My all time Favorite Disney Princess is Amanda, then Princess Aurora is a close second. But only in the blue dress! It makes me crazy that they put her in a pink dress to differentiate between Cindy. Ugh pink! Call me Merryweather!

Is it fridays yet? I don't want to go to work today! Oregon needs rain in a bad way, it's too dry here. I woke up with yet another headache becasue of the dry air! I am so ready for the humidity of FL! Oh and I get to take Eric to Cracker Barrel, he's never been to one! I LOVE CB!

OMG me too! I am taking Cindy (PurpleTart) to Cracker Barrel in Winter Park on Friday morning! She's on a low carb diet Ha Ha Ha wait 'till she sees their food! She'll hate me, but oh well, it's just a pre-cursor to the remainder of the week. I can't wait for this food...I mean this cruise!

How old is Mekayla? I think I remember you saying she is 9. My DD will be 9 in November and, while after school is not an issue for us, she has been asking to stay at home alone on weekends when I run to the office for an hour or two to finish things up. She is a very responsible child. She knows the rules and follows them even when I'm not around (except for when she is at her Dads where there are no rules at all). She isn't afraid to be alone, and in fact gets angry because I won't agree to let her stay. I have thought about it, but haven't been to do it yet. My office is no more than a mile away and she knows the number. What do you guys think?

WOw you guys are lucky. Here in GA they have to be 12 yrs old to be alone at home. CJ has been asking me to stay home since he too was about 9, and I have been telling him 12, 12 , 12...well that happens next July...guess who hasnt forgotton...I will deal with it when it hits me, but he too is a very responsible child so I am thinking it will not be a problem....Gail I think you should trust your gut...if your gut is telling you it will be okay, I say try it on a trial basis with specific ground rules.Based on what you have said I think everything will be fine...and you will find that I am not one of those "look down my nose at your personal decision" tpyes....you know the ones right? The ones who would "NEVER" leave little JOhnny at home alone because of all the evil in the world...oh and by the way little JOHNNY is 18! LOL Can you tell those types irritate me??? HEHE

Wow! I am all caught up on the thread. 168 hours to go and I'll be flying to Florida! I can't wait. So, we're debating between Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon for after the cruise. We only have time to do one...which would you choose?

We have Schwanns. Eric grew up eating the Rocky road ice cream and now believes it to be the only RR ice cream that should be in our freezer!

The RR ice cream is one of my favorites to. We had the Oriental Boneless Chicken Wings for dinner tonight. DD loves them.

Again ~ no flames from anyone... I am not trying to be stupid... but why would you need her absences excused? .

Here in GA we have to sign something at the beginning of the year, that at 5 absences a parent can be jailed and fined up to $100....I think it is stupid....Out me in jail for taking qualoty time with my kids? phooey....They are aloowed 10 absences all year no matter excused or unexcused..but one you rac hthat magic number 5 you get a visit from social worker...my kids missed 4 last week...

O.K. I have gone "crack happy" on the DIS boards...

I have the LG8100 phone from Verizon...supposedly it plays music. There's a sandisk slot and I have a 1mb card in there but I mostly use that for pictures! Mekayla thinks taking pictures with my cell phone is all the rage (Seashells ~ there are pictures of the tattoo guy doing my face on my phone... I'll show ya' at MNSSHP!) Anyways, I called the local Verizon store and they said I could come in and upload the software (I bought the phone off ebay when it was brand new) and then get their usb cable and music package and my phone will act as a portable mp3 player. We'll see...it seems too good to be true. But heck that would save me $180.00!!!! So I am going to check it out tonight after all the other stuff we have to do. I'll let you guys know how that turns out! {yeah like you're dying to know}

Is anyone doing the Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel and who's doing the entertainment seminars? Also Martini, Margarita, wine and beer tasting is on the agenda for us... anyone else?

I definitely want in on the various alcohol tasting events.......

A few more posts and then I'll quit for a while ~ I just read that DCL is planning on updating their beddig and bathroom goodies! Nice new bedding would be good, not to mention better shampoo...that minnie stuff is scary! Cute packaging, but crappy shampoo!

I saw that over at circles I am glad too EXCEPT for the lotion I love the minnie lotion...GOod thing I have a drawer full and hopefully the switch will not be done beofre our cruise so I can stock up even more! If anyone does not use their lotion, please please set them aside every day and night (2 sets of 2 every day) and I will come and get them!

packing your own snorkel gear, or renting? We have fins and all but it's cumbersome to pack and after looking at my piles, something's gotta' give.

There's a thread asking where the ships went due to Ernesto...apparently the 7 night Magic guests were given the option to cancel their cruise because it changed from a 'Western" to an "Eastern" could you imagine? I would laugh in the face of the CM who suggested I cancel because we aren't going to where I thought we were going (yes, even if we didn't get to go to Castaway Cay) but I would pout and stomp around a bit if we didn't get to go to Castaway Cay No one's doing a "live" thread on the Magic right now, so we'll have to wait until they get back to see where they ended up going. That kinda' sucks... I like live threads.

Ohh I hope they got nice discount coupons for a future cruise..I would be all over that !!

When you're at WDW you can have stuff you buy mailed from the resorts (for a fee) does anyone know if you can have DCL mail stuff you buy in Treasure Ketch? I don't want to figure out how to pack souvies...we're at max. capacity as it is just going down there.

I think if you open the alcohol, you have to drink it all. If the seal is broken you can't bring it through customs. If you need help finishing up your open bottles, call me. I think I'm in 6552. You'll know it by the cruddy door signs.

In our school district, any child with 7 unexcused absences is charge with truancy and has to appear in Family Court. The child gets probation and has to report periodically to the Court to show following orders of the Court and the parent gets a nice little fine. A lot of school districts have this rule. There is a thread on this board where families post the letters they have sumbitted in the past.

Sucks huh? I think it is a shame to punish ALL for the actions of some....these laws. I think were set up for the parents who just dont give a rats ***...but those of us who just want time with our kids are also punished......
