09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

Someone just told me about this board so I thought I would stop in and say hi!!! We are heading to WDW before we board but we are so excited!!! I have twin two year olds and this is their first trip!!!! They are already talking about riding the boat with Mickey...really cute! My husband and I have been on the Magic twice before...one Eastern for our honeymoon and one Western where we brought home our "little souvenirs" as we laugh at. I am extremely excited since I haven't had a vacation for almost 3 years now!!!

countdown is on!!

Welcome to our group!
Jump right in and have some giggles, we're a bunch of talkers, a friendly sort of bunch. BTW... cute kids!

We are going Southwest. You might want to check into the DING. Our flight was originally $176 one way. We waited until it was $119. Now today I just got the Ding for $74. If we get cheaper that is great but I can live with this price because they are the flights I wanted.:thumbsup2

We have friends in Sacramento. I have being seeing Dings for the same price for us to go there a couple of times lately. Too bad we don't have the time this year or we would be jumping on those prices to the west coast. My point is they jump around all over the country. You just have to watch for them. Sign up and see what you can get.

Thanks a bundle! I'll do some hunting today:woohoo:

Welcome! Glad you found us.

A bunch of us are going to Disney for a couple of days before or after the cruise. I don't know if you know but there is a Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom the night before the cruise.

:wave2: Hey #1Disfan! I am so glad you came to our meet thread! Great to have you here!
I love the story about your little souvenirs!! They are precious!!!!

I am seriously thinking of changing my cabin from a cat 12 to cat 9, my Dh, DD, and DN have never been on a cruise, and I think they would love a porthole cabin, and with bringing an extra person, we could use the extra room. Any opinions???

I say go for it if you can!!! That would make it so special, especially if they have never cruised before. :goodvibes

We are actually going to go to MNSSHP Friday. My sister and her fiance and my parents bought us tickets to get in....really excited!!!!

Sounds like this is a fun group!!! I don't get a chance to check in very often but I definitely will try!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

By the way, thanks for the link!!!!

hey everyone! I have been MIA since...oh a long time!
Im soooo excited about the cruise, but my head is spinning. We are leaving in two weeks to go back home (MA) to visit family for 12 days and during this time we are having a huge party for my daughters 3rd birthday. Anyway, I have been planning that and also what I need for the cruise. I'm going in all directions and cant remember what is for what trip:headache: .

We are having a "princess" birthday party....go figure LOL. One is going to be Sleeping Beauty and the other is Snow White.

Kamy, oh I will be in your boat in a couple of weeks. My girls will start part- time preschool the end of August and I am sooo nervous! The good thing is that they will be used to going somewhere without me and hopefully love oceaneers;) Hope your feeling better.

I read on another thread about Le Galion Beach being kid friendly. Anyone planning on going there?

I hope to be here more often now and once we are back from MA.

Kelly

Well, I did it. I changed from cat 12 to oceanview cat 9!!! Two portholes for my DD and DN to look out!! Cannot wait!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you book deck 1? Deck 1 has two smaller port holes.
Deck 2 and up has the one larger port hole.
We had deck 1 on our first cruise because we booked very last minute. We actually loved it. I had thought about requesting deck 1 for this cruise, but we are going with another family and they wanted to be a bit higher. The wife was thinking the larger port hole would help her feel less closed in.......or something like that.
I was fine with the two smaller port holes, though. Deck 1 was really quiet. I liked it a lot!

Yes we got room 1072!!!! I read the stateroom review , and they said it was quiet, but no steamer trunk. It looked great!

I am dying to get our room assignment, we are gaurenteed. I am hoping by the end of this month maybe:confused3

WE did book the Under 2 Flags tour for St. Maarten though. I can't decide if I want to book any other excursions. I think I need to get in touch with my DCL contact to get his advice. LOL

Kelly,
Just wanted to mention, we had a Snow White party for Laurel earlier this year when she turned 4 and I got the most fantastic Snow White and Disney Princess cake/cupcake icing off ebay. They were so easy to make and turned out beautifully -dd loved them. I don't know if you use ebay, but the seller was heavenlysweets0. Hope everything goes well for your trip! :)

We bought a dry erase board a few weeks ago at Kmart. I thought I got a good deal because it was $4. something. Today at target they were in the $1.00 isle at Target. They were really cute and had flowers or butterflies. I did not look to hard as I already had one but afterwards thought my cruise friends might like to know.

We had room 1034 on our first cruise. DH and I really did love it. We were low so that helped with sea sickness issues. We had the two port holes so there was one for each DD. Plus, the hallway is only taken up part of the way with staterooms for guests (The rest are for medical facilities and crew.) so it was very quiet!! We have said that the next time we cruise, just our family, we will request that same room. Since we are traveling with another family this trip.......and it is their first cruise ever...........we let them pick room location. The wife is slightly claustrophobic and she is worried about feeling closed in. I hope that she doesn't have a problem with it onboard. I have never had that issue so I don't know what to expect.
Anyway, congrats nikkistevej! You will love it!!!!!

Great! Thanks for the information. I have to go to Target today to pick up a few items. I will be sure to check the dollar spot!

hey everyone! Just checking in...sounds like lots of good stuff going on! We have never stayed on deck 1...sounds nice and quiet! Stayed on deck 2 a couple of times and liked it.....

Been sick the last few days and I think Ryan is getting it now:sick: That stinks! Well, lets get all the bugs out now before VACATION:cool1:

I was thinking about it last night, I have been on this thread for over a year. Actually a hand full of us have been. It is amazing to think we have been together this long and the things we have all gone thought both good and bad.
