Well, it's time to jump in the shower and start getting ready for church. I'll check in later to see whos been chatting.

Do any of the staff stay on the island? I had read somewhere about how bad the bugs are on the island in the evening. I would think that they would have to leave someone on there over night to clean up the island and get it ready for the next group of cruisers. Besides, I would think that there would be security conserns. Can you imagine sailing around out in the ocean and running up on Castaway Cay on a day when no ship is docked and going ashore and having that Island all to yourself?

I dont know how bad the bugs are at night (lol) but they DO have staff that live on the Island... Not alot of Cast members and the people for excursions come from surrounding Islands and arive when we do.When we leave so do the Islanders.... They should Build a DVC hotel on the Island But thats my opinion....LOL

Im flying with them on the 13th and then back home on the 23rd....

How do I keep posted on this? CNN website?

They were going to do this thing called "CHAOS" were they flight attendants would not show up for certain flights on certain days. They day they were going to start doing this (about a week ago) a judge issued an injuction saying they couldn't do this or a full fledged strike until he could review the situation but I think they are going to be able to eventually. Northwest has said that this will not affect any flights because they will have supervisors filling in for the flight attendants. The flight attendants union have said you can go to their website (not sure exactly what it is) and sign up their and they will send you an email if your flight would be affected. I'm sure that they will not let you know till that day which is too late then. Hopefully this all won't happen.

I agree! Surely they can lick the bug problem (OK, that sounded gross). An all inclusive resort where we could play on that beach all day! Maybe add a water park on the other side of the island. And lots of different restaurants. It could be like a stationary cruise ship!!

When I think of the bugs there at night all I can think of is that commercial a few years back where the couple is making travel plans on the computer through expedia and the hotel lists bugs netting. Then they show her and her DH surrounded by bugs and the netting falls!

Ok now is it just the women in my family or do other women do this. I can't leave on vacation unless my house is spotless. I know I get it from my mother and grandmother and it drives me insane! I will spend the next 5 days cleaning! Maybe that's why I enjoy vacation so much, NO CLEANING!!!!!! But inbeween cleaning today I am offically packing! I'm not sure if you can tell but I am a starting to get a little excited!!

I try to do this...I want to do this...but in reality, I am usually flying out the door with stuff left all over the house. I do manage to take out the trash and run the dishwasher (forgot once, EEWWWW that smell!)

But when I have managed to do this, it is so wonderful coming home to a clean house!

I also like a clean house when I come home. I just cleaned the kitchen. Since I am going to have to work most of next week end I am trying to do most of it today. I have already baked cookies to go back to college today. The upstairs was done last week end. So maybe by next week end this house will be ready.

For the packing, most of my clothes are packed. I just have the every day stuff to pack. The dress clothes are back from the cleaners and in the garment bag.

I printed that ultimate packing list and just checked what we needed. My DH has not even started his suitcase. He will have all next week end to himself.

Have a happy Sunday. We are cooking out today with the neighbors before the youngest heads back to FSU, He is off tomorrow but the big FSU Miami game is tomorrow and he wants to be there so he can do homework in the morning and go to a party Monday night to watch it on TV. Oh to be young and in college again..........................

Ok now is it just the women in my family or do other women do this. I can't leave on vacation unless my house is spotless. I know I get it from my mother and grandmother and it drives me insane! I will spend the next 5 days cleaning! Maybe that's why I enjoy vacation so much, NO CLEANING!!!!!! But inbeween cleaning today I am offically packing! I'm not sure if you can tell but I am a starting to get a little excited!!

Oh not me! I have the cleaning thing figured out. I have hired a lady to come in while I am gone and clean. I am really clean. She is going to do my hardwood floors, clean my furniture the garage and everything. She even does my windows, which I hate because I have so many of them and the family room goes up both floors and there is a huge window about 15 feet high. There are also two ceiling fans that hang from the middle of that room and collect dust so bad. It will all be clean when I get home. This lady is wonderful. She has done this for me several times, and I have never been disappointed.

Well, I have to get out the door, or we will be late for church. DD woke up and said she isn't feeling well, so we skipped Sunday School today, but I am making her go to Sunday Service.

We will be at the Residence Inn. We are thinking of dinner at Grills then maybe a drink by the pool. I do want to make a trip to Ron Jon's. Maybe we could meet at the pool for after dinner or something? I think they are with in walking distance.

Gail, that is a great idea. I think I will call mini maids Monday morning and set something up while I am gone. My neighbor can let them in.

Were there and interested in a meet. Not sure where to meet inside the park as it is likely to be pretty crowded and kids will probably want to just collect candy.

We could just pick a place to get a group costume picture.

Judy- dh is on permanent get ready to be mobilized because of his rate (he's Navy Reserve). Can you share your husband's MOS? It would be better to be mobilized to DC than the other places dh's unit has gone.

The pool is where we were planning to be. We are driving down on the 15th, so it will be dinner time or a little later before we even arrive. I am packing a separate bag for Friday night and Saturday morning so that we do not have to get into our bags for the cruise, so settling in the room will take no time at all. I told DD that we would get something to eat on the way in and just spend the evening at the pool. I don't swim. I almost drowned when I was little and now I just don't like the water. DD loves the water though. Anyway, we will be there and look forward to meeting you.

Anyone else who will be at the Radisson, please come and join us.

Oh, I used to be the same way until I got divorced. Then I found myself with twice as much work to do and because I was having to do all the running with my DD instead of having my husband to help, I had half as much time to clean in. I started hiring my neice to help with the weekly stuff like dusting and organizing. Then when DD got older and starting the soccer, cheerleading and basketball, I just couldn't do any more. I had no choice but to hire someone. I asked around, and the lady that I use has cleaned for a lot of people that know for years and everyone highly recommended her. She is a single mother who raised two fine boys by herself by working a full time job and cleaning in the evenings and weekends. I have used her for about three years now, and don't know what I would do without her. She doesn't come all the time. I take care of the day to day stuff. She comes about every two weeks and helps me catch up what I've let go. Then we try to do this heavy duty cleaning every three months or so. It probably needs it more often but she takes care of her regular families first and schedules me around them. I wasn't real comfortable with it at first, but when I seen how much cleaner my house was staying with her help, I got over it quickly. She cleans places that I don't think I had ever touched, like the tops of door facings and the top of the refrigerator. To me, I couldn't see it, I didn't need to clean it.

Amanda, after church I drove through the P.O. and dropped the money for our bracelets back in. I had completely forgotten to do this after it was returned the other day. I am surprised that they returned the last one. I had the address correct. I just don't have the best handwriting in the world and Greenbud looked more like Grunbad. It was marked as insufficient address. Go figure. Anyway, when you receive it let me know. I feel so bad that I haven't put it back in the mail before now.
