We are staying at the Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach. right at the port before the western part of the cruise.

Ann, since you and several others are already going to be on the ship when the rest of us get there (Miss Back2back2back!), where do you suggest we do the first DisMeet? My suggestion was the Promenade Lounge on deck 3 at 3pm.

I know I have been MIA. I have been trying to keep up with reading the thread but have not posted. Life always seems to get in the way. My DD starts PreK next week so I should have a little more time then when I only have my DS home with me....

Lifeboat drill is at 4, and sailaway party starts at 4:30 or 5:00.

On our last cruise, we met up on Deck 10 at the sailaway party, but it was really loud, and I didn't know for sure which side of the ship, and you are basically looking for people you don't know, so it was a little difficult. I just thought that 3:00 in the Promenade would be quieter, so you could hear people talking. The only thing is that some people might prefer to be at the pool with the kids, so that might not suit everyone. We have a pool at home, so we don't really swim in the pools on the ship.

I just want to make sure we get a meeting place set before people start leaving for Florida.

Thanks for the info on the times for the lifeboat drill & sail away party. We will be going to Animal Kingdom in the morning before heading off to the ship but we should be on the boat by 2pm at the latest...

I think a 3pm DisMeet is a good idea!!!!

Since this is our first cruise, could you guys give me some ideas of things that have been put in the fish extenders before? I'm starting a new job next week and want to get most of my shopping done before then. I guess that means I've got to finish the 1/2 complete fish extenders all over my dining room table too.

We've never had a fish extender before, but on our last cruise, people from the DisBoards would leave small trinket type gifts for DD, such as stickers, jewelry (think Dollar Tree stuff), etc. They would put them in little bags and hang them on the fish itself.

wow we are in the teens right now.....that is too cool. I have tried to pack but everytime I get started, maddie enters the room....Man I need to get rid of her for a week.

How are you going to explain having a bunch of suitcases for a trip of a couple of days?

Shel I should warn you, since we have tricked Kelsey so many times with surprise vacations, she is now suspicious of everything! Even though she knows everything about this vacation, she still thinks there is a surprise coming! Of course, the surprise is that there is no surprise!

I just can not wait to be cruising with you all again.

I keep telling her that I can not wait to go to Kennedy Space Center and St. Augustine. This is where she thinks we are going after we see you all off. She already told me that maybe I should bring a box of tissues cause she is going to need them.

I haven't filled out any documents online. I thought I would wait and fill them all out once they arrive here. That is still ok. Right?? We will still get paper copies with our packet this week. Hey everyone! 3pm sounds fine here too!!!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. We were pretty busy. Ryan turned 2 yesterday! We had his party on Saturday and it was lots of fun! Dh's mom was in town and that was nice....we got her a formal dress for the cruise while she was here...so pretty!!! Last night dh and I went to a concert to see Goo Goo Dolls and Lifehouse. My mom and MIL won the tickets for us doing trivia....the concert was great. Nice for dh and I to get a night out like that...too bad he had to go to work this morning
Now we are down to 17 days till we leave and lots to do! Somebody pinch me!

Anyways, I keep seeing mention of "wristbands" and Bareacuda selling them. What are the wristbands for?

Also, when exactly is the official DIS meet? Is it at the terminal or is it the 3:00 at Mickey's pool?

Just got back from a weekend spent at Six Flags St. Louis - Disney has spoiled us wayyyy to much as we are always comparing and Disney ALWAYS wins.....

Been catching up here and there but I have seen a few suggested meet times, etc. - is there more than just one? Would it make sense to post all the meet times, etc. in one place (i.e. the website that Lisa0503 has put together?). I figure if it is one place I can just print off (especially if there are multiple meets, etc.) - thoughts?

DURH - I just checked the site and see that there is a meet for 900am Monday at Cafe Cove - is that the only one?

3:00 pool meet is great with us also...I know that getting to the pool is a major priority for our DD's.
