ok yall we have the 1st thousand down now the ball is really moving! I am a bit panicked..on the May thread they are discussing final payment due dates and dinner rotation...and EEK I have not planned that far yet...........I really hope I can swing both of these cruises this year............sigh....

OK so maybe I can pirate: a TOP at least since Gail took my 1000th post and reply!lol

Sooo...we know what Julie has been up to lately what about everyone else????

Good Morning! Sorry I went to sleep on you last night Amanda. I was exhausted. We had an away game (and yes we won, and yes my baby had a great game!!!), and I came home, checked my e-mail, posted to get the #1000 and then passed out. We have to back to the gym by 11:00 this morning for two Freshman games.

I keep forgeting that you have two cruises that you are planning. If I remember correctly the first is also a double dip. Is that right? If so, we need those navigators when you get back. I figured that really can't begin planning spa and Palo, etc. until we have seen a set of navigators from the double dip cruises, or do you think the navigators for the regular cruise won't change much?

I hope so too! I mean it would suck if you had to cancel the May cruise!!!! :earboy2:

Well not to much going on here. I had to go to the ER the other night. I had some scary chest pains associated with what I think is acid reflux. They are running tests, but my ticker is fine. Get this, the DR told me to avoid and I quote, "Coffee, cigerettes, all alcohol and stress". I think I :lmao: laughed out loud. I have no problem with the alcohol, but I love my coffee and yes even my cigerettes, but I can cut back on those. But how does a 31 year old working college student, and full time wife to a DH that is working 50 plus hours a week and full time student himself cut back on stress?!!! AAAAAHHHHHH

DCL TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!

LOL I know you say that jokingly, but the May cruise would be the one I would have to cancel, it i more expensive than this cruise, and the final payment is coming up now in March...I need to make a decision. THat is why I havent told the kids about it.
WOW...stress huh>?????Please take care of yourself dear friend. As you know I am a somewhat smoker, I only smoke on my 3 breaks at work. Never b4 or after work, and never on the weekends.......can you try to cut down to a schedule of some sort???

gssmks,
That would be so cool to let our daughters get to know each other before the cruise. I see you are also from KY. We just moved here from Fl for my husband to go to school. My dd loves the lab and can't wait to go back.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

mcraft,

Oh this is great! So far, we are the only two families that have posted who live in Kentucky. What city do you live in? Since your husband traveled all this way to attend shcool, I will assume that you are in either Lexington or Louisville, where our major universities as located. How long have you been here? Hopefully, you have been here long enough to adapt to the difference in our weather and that in Florida. If not, how do you like the snow we received over night? Will you be staying here or moving back to Florida once he finishes?

I also love Florida, but this is home for me. I live in Hindman, which is in South Eastern Kentucky. We have a very small town, but huge on family and community spirit. Still, we are within a comfortable drive of Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Huntington and Charleston, West Virginia. In my opinion, we have the best of both worlds. We get the small town life on the day to day basis, and can still enjoy all of the benefits of the larger cities.

My DD would love to meet yours. Maybe during the summer months we can plan a day to meet somewhere like the Louisville Zoo or the Horse Park, so that they can spend some time together.

gssmks,
We just moved here in December, we are originally from Ohio so we remember the cold weather but have to get used to it all again. yeap we are in Louisville my husband is going to seminary here. I don't know if we will go back to Florida after it just depends on where the Lord leads us. I would love for them to get together before the cruise that way they will both know someone when they get on the ship. We just got a pass to the Louisville Zoo so maybe we can meet there during the summer. The snow was neat but my dd wishes there was more so she could go out and play in it which she has not done since she was 4. What dining seating did you get? We got second but are waitlisted for fist, hopefully we can change it but if not we will make due. Hope you have a great weekend staying warm!

What area of Ohio are you from? My mother has two sisters and a brother who live in the Cincinnati area. When I was in high school (mid-80's) I spent most of my summers there. My cousins and I bought season passes to Kings Island, and we went several times a week. I loved it.

I told my DD that another family living in Kentucky has finally posted. She is so excited. She said she could not wait to meet your DD. We will definitely have to plan a day at the zoo.

We have early seating. I have been talking to families on another thread on this board about dining. This will be our first cruise, so I am depending on the information that they have given me. Some of the other posters have said that dinner can last up to two hours, with a minimum of one hour. I do not see my DD, or me for that matter, sitting that long just to eat. We are considering taking our meals at Topsiders. It is no longer buffet at dinner. It serves the same menu as the formal restuarants, but is much quicker. If you do get stuck with late seating, you may consider this also. You can go any time during dinner hours regardless of your seating time in the dining rooms. Some people have told me that they would not consider missing the formal meals, but I know that do not want to spend that much time every night in a dining room. My DD has way too much energy to sit that long. Most importantly, it just seems like a lot of wasted time to me. From looking through the navigators, it just seems that there are so many activities that we would enjoy during the time that we would be in having that two hour meal. We do both want to eat at Animators on the night of the color show. Other than that, I am not sure that we will take any dinners in the formal restaurants.

I am originally from Columbus and my husband is from near Dayton. This will be our 3rd cruise 2nd 7 night. We have had early seating for both, we changed our last cruise from second to first. We love eating in the dining room and the time really does zoom by. My daughter ate only with us a few times because she actually prefers to eat with the club. At first I wanted her to eat with us all the time but I realized this is her vacation too and let her make the choice. She did eat in all of the resturants at least once so I can't complain. Her favorite is Animators, which I have to say is definitly not to be missed. And the onter one not to miss is pirate night because they put on a little show in the dining rooms. I would think about trying the dining rooms first before dismissing them, my dd has alot of energy too and she seemed to do ok when she did come. Just a thought. We look forward to meeting you! :cheer2:

Does anyone have a total on how many of us are cruising? I know that we have lost some, but I am sure we have gained more than we lost. Can you imagine if we all wore Dis green shirts the first day of the cruise, the port would look like lime soup! :thumbsup2

Wow, you guys have been busy, my email notification stopped. It was a nice week end here is FL. A little breezy but I hope winter is over. I hope every one has a good week.
