Man - I feel like a doofus...I totally forgot about the cruise meets forums. I've been sitting here, posting here and there on the DCL "main" board and totally forgot that there was already a place I can start to get aquainted with people on the same cruise.

I actually started thinking about this last night and thought I would go ahead and post for my upcoming cruise if someone wanted to "share" dinner table's with us. Was thinking it may be good for my daughter to have someone near or around her age that she could get aquainted with.

I'm sorry if this seems freaky or kind of "weird" but I didn't know if other folks have thought about this, etc.? Would be nice to get acquainted with folks prior to the cruise and know a little bit about the people we would be sharing a table with (is this even possible - meaning can disney put groups who are on different reservations on the same rotation/table?).

Let me know your thoughts!!

Hi Anjelica. I have to tell you that I have "seen" you posting on other boards, and I have always been curious about your avatar. As you can see from my signature, I am a huge Carolina Panthers fan!!!!!!!!!! Your picture of the panther has always gotten my attention. Is there a story behind it?

I agree that getting to know fellow DISers before our cruise is a great idea. Lisa0503 has put together a web page and roster of DISers on our cruise. It is really great! Find one of her posts, and then check out the link in her signature.
Also, I do remember another DISer posting and asking to link together dinners. I cannot remember who posted it. You can read back and few pages and find out. We are traveling with another family of four, a non-DIS family, so we are already linked with someone.
It is great to meet you here! I look forward to cruising with you!

ETA: I just noticed that after I posted you changed your avatar!!!!! Where did the panther picture go? Funny. ;) You must have done it while I was typing. It was just there a minute ago!:rolleyes1

Yeah - I noticed I hadn't updated much of my stuff in years. The old panther really was just an old avatar they had out here when I joined back in October of 2004. I think it was one that was more "basic", etc. but "cooler".

Thanks very very very very very much for the information. I am going to go track down this website now!!

On another note, I have been keeping up with the thread about the new CC cards/kits. Most people have already received them earlier this week. I still haven't received mine yet. I guess if I don't get them by the weekend I will call DCL. Have all of you received your new cards yet?

I received 2 of the new cards...one at my parents address, and one at home. But my oldest DD did not get one, it was a little strange. I called and they said they would send her out one. Its a nice little flyer...I love the artwork!

Anjelica,

Welcome!! Do you have early or late seating for dining? I am coordinating a group for early seating, and I know someone else is doing the late. How old is your DD? I have 3 DD's ages 3, 8(almost 9) and 11. They have been talking to another girl that is cruising with us! And its not weird to want to sit with others, I did it on my 1st and only cruise with other DIS members, and had the time of my life!!!! Welcome again!

I can't wait to get the DCL brochure and cards!!!!!!!!! I still haven't received them. I will be calling if they don't come soon.

Thanks! I sent you a PM. My daughter will be 4 at time of cruise (she turns 4 in 3 weeks). We have early dining. I am "guessing" that means our rotation will be animators, lumiere's the PC - again just pure guessing but I think I read somewhere when you have small children and for early dining.

I received my card on Monday. DBF hasn't received his yet though. He never received the first set so I doubt he'll get the second one. He did call DCL and get his CC member # so I have that in my handy-dandy Passporter. I'll be saving my old one. Nice souvenier.

Only 126 more days!!!:woohoo:

ETA: Welcome Anjelica!!

Funny thing...............after our first cruise, our youngest DD (6 at the time) received her CC card, cd, etc. The rest of our family didn't receive one. I didn't call DCL because I thought it was one per family and DD had the first name in alphabetical order. Silly me; I know. Once we booked this cruise I realized that we all have a number. I explained to the rep on the phone that our DD received her card but the rest of us did not. She then told me that they are sending out all new cards soon. That was last month when I talked to her so I expected to get cards soon. We haven't received anything. I do have all of our CC numbers though. The rep gave them to me on the phone. I have put them in our profile online at DCL's site also.

Hi Anjelica - You must have posted on this thread sometime in the past because I already have you on the cruise roster. I did get your e-mail though so I updated the roster with all your info!!! Glad to know you found your way back to this thread and are posting here again.

It looks like Tinkerbell77 already contacted you about linking your dining but if you want to participate in any of the other DisActiviites, the organizers are all listed on the web site so check it out. If there is no contact it will say TBA and we are looking for someone to "take charge of orgainizing" so if anyone wants to volunteer...please 'raise your hand' :thumbsup2

We just got our Castaway Club cards in the mail today.

Today I booked one night at Saratoga Springs on the night we return from the cruise. We had the points and DH isn't quite ready to end the vacation. We will have the night before the cruise at BCV and now the night we return at SSR. If my job holds out I may even try for a few days at Vero Beach to start with if they have any openings.

I want our CC cards too. :worried: DH is bringing the mail home with him, so maybe they will be there. :confused3

Just another day with good news!
Congrats everyone. Jennifer48... way to go with the pay off!:cool1:
The only thing I have is a new cell phone. A hot pink razor for Mother's Day.

So far I love the new phone... since I dropped the old one and put 2 big cracks in it! And it has a big screen... for my old eyes! I can read it better.
