our second cruise-the first was a shortened Hurricane Jeanne cruise! it will be me and my husband Tony and our twins Jacob and Jenna-they will be 11 at the time. But crusing with no kids...sounds relaxing!

Hey guys-I had to get my passport anyways-know why??? I applied to be on SURVIVOR! I'll know if I made it to final 800 in August-then from there to LA for the final cut-wish me luck (the hardest part will be being away from my babies for soo long-but they are excited for me too!) awfully slow around here without dzneprincess!

Hi everyone! I am back home! We had a wonderful time, only we didnt get in unitl late last night and I had to work first thing this morning! That does not leave much time fore DISing! Taeja, I hope you can convince your DH that you all need this cruise!
Karen welcome aboard, only I am really really jealous of you having been on the repo cruise! Rasberries to you! More than likely our kids will not be joining us on this cruise either. Only we currently have them all booked just in case. But if they do not come than you can commierate (yeah right! ) with me about ceing child free for 7 whole blissful days!!

I agree with you about keeping the thread active but no one seems to post! Except me! LOL

Hello all

I am so happy to have some friends already for our next cruise.

I have still not fully unpacked from our repo ('cuz it makes me too sad to put everything away) so this this thread is helping me "make it thru the day" ... okay plus I am a little bit lazy

I was asked today if I had lost weight ... this after gaining weight on our cruise last month. I just said that I was trying and thanks for noticing ... that was good for a laugh.

I am hoping some talented individual can make up a design for t-shirts that can be scanned (from what I understand) and sent to zazzle.com or cafepress.com. Then anyone that wants to purchase something (t-shirt, tank top, sweatshirt, totebag) can order directly. It doesn't seem to difficult, but definitely not my area of expertise.

I would love to coordinate (at the very least) a sailaway meet, a door tag game and a gift exchange either at the sailaway or ongoing thru the voyage. These are the most fun for our family ... and they do not take much effort.

I wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. We just booked this cruise this morning and I immediately came to see if there was already a cruise meet thread - and here you all are!!

We are so excited to be going on another cruise

We last cruised in May 2001 on the Magic (Eastern route). So it has been far too long without a cruise fix. Our group consists of me, dh, dd5 (current age), ds2 (current age). We reserved connecting category 8 rooms (still waiting to hear which ones exactly) so dh and I could have some privacy - yay! We got a FANTASTIC price through DU (saved us $800 from DCL's prices) and the service has been great so far as well. The only negative is that we had to be waitlisted for early dinner seating but since we have so long until the cruise I am hopeful that we will be switched by cruise time.

We had a fabulous group on our last cruise and it looks like this group is shaping up very well also. We didn't do a lot of activities together but we did link our seating for quite a few families so we were seated near each other and several of us had tea together etc. I would love to work on putting some activities etc. together with anyone else willling to do the same. My dh is quite artistic and very good with computer graphics - I will ask him if he is interested in doing a logo for us. Can anyone give me an idea of what others have done so I know the size etc. that we need?

Well, need to get the baby out of bed and finish getting ready for the day. I'll check back in later though and see what is going on with all my new cruise buddies!!
