09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

Well, Ryan left this morning for his first day at "school"!:guilty: I am so excited for him, but he is so little and he has never been away from me like this, so it is a bit nerve-wracking. I hope he is good and has fun. So, it is just me and Liam today....it is nice but strange.....
We are in full planning mode now. My mom went shopping over the weekend and got some cute tops and a dress for dinners. I still have a ton of stuff to get, but waiting....at least plane tickets are done.
It is getting closer all the time.....:woohoo:

Hello everyone. We are now one day closer to our cruise!!!!!! :cool1:

I am going to the costume store today. I am hoping to find some pirate costumes for DDs. I know that I can always buy the ones at Disney Store, but they are $49.50!!!! I am hoping that today we may find some a little cheaper than that. We'll see.

Hi Kamy,

Sending a hug. That first day is so hard (on the parents!) Time sure flies by.
I hope to do some shopping next month for a few things. I have overplanned this trip so much I'm sure I'll forget to do or pack something major!

Thanks, I just hope he is being nice the the other kids! :lmao:

I need to get my shopping going, but I am determined to lose at least another 15-20lbs....so that will make a difference in clothes. So I will still wait....

Big hugs Kam! I know how rough that first day is. I cried all the way to work the first time I had to leave Joey. It does get easier...although I'm sure I'll be a mess when he starts Kindergarten in the fall. Ohh...I don't want to think about it.

I can't wait to see you guys again. 2 months is too long!

I am so excited. I just got a Ding for MCO. All booked and our other flights canceled. Our original was $119 one way and now our Ding was $74 one way. We still were able to keep the same flights so I am glad about that. If we get another ding that will just be gravy but I can live with $74 as opposed to $119. Total saving=$180.

I spent most of my first day away from Kendyll crying. After the first week and the next Monday it got easier. I found Monday's to always be hard. After spending the weekend with her and having so much fun. I always missed her more on Monday. I find that Monday's are easier now but I get excited to see her on Monday when I pick her up.

I am so excited we are having more people. Soon we are going to take over the ship.

Congrats on the Ding. We think we will get more as the trip gets closer.

Congrats, Hixski, on your ding!!!!!! :yay:

:grouphug: to you Kamy. Let us know what he said about his first day.

I did get both of my DDs pirate costumes today! They were cheaper than Disney Store. They are so excited!!!! My youngest DD's costume didn't come with boot covers so now we are trying to find some in child size or find her some black boots. I am not getting them fishnet hose either. I found oldest DD black panty hose. However, youngest DD will probably have to wear her black tights. I cannot find black hose for an 8 (soon to be 9) year old. DO you think the tights will be too hot?
I am just wearing black capri pants with a white button up shirt.

Kamy...It will get a little easier as time goes by. I know the 1st time Krystina went to preschool, I was upset, but it was a little easier for me, she had my old teacher...so I knew everything would be ok! Now they get up, and are out the door, and its like yeah, 25 mins before I leave for work to clean up the cyclone from them!!!:rotfl2:

Heather...I got a Ding the other day for either $74 or $69(Cant remember) from MDW, for Sept. 14 and returning Sept. 23. I had no problem getting our original dates and times for the Ding

Have you checked into dance hosiery? I would think that wouldn't be too difficult to find in black for her age? What size would she be?

Yes, they did have the black fishnet at the costume store because they carry the dance hosiery. However, it was about $20 for the pack!!!!!!! I couldn't see spending that just for the pirate costume. I didn't see sheer black hose in her size at the costume store, just the tights. She is a size 8/10.
I did check Walmart when we left the costume store. They only had the tights too. We do have that at home from this past winter that she can wear if we don't find anything else. I just thought a sheer black panty hose would be cooler than the tights. I wonder if a department store, like Sears or JCPenney, would have the black hose.
I will buy the fishnet if I can find it cheaper than what the pack was at the costume store.

That's great you found costumes, I looked last weekend and the party store I went to didn't have costumes yet. :confused3

We are going Southwest. You might want to check into the DING. Our flight was originally $176 one way. We waited until it was $119. Now today I just got the Ding for $74. If we get cheaper that is great but I can live with this price because they are the flights I wanted.:thumbsup2

We have friends in Sacramento. I have being seeing Dings for the same price for us to go there a couple of times lately. Too bad we don't have the time this year or we would be jumping on those prices to the west coast. My point is they jump around all over the country. You just have to watch for them. Sign up and see what you can get.

Well, the teachers said Ryan did really well and played good with all the kids. He was so tired last night. :goodvibes

I was up sick all night myself. Still feel pretty terrible. Had a terrible headache, fever, sore throat....just feeling awful. I hope it goes away soon.....I hate being sick. It is so much harder to have the energy for the kids all day when I feel bad. And dh is working all day, so I am hoping they nap at the same time!

Our party store didn't have costumes yet either. I tried them about two weeks ago. That store is much closer to me than this costume store I went to yesterday! The drive is really into the heart of downtown so it is about 35 minutes or so. We had never been to this store before. However, a friend knew that I had been looking for pirate costumes so she recommended it. It is a store that rents costumes and sells costumes. They have any kind of costume, wig, glove, hat, cane, sword,......accessory imaginable! I was blown away at everything they had!!!!!! They also carry tuxedo rentals with the shirts, shoes, etc. Plus they carry dance hosiery, body suits, tights, shoes, etc. It was a HUGE store! My DDs loved it!

My cousin is coming and he is 18 and just graduated from high school. He is cruising with his mom. I will try to get him to post on the boards! :thumbsup2

Someone just told me about this board so I thought I would stop in and say hi!!! We are heading to WDW before we board but we are so excited!!! I have twin two year olds and this is their first trip!!!! They are already talking about riding the boat with Mickey...really cute! My husband and I have been on the Magic twice before...one Eastern for our honeymoon and one Western where we brought home our "little souvenirs" as we laugh at. I am extremely excited since I haven't had a vacation for almost 3 years now!!!

countdown is on!!

Welcome to the group!!!
We are sailing with our ds, Ryan who will be 2 on 8/26 and our youngest ds, Liam who will be 9mths then. So great to see other little ones!!!!
:goodvibes
