I just had to post my good news.... I got an e-mail from SouthWest and they are having a sale on the flights we booked for this trip. The flights I paid $158 for are now going for $99. I got a $236 credit on our flights!!! I could probably get a refund to my credit card but we are going to WDW in January so I think I will just keep the credit for those flights since we will be buying 4 tickets then.... Now I can hope that my $99 tickets go on sale again for $59 which was the price we paid to fly this past Sept.

Good for you!!!! I am hoping that Southwest will run a sale for us soon. They just announced Air Tran this week and they are running specials. Just nothing non-stop like we want. I think Southwest will run a sale pretty quick since the competition is here.

I just had to come vent. I am so upset.
I went to a new hairdresser yesterday. She has been cutting DH's and DDs' hair for a couple of years. (DH found her first.) She does such a great job with their hair, and she is cheaper than my hairdresser. I have been happy with my previous girl, but I thought I would go cheaper since this other one has done great work on DH and DDs. Well, let's just say I am crying now. She cut my hair so short!!!!!!!!! I brought her a picture of a short style that I liked that I had a few years ago. I told her that I wanted cut that stlye, but a longer version of it because DH hates short hair. I asked if that was possible; she said it was. We talked for about 10 or so minutes going over what I wanted. My new hair cut is definitely short!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so worried now about my cruise pictures. Laugh at me; I know that I am silly. I don't want my hair short like this for the cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, I don't even think I can have it close to my shoulders by 4 months. I am so upset.

I would go back and talk with her gaain... and bring the pic! Tell her that you are very unhappy with the results. If you get no satisfaction with her ... talk to the owner or the shop manage.

Your hair may not grow that fast but... go somewhere else (like your old place) and get it trimed in a cuter cut.
I have short hair... and love it! It's only 3 1/2 " on top and still looks very sexy/ cute every day. Even for the formal night pics on the ship.

I should have specified that my husband doesn't like my hair short. I dont' really think it is short hair on females in general. When we met, I had the long 80s hair with big bangs.........remember that one. Well, it has always been long or at least no shorter than my shoulders. One time, after I had my second baby, I went and got it all cut off so that it would be easier to handle with my new baby. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!! It was a really cute style. DH, on the other hand, hated it. Well, that is the picture I brought in. I asked if I could get a longer version of that cut..........maybe right above the shoulders. Now it is way too short, and the style is not even the right style. I am so sad. DH was out of town on business last night. He will see it this evening when he gets home!!!!!!!! He is going to die!!!!!!! Thankfully he likes this hairdresser. Maybe that will help. I can always say, "Your lady did it!" I will definitely be letting it grow out for a while.

ETA: I thought I would try to go a little shorter since we are beginning summer and this would be a little cooler for hot weather.

Also, DH didn't complain or put down on my short hair. He just told me that he preferred it long. He has told me that I can do whatever I want to do with my hair. However, I have tried to keep it no shorter than around my shoulders since I know he likes it longer. He wasn't expecting a short cut (neither was I). He will be surprised when he gets home today!!!!!

I can't do a ponytail at all now......not even close. I had hoped to do ponytails for the cruise, except for dinner, shows, and pictures in evenings. I didn't want to have to worry about my hair.
I hope I can at least get it long enough for a tiny ponytail by then. We will see. It will have to grow quickly for that, though!!!!


OK. I am sorry for venting. Back to cruise info/posts.

Ditto! It is difficult to adjust to a new shorter style - especially when it is a surprise. I used to have long hair, but now it just barely below shoulders. Frankly, I have always wanted to get a short & sassy haircut, but am a chicken at heart about it. I think it would be great for summer - and then you don't have to worry so much about the wind blowing your hair in your face so much onboard.

My statement about my hair... if it's too short... It'll ALWAYS grow back. Heck... Dh might like it shorter

I tried growing it out last year... and hated it. My hair is baby fine(no kidding) and stright as a board! So longer hair is out of the question.
That's why I have a long red wig for Priate Night... no one has ever heard of a short haired priate!

Well, I was in bed by the time DH got home last night. His flight was delayed some and then they had to wait over 45 minutes for the luggage. Needless to say, he was later than expected. I just talked to him in bed, with big light off, head on pillow. He couldn't really see my hair. He did see it this morning (morning hair )! I just said, "Do you see how she ruined my hair?" He looked at it and said, "I don't think it looks ruined, just short." I said, "Oh yes, it is ruined for several months now, and definitely short! Too short!" He said that he thought I wanted it shorter. I explained that I did, but NOT THIS SHORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, I have come to the conclusion that it will eventually grow back. That is the good news. I will just have to wait a while. Who knows where it will be by cruise time.

On another note, I have been keeping up with the thread about the new CC cards/kits. Most people have already received them earlier this week. I still haven't received mine yet. I guess if I don't get them by the weekend I will call DCL. Have all of you received your new cards yet?

I guess "kit" isn't really a good word. (Sorry, I should not have used in my first post.) From what I can tell it is a brochure with the new cards and also news about new, upgraded CC gifts. Here is the thread so you can follow along.

Is anybody doing the REAS package? I am thinking about adding it on as a anniversary surprise for DH. His birthday is that Friday the 14th too. Is it worth it? We have had great spa experiences on other cruise lines, but this is our first time cruising with a little one and I'm a bit worried that if she doesn't really like the Oceaneer's club we may not get our money's worth for the spa time. Any thoughts?

I received our CC Cards I think on Monday.
They are a bot cutier but I still like the "old"ones. They're like credit cards. This time I have one!
The couple that went with us on the Panama trip did that package.... They loved it.
DD may like the club. She'll have a few new Dis-Friends by then.

We have had great spa experiences on other cruise lines, but this is our first time cruising with a little one and I'm a bit worried that if she doesn't really like the Oceaneer's club we may not get our money's worth for the spa time. Any thoughts?

YESSSSSS - I just added it earlier this week. I have to admit one perk I like about it is I get to book items at the 105 day mark instead of the 75 day mark (I'm sooooo not a morning person). But honestly the other perks are kind of cool too.
