I am so jealous of all of you who are working on getting natural tans. I have no time to, or place, to work on a tan. I have neighbors on every side of me. I can't lay out without half of the neighborhood seeing me. I have visited the tanning beds the last two nights. Hopefully, I have a nice tan by the end of next week. I just think that a tan looks so much better when you get it naturally from the sun. The tanning beds turn you a different color.

Gail we are parking at the port. So we will be there early also. The day we get back we have to be out of there quickly to get to a football game in Tallahasse. I don't like talking about getting off the ship before we even get on.........[/QUOTE]

I thought about parking at the port because we are hoping to be among the very first to get off the ship also. We will be driving back home on Saturday and I want to get on the road as soon as possible. The Radisson assured me that they will have a shuttle sitting at the port when the guest begin debarkation. I decided saving the $100.00 by not parking at the port is worth adding an extra 30 minutes or so to my departure time. I'll probably regret it and the for next cruise, I'll be parked right next to you at the port.

Good morning and "Happy Labor Day". Does anyone actually celebrate Labor Day? We have never done anything to celebrate it. I'm even going to go into the office for a few hours after while. I figure it will give me a chance to get a few things done with no clients or phones to interrupt me. I do have one client coming in to sign some paperwork at 11:00. So those of you who really do have the day off, I hope you enjoy it!

Gail, I usually have to go to the tanning bed before our cruises too. I just need enough color on me so that I don't scare anyone into thinking I am a ghost! And my natural skin tends to burn easily at first, so I usually try to get a little tan before, so I don't look like a lobster on vacation. This year, we put a pool in at our house, so I've maintained some tan all summer, so I won't need the tanning bed this year. I've noticed that tanning beds turn me a different color too, and you don't seem to get tan on the tops of your shoulders, like you would from, say, spending the day at Castaway Cay!

Happy labor day to all, I am working too to get things done before we leave. Every one else is off so I should get a lot done.

Judy, we have solar heat on the pool, so we almost use it year round. Usually in Jan or Feb it's too cold. If it gets below freezing we have to run the solar at night to keep the pipes from cracking. So then it loses all its heat.
I have two shades of tan, one tan one pink hopefully by next week it won't look as funny.

Have a great day.

I am hoping for the day off. My boss (real estate agent) is in Curacao scuba diving, so my job is to babysit her phone, and take care of things that come up. So here's hoping that the phone does not ring much today!

We don't really celebrate either. I plan to spend the day cleaning house and making lists for the cruise. And of course, checking the DisBoards every 5 minutes! :surfweb:

Hey now I am willing to bet you live alot closer than my 3,051.87 miles to the Magic Kingdom! :teeth: You gotta let a girl brag a little! :rotfl:

I hope everyone has a great labor day! I have been putting off finishing our packing. But last night I had another dream that we got to the resort and realized that I forgot to pack at all. So I am determined to finish it today. Our only problem is that we are both over packers. We always bring way too much stuff. But for a two week trip how can we not over pack! :teeth:

Jeff, where in NY? I grew up in the Bronx and then we moved to Westchester when I was 14.

Yes i am worried about #6. I live in Florida. I did post that i thought i had insurance but don't. Is it to late to get it?

I am not too sure if it is too late. We got our trip insurance through American Express. it is a very minimal fee...we paid 150 dollars and it covers any medical concerns and trip insurance if we miss a port.

I live in FL too and we are going to board up before we leave on vacation. Man it should be very interesting. Let's ask tink to help move that storm so it will not affect us!!
:tink:

We got ours through USAA. We also live in FL. Lets hope it stays out to sea.

They will mail you the information or email it to you. The company was recommened from our travel agent whom I trust completely.

Anyone worried about Tropical Depression #6???

Yes, I'm worried. I do not want to miss either CC day, it's what this cruise is all about. I could miss Cozumel and Costa Maya, and I would be disappointed for about a minute. But we have to get to CC!

Then there is the worry about it hitting SC while we are gone, and having problems at my house. Not that I could stop it from hitting my house if I were there.

I know, I'm just being a big baby  .

Joanne, I wish we had put in a solar heat panels instead of a propane gas heater. My DH was the one that wanted the heater, but I figured we would heat it a few times the first year, and then he would declare it was "too expensive" to heat. It uses 4 gallons of propane and hour, and raises the temp 1 - 2 degrees an hour. So I know we won't be heating the pool in November!

for including us on your list. You have us listed as jjgary instead of jjgarv.....

Less than 12 sleeps! :cool1:
