Great job on the website and having a link to it in your sig!! :thumbsup2

I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Today I went dress shopping with my mother with low expectations of finding a dress...I was just browsing...and I FOUND MY DRESS!!! :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc It is officially ordered. It will arrive in 3-4 months and then take 1-2 months for fittings and alterations so I ordered it just in time. It was such an amazing experience shopping with my Mom and trying on all the dresses. The staff was fantastic and I got a lot of attention and felt really special. I knew when I found my dress that it was The ONE...kind of like Patrick. I got all teary...couldn't help it! I can't say much about it because he reads these boards but I actually felt gorgeous in it and I can't wait for him to see it on the day! Eeek! :bride:
Thanks for sharing!! So wonderful that you had such a great time shopping and finding THE DRESS!! :cool1:

Lisa...GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for putting that together! It will be fun to see how it grows. Tom and I are in 5636. We used to do Cat 4s. LOVED them. But then thought about our little getaways...and love the seclusion of the Navigator verandah! :thumbsup2 Even with our kids now...we tend to go with two cabins. Our Abby is not too tall yet...but getting there. She is 14, and still has a good year of growth left, according to a few docs. Her shoes are size 11s!!!! Her hands are almost as big as Tom's! We hope the boys are going to follow suit! Anyway, when we try to put everyone's stuff away, it is nice to have the extra storage space. Some time we would like to be like Disneynut1955 and get one of the suites!! Then again, I would be happy with any of the suites! This cruise will be my 16th...14th with Disney. Tom's 12th...I think. We definitely prefer DCL! OH...we are early seating for dinner...and actually hope for Palo's on the first night.

Haven't been on in a while. Our oldest son had been on a basketball team where one of his teammate's dad was his coach last year. During the year, the coach had some health issues. Things looked hopeful, and then at the beginning of the school year we were told it didn't look good. One of the finest men I have ever met passed away this week. It has rocked our kids and their school, as this is the sixth parent/teacher to pass away in just a few years. It is nice to be able to come to the boards and be lifted. Thank you all...for the joy, the planning, the banter, the sheer pleasure of life!

Thanks for sharing so much about yourselves. Sorry to hear about the loss to your school family. And your personal loss of a friend as well.
Glad you are back.

Mouser,
I saw your post on the September 8th thread. you have no idea who you are lighting a fire under over there! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: By the time they get done with you, you won't have any energy left for us. :lmao:

I have no intention of doing it all myself. I thought if I put some thoughts forward and anyone wanted we could work together. I am new at this and won't be the best for taking the lead. If there isn't any interest then there will be more time to spend on the Eastern. Only time will tell what will happen. Besides there are two of us in the house that that plan for this vacation. Thanks for the warning. Mouser/Lois

Lois,
They are alot of fun over there. :goodvibes My thoughts were, just participating in all the events will wear you out! :jumping1: Kborn and PIT learned well from the "11 Nights in Paradise" You are so generous to offer to do what you can. There will be plenty to do on both threads. It is early yet. We will unfortunately have people join us and drop out for various reasons. I know of one confirmed poster who is not joining us. Others have to wait and see. (I hope they can,I hope they can.) Usually events start to get really solid at the 4 month to one month out mark. If there something you really want to do, or have some ideas go for it. You can take the lead if you want. We're :grouphug: all in this boat together. Take any of these suggestions back to the 8th. Keith and Cyndi probably did them all?

OPTIONS (DISclaimer- everything is optional)
We as a group may choose to do some, none or all of the following. Some things take a particular talent in the activity area. Some require little, others a considerable investment of time and or $$. I don't have all the info on everything listed but I can hook you up with who does!

Any other Ideas out there?

Here is my getting to know you list:
1) Favorite music/performer? Collective soul, one of the first concerts i went to and they rocked!
2) Favorite dish? Chicken and dumplins...
3) Any Pets? Does Joey and Megan count....

