In case I miss ya Welcome Sirena  . Let's see if I can help at all.

- Formal night: What does this night entail? Just dressing up for dinner? Guys must wear tux or are suits OK? How about kids?

You don't really have to dress formal, it's strictly optional. But yes, the men can wear a tux or a suits. My DH is wearing a suit. And the ladies can wear anything from a nice dress to a formal gown. It's really a matter of personal preference I don't know about the kids, perhaps someone else can answer that one.

- Ports of Call: Why was someone asking if we would make it to Cozumel? Has there been any announcements about changes of ports?

Cozumel suffered alot of damage from last season's hurricanes and might not be on Disney's stops. It hasn't been so far this year.

- DISers Meet: Is there a time/date/place scheduled for the meet?

I would like to know this my self!

Hope that helps some!

So what would that mean for this cruise? :confused3 Instead of stopping at Cozumel, we would spend two days in Costa Maya?

We will have to wait until the May Double dip to see what happens - I really doubt we would do Costa Maya twice.

No idea. Perhaps another day at sea or a different port. But for now it's just waiting game.

After seeing the DCL Med Prices I am sooooooo happy I have this cruise!!! :rotfl:

It is not that serious!!! :rotfl2: We will go to Europe when my boys are older.

Welcome to all our new shipmates!

I just spoke to a co-worker that went on RCL last week. He said they went to Cozy and it still looks pretty bad. They tendered because all the piers are gone. He said the first pier is scheduled to open November.
They did an exc. to a private island but he said all the vegetation was washed away there also.

Will DCL tender to Cozy?

I hope they pick somewhere nice if we cant go to Cozy. Maybe a Triple Scoop! :rotfl2:

Just peaking in to keep the e-mail notifications on. Cozumel's out for our trip (I know it's not new news, but I'll stop researching excursions there) so, do you think they'll let us know ahead of time (90 days out or more) what the new itinerary is? I wanna' plan Palo and spa stuff. I am getting ready to pay off the cruise and I have seen on other threads that you can send money to your account.....anyone done this before or know how it works? I know the wise thing to do is put any extra $$$$ in an interest bearing account, but the further away I am from it, the less likely I'll be to spend it.... :teeth: The onboard stateroom credit fairy smiled upon me; the TA I booked through gifted us another $50.00 on top of the original $50.00. :wizard: In true daughter fashion, my DD asked if that meant she gets $50.00 to spend as she wishes?!?! :rotfl: I told her the increase in her allowance we started in January when I booked the trip was compensation enough. :lmao: Poor kid. I can't believe we're only 6 months out! :cloud9:

WldWcn dont count on advance notice we are about 66 days out from the 1st double dip and we have been told nothing yet

I'm right there with ya. I am gonna wait until about June or July to buy a dress, unless I find a super buy.

I'm all talk and no action. It's Wednesday, and I haven't made the first lap around that gym. I may just forget the sexy dresses and bathing suits and just make this cruise all about seeing how much food I have force down in seven days and how many delicious mixed drinks I can wash it all down with. Would anyone like to join me?

Sign me up. I can't wait for giant shrimp and a frozen anything. I have been exercising like crazy and nothing helps. But I am determined to be a little thinner before Sept. I wish all of us dieters luck.

Welcome to all the new cruisers!

Amanda- my daughter's headaches are worse than mine. After my second pregnancy they got much less frequent, but still very bad when I get them.

Gail- I'm with you on forgetting the sexy dresses and eating a lot on the cruise. :cool1: I lost about 15 pounds on South Beach before our last cruise (10/04) gained all of it back, and I'm trying to lose it again with no luck,

I saw the prices and ports for the Med. cruise. I don't think I'd do that one, even if I had the money (maybe the repo). When we get back to Europe we have a list of historical sites we want to see- and a lot of them are quite far in-land so no cruise for us. We're not going anytime soon, because after our trip to China we're all adventured out. We'll do easy Disney trips with the kids for a while- though next year dh and I are headed to Kazakhstan or Guatemala for another adoption.

Where are all you guys staying the night before? I am torn between one night in Orlando or at the port.

My sister in law and her husband have decided to join us. This will be their first cruise. They are from Quebec, Canada. They are flying in the day before and we will pick them up at the Orlando airport.

We'll probably drive up after work/school on Friday and right to the port for the night. We've stayed at the Radisson several times and have enjoyed it (whirlpool suites make a nice start to the vacation!). Saturday morning can be a bit more leisurely that way instead of having to start with a 1 hour drive. On our 1st 7 day cruise, we stayed at the Contemporary before and after and took a limo to the port Saturday morning. Nice thing about a limo over DCL transportation is that they work on your schedule, not theirs.

Well I am happy to report that the meds are working, sort of. My headaches are starting to ease up, and I have noticed my appitite has definately decreased. But I am gonna eat like I am on death row on the ship! :yay: And shrimp and frozen drinks are at the top of my list as well! :thumbsup2 We are gonna stay on site at Disney before the cruise. We only go to WDW every other year so we have to get in our fix before hand.

We're going to spend a few days at Beach Club Villas pre-cruise. It'll be Madalyn's first trip to Disney, and we have no idea how she'll react. The big kids wanted to take her to Hong Kong Disney on the way home, but that was impossible.

Then I am not alone - I decided to cancel my gym membership since I am not going at all. I have a treadmill in my living room since I complained to my DH that I couldn't use it in the garage b/c it was too hot in there. Now I look at it every day and swear I will start tomorrow. :rotfl2:

Let's not give up yet (the optimist in me talking). We still have 5+ months. April will be the "new year" so let's resolve to start w/our New Year's resolutions next month. :rolleyes1 I say this each month too.

For those who have stayed the night before in Orlando, how early did you leave on embarkation day? I stayed at the Radisson before and I really did not like the smelly rooms, the long trek to the parking lot and the location (no decent food anywhere!). I did like the shuttle and free parking for the duration of the cruise. We too the shuttle first thing, around 10am and were among the first ones to check in. :woohoo:

We stayed last year at the Shades of Green for a few days before the Mariner. We let arround 9am. Stopped at Steak & Shake for Breakfast and were on the ship by 12:30 for lunch.

We plan to stay at the new MArriot Residence INn that is opening in May...great rate of $99 for a suite with breakfast included and right by the port. We stayed at the Ron Jon last year and it was nice, but we did not get to use the pool due to inclement weather (hurricane was threatening!!)

Were going to be at the Boardwalk Villas for pre-cruise. I can't wait! For our honeymoon we were sooooooo broke we could barely afford Pop, but we had the best time and love the resort. So this is going to be a real treat. But I can tell how that we are adults now beacuse I was so excited to have a washer/dryer in our room so we can have all our clothes clean for the cruise! :teeth:
