We went to Animal Kingdom on Sunday and got a chance to ride Expedition Everest. Unfortunately, we arrived about 10:00 a.m. and the fast passes were already given out for the day. I was not happy about this as I knew this meant we had to stand in line for at least 90 minutes. After we did actually get on the ride, we went about the rest of the park. Later in the afternoon around 4 or so, we went back and the line was then 35 minutes so we decided to wait and ride again. After we got off, the line was 20-25 minutes so we went on yet again. Unfortunately, despite everyone wanting to go on again, one of the twins had an upset stomach so we passed riding one last time. It was a very interesting ride. Any questions????

Amanda welcome back. Happy to hear that your cruise was great. I still can't believe how close we are! :cheer2:

Welcome back Amanda!!!!! We want details.

Well....We had a great time the weather was okay...I much prefer Sept/Oct/Nov weather...at least the water was warm in those months....of course I am from the south..so some of you from cold places...ahem...miss Oregon....might think it is like bath water! LOL
I was not amazed by our room steward or or serving team. Any other room steward we have had, finds us on the 1st day and introduces themself and makes sure we know that they are there for us....I never did meet this one..and he was very stingy with my precious Minnie lotions....Any other time I have cruised, I have gotten 2 sets of lotions a day....the first evening he did not replace my set and once I saw this I told him that he forgot my lotions and they were my very favorties......I thought for sure he would over do it the next day...nope......only 1 packet a day...that bummed me out. Then my DH had sent some petit fours and a bottle of champagne to our room to sail a way...It was iced when we received it......He never replaced the ice, and I never got a card to request ice, even if I did have a card I did not have DCL pen in my desk drawer like usual...OK kids just came in more later...

Whatcha gonna get?!?!?!?!?!?! :goodvibes
Everything! :teeth:

By the way the water off the coast here is freezing year round. I hate it! I am still working on getting DH to move to Texas when he is done with school. The cost of living is a big draw to him. For me it's being only a car ride away from WDW! And of course Sonic and Cracker Barrel! :cloud9:

Oh, it sounds like this one was less than magical. We will just have to make sure that you get extra pixie dust on our cruise!

We're back and fairly settled. I have to get back on the site and post more, but I finally downloaded all the pictures to the laptop. After getting Madalyn we did a lot less sightseeing and have fewer pictures. We just sort of hung around and did a few things. We had to go to zoos in 2 different cities to actually see pandas-- the first city's panda was on tour.

Can't wait to take her to WDW and on the Magic the first time. The other kids are even more excited about the trip this time because they'll have someone new to show around. Hopefully we'll have her potty trained by the cruise so she can go in the Mickey pool. She's a very determined little girl and if she wants to go in the water and can't, it won't be a pretty scene.

Julie I am so excited and happy for you and your family! :yay: I am sure she will become a disney nut just like her mom! :teeth:

Thanks all for the well wishes!

The big kids are already lobbying for Madalyn's first character meal--dinner at Garden Grill versus breakfast at Crystal Palace. Since my house isn't a democracy and I'm the de facto dictator-- it's going to be Crystal Palace since Pooh and friends aren't on the ship.

Any tips on potty training so we can get her into the Mickey pool? :rotfl2:

We just booked and are looking forward to our second Disney Magic cruise!! I look forward to getting to know everyone. We missed the last meet on our last cruise because we were to busy looking around at all the neat things on the ship. This will be our third cruise, our first was in Sept. 2004 and cut from a 4 night to a 3 which wasn't enough time for us, so last year we took a 7 night western and are hooked! My DD who will be 10 by the time we go thought doing CC twice sounded fun so that is why we picked this one. I might put her in the 8 to 9 group in the lab because she is really small and the activities in that group are more to her liking, but it is up to her. Now if only Sept. would get here quickly!!

Question how do you get your countdown clock to show and not just a link?
Thank you!