6) A surprising thing you've encountered, seen or experienced? My nieces being born, well wasn't in the room but seeing them for the first time, kinda prepped me for when i have my first kid
7) What region or city did you grow up in? Grew up in Manassas, VA, about a half hour from DC
8) What are you "NOT"? Rich, unhappy or a good golfer...haha

Tigger & Bubba: (Dianna) Thanks for the ideas. I know that I want to help out on both threads in some way. Not sure how yet. I am aware that I can't do it all. I have Fibromylagia and if I do too much I pay a very big price. (that includes my time before the cruise and what I do while on the Magic) I will be limited in time as I have to work so I can cruise. I will take note of the past ideas and see if I can't come up with a new and different one. We have great group of people and I am sure it will change over time. It stands to reason that there would be families that drop out due to work and family issues, as well as, new comers joining later. Not everyone books as far ahead as I do. I look forward to learning more about what to expect and just trying to go with the flow. I am a real planner. I have been the one to make the plans for our past vacations. They get more detailed with each one. The vacations get better the more I learn about things to do and ways to do them. Heres to making each day the best one can and always being open to learning and growing. Mouser/ Lois

Lots of fun ideas flowing on this thread!!! Thanks for the kind wishes! It is appreciated!

While I am a tried and true Cub fan, my DH is a big Cardinal fan. Since my Cubbies can't be in the World Series I am cheering on, woefully tonight, the Cardinals. Our kids are definitely getting into it all!

That is one fun thing on the ship in September...when they show football games out on the Jumbotron!!! I wonder if they do all the New Year's Day football games up there! That would really be fun!

Anybody out there like to participate in Chip-It-Golf??? How about the art auctions??? Cruisin' for Trivia??? Who likes to simply grab a good book, a Diet Coke, a lounge chair and simply laze in the sun???

One of the reasons we don't do many of the activities is we choose to chill on the verandah. Power lounging is one of my favorite events on the ship. We dined in our stateroom at least four nights.

Love the Spa! Received a "Magical Moments" certificate last cruise from a CM for the rainforest room. :woohoo:

You reminded me of another activity Mousehunt at sea? Trivia and puzzle contest.

I'm not familiar with Chip it Golf. Details, Details.

Are you doing a New Year's cruise?

WOW!!!! What a list!!!! I would love to participate in Secret Mickey, a Sailaway Party, PJ Breakfast & other DisMeets Parties on board. DH said he would particpate in the Mickey Bar Contest. I like the idea of the fish extender but I am craft challanged and could not make one (I would be willing to pay for one if that were an option...) As per the swimming to the wreck in Serenity Bay - where is it? CC??? Is that the adult beach? DH & I love the water so regardless this sounds like fun...

One other thing that I saw on the 11 night cruise was they kept track of who was going on what excursions. I think it would be fun to know if any Disers were going on the excursions with us or organize our own... I would have no problem keeping track of excurisons too, unless someone else want to keep of them.

Speaking of excursions.... Has anyone given any thoughts on what excursions they may be doing?

We were thinking of doing the Reggatta at St Martin and then taking a taxi around the island and enjoying a beach....Oh and Jewlry shopping of course...

At St Thomas, DH & I were thinking of taking the ferry over to St John's ourselves and going to Trunk Bay.

I am not sure about what we are going to do at CC...Any suggestions? I know I really don't want to do the Stingray Encounter this trip (we will wait till we have the kids with us on a future cruise)

We haven't decided what we are going to do on the eastern. Since we have done this 3 times we were thinking about just going to a beach or maybe just walking around town. We want to take it easy and try to relax alittle. I like the Trunk Bay idea. As far as CC I believe we will visit with the stingrays. That was the neatest thing. I want to live on CC and take care of the stingrays. That would be the best job. I am sure I would be expected to do more than just care for the stingrays. I was a zoo keeper for three years some time ago. It was awesome. Mouser/Lois

Wow...that is so neat that you were a zoo keeper. Did you have to have some sort of a degree in bio or something to do that?

I am sure the stingray excursion is excellent. I did a scuba excursion on a RCI cruise some years back where I scuba dived with (and fed) stingrays. We also have an Aquarium in CT where they have a stingray tank where you can touch them. Since this will be the ONLY trip DH & I will be taking without the kids anytime soon, I would like to do something more adult oriented this trip. I had read somewhere about couple massages on the beach but I couldn't find any price info on this (I am sure it is expensive though...) I was also thinking of possibly some sort of boating (sailing or kyacking...)

Here is a picture of us on our last cruise in December. Of course Wyatt is now 14 months old and looks nothing like this anymore!

I sure hope everyone can use some power lounging :rotfl2: :goodvibes and the term.

Here is a pic of "Magical Moments" certificate. The gift that may come with this is tailored to the guest(s). I have heard of children receiving them before, but I hadn't heard of adults getting them. (What does that tell you about me?) :lmao:
Magicalmoments.jpg

It was left in my fish as a surprise along with a pass for the rain forest room.
