09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

So not sure if others will be down the day before - but we plan on going to MK for the day (we aren't doing the MNSSHP) but will be there most of the day. We also got ressies for a late lunch at Crystal Palace (was surprised they had anything with the free dining, etc.).

We are also going to MK on Friday, but leaving before MNSSHP - want it to be as stress-free as possible. We would love to stay for it sometime when dd is older. I'm sure we will still be "too excited to sleep." :goodvibes

nacho- when and where did you hear about the parasailing?? Do you know why???
Thanks!

Cool - I just couldn't bring myself not to do it with my daughter. Are you guys flying down as well on that Friday - yes being nosey as we might be on the same flights?

PARASAILING - We also got our call this evening cancelling my husbands parasailing...:( He was really looking forward to it as he has never done it. Oh well - at least, so far, the cruise is still on.......

We are flying out on Friday from St. Louis. Southwest airlines. We have the earliest flight they have so we can be in Epcot by noon.

The cruise better still be on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:
We are flying down Thursday afternoon via USA3000 through Tampa/St. Pete and renting a car. Got a great deal. DH likes the "control" of that. It has actually worked well. Driving to ASMovies Thurs eve., MK on Friday day.
On the Sat after the cruise we can visit with some friends who live just outside of Orlando and stay the night. Then, due to USA3000's schedule, we fly back late Sun. so we can catch the Rams/Bucs football game in person that morning. I'm sure any money we may have saved  will be eaten up in tickets/food/parking/gas/etc. to the game., but it is all so worth it for us to see our beloved Rams. :cheer2:

As of now, we are not going to the parks at all. :sad1: :sad1:
DH had knee surgery earlier this year and he is concerned that he can't walk the parks as much as I normally require him to do. (Yes, I hit every ride!) However, I am still working on him. He knows that I really want to go!!! He told me that we might look at a trip for February of 08 but he just doesn't think he is up to walking it all now. I am hoping he may surprise me, but telling me about an upcoming February trip probably means I will not get a day this time.

We fly in on Thursday night, staying at AKV. We plan to just chill on Friday. Having breakfast at Boma and then hanging out....When we get off the ship, we are staying Sat-Tues at SSR and plan to hit the parks 3 days straight!:cool1:
I could not imagine just flying in on Sat and out on Sat....I need to see the mouse's house too!! :rotfl2:

That is what I keep saying to DH! However, we are driving. It is not a bad drive at all for us.
I still am hoping he will surprise me with at least one day at MK!!!!!

Tell your DH that my DH did 4 days at the parks back in February with a broken toe. He was in a cast up to his knee! He rented a scooter, and all was good.

My last (4day) cruise was during a bad storm and everything was cancelled. I hope this one holds up. :headache:

I had knee surgery 4 weeks ago, still fightin' the pain and I know one thing for sure.......I'm going to rent a chair and enjoy:cool1: the parks. I might not last very long, but I'm going.:wizard:

Enough of this bad weather, cancellation stuff, I'm starting to pack.

Let's cruisepirate:

We have AP's and love them. You get a discount on the hotel room and you can purchase a dining card that gets you discounts at the sit down restaurants. Also, ap's get a special preview entrance at HM on the mornings on Sept 12-14 I think.

We did little one's extra magic hour last year and loved it so much that we cancelled our character breakfast to do it again. My dd played ring around the rosie with minnie mouse and I think daisy duck. She played duck duck goose and following the leader and well as hide and seek with Peter Pan and Wendy. She played simon says with snow white. She rode Peter Pan with Wendy on both days and Snow White with Snow White. She also almost rode the carasel with goofy. We had so much fun. It was worth it to get up early to go. I would recommed being there right at the rope drop and running to the fantisy land rope drop. The first couple of kids in when straight to ride with characters. This was probebly the best hour's we have ever spent at Disney.

Now I'm even more excited to do this!!!! It was open 1 hour earlier than the park opens right? Do you think a couple minutes before 8 would be good? We will have a car, do you think we should drive or bus it? We will be leaving the parks around 10-11am to go rest and pack for the cruise at the resort, then back to MNSSHP!

We are taking the "ba" crack of dawn AA flight down - leaves STL at 620 and gets to MCO at 930. "ba = butt a$$"

Yes, it opens at 8:00. They open the front gates and then do a rope drop at Fantasyland. We took the bus and got there about 15 minutes early. The first day we were not close enough to get Kendyll on a ride with a character but Minnie came and met her and they played ring around the rosie. The second day I don't remember exactly what happened but we did not get on a ride with a character but when we enter fantasy land I thought of waking tinkerbell. We went into the shop and we were able to wake tink. Most people were running for the characters.

I've never heard of waking Tink - is that something they just do at WDW? What is it, exactly? Sounds like fun.

We did this a couple of years ago. If your child is the first one in Tinkerbell's Treasures (right as you come out of the castle in Fantasyland), she (or he) can ask to wake up Tinkerbell. The CM will allow them behind the counter to the box that Tink sleeps in, give them a wand and tell them what to say, and then Tink wakes up and flies around the room. OK, not really, it's just a light that darts around the shop, and you get a "pixie dust" sound effect, but it's really cute. And I believe the child gets a certificate also.

OOOHHH, love the name Kendyll! My three favorite picks when we were thinking of names for DD were Kendyll, Kelsey, and Emily. DH was convinced that Kendyll (or Kendall) was a boy's name, so we ended up with Kelsey!

My doctor said it was the first female Kendyll that he delivered. I met someone named Kendall when I was 14 and just loved the name. My husband wanted the Y so we changed it. I still just love the name. Your husband will love meeting a female Kendyll.

She loved waking tink but you really have to move fast. If you are not at the fanstasyland rope drop you will not get to do it. I have heard of people who plan a 8:00 breakfast in the castle so they can be right at the rope drop. People run to do it.
