It is 6 months until we cruise!
I just found on Jetblue a fare of 69.00/per person each way to Orlando, arriving the day before the cruise and leaving on the 19th after we do a couple of days at Disney, the total for both of us round trip is $318.40 , I think that is a great deal.
I think we have decided to stay around the port before the cruise, so we can get to the port early. Probably either the Radisson or Country Inn and Suites. When we get back from the cruise, we will be going to Animal Kingdom to stay at the Concierge Club Level, has anyone every done this. Any feedback would be great

I am not going until Sunday....but I am sure everything will be fine.
Hmmm, I am going to have to check out Jet Blue. I still have a $400 credit from last year with them.
That price is cheap because it is from a smaller airport about 45 minutes from our house... We flew out of the same airport last year for our B2B cruise and the price for 4 of us was $850.00/ round trip, it was great plane on time and when your traveling with a 10 and 3 year the T.V.'s were great, especially when it was the first flight for our little guy, I love flying JetBlue.
Is anyone else heading to Disney after the cruise. We will be going for 2 days, Thursday and Friday, leaving on Saturday evening JetBlue has a flight leaving at 7:30pm, so we will have all day at the parks. I think we are going to stay at Saratoga Springs, and have dinner one night in Canada.

Hey everybody!
I've been so out of the loop for the past couple of weeks I just completely lost track of stuff (and my DIS account is out of whack, too!).
I called DVC yesterday and we're now booked at BC for both the day before and two days after the cruise! Yay! It's the only DVC resort I haven't stayed at and I think the location will be perfect for everything we want to do. Now to think about where to have dinner....
Mary, so glad you've felt well enough to go back to work. I hope you continue to feel at least that well if not better. Congrats on booking the 2010 cruise, too.
Marsha, the pic of the 3 of you is adorable. We didn't see any of those photographers. I've got to see if we have any photos worth posting
.
Hello All!
It's been months since my first post. I have occasionally checked back to read some of the posts but the last time I actually logged in was way back in November. How time flies!
We survived Christmas and hopefully have seen the last of winter here in NJ. It was 77 today!
This is the first cruise for my kids and I so planning is underway. How exciting!!
I am currently working on the passport applications for the kids and myself. I am also researching transportation to/from the port. Are there any updates on the party bus? Do you know the cost? (I tried to send a PM to BVCOwner2002 but I got a message that I had to have 10 posts to send a PM and I only had 4. So, I assume that message did not get delivered)
The kids and I have also been researching the Castaway Cay section on the DCL site. Lots of options. My son and I are hoping to go Parasailing. This will be a new adventure for both of us. Does anyone have any other suggestions for kids?
As for WDW, we arrive to BCV on 9/11 and then staying at BLT 9/17 - 9/20.
The kids (5 & 10) have actually planned out their dining plans for most of the WDW visit. I left it up to them. Now, we just have to wait to get them booked. This new 90 day booking window is going to drive me crazy. Can you tell we are a little PHANATICal about our planning?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me when we get the cruise itinerary. Do we get the details of activities, shows, etc. prior to when we are able to book special activities/excursions?
For the kids clubs, do you have to sign up for specific times or can they come and go through out the day based on other activities we may have planned?
Well, I have lots more questions but it is getting late and I do not want to go on and on and on all in one post.
Any information you can provide is appreciated!
Baby update: DD had a little girl @ 3:51p.m. 8lbs I don't know how long yet.
This is my 5th DGC. I will most likley leave on Friday to help take care of the family. yet to be determined.
The dance competition went very well. Courtney was on fire. I wish I could post some pictures, but I lost my camera on Monday before I got the weekend pics downloaded. It was very sad for me. The camera itself was expensive, but those pictures are irreplaceable.
Courtney was one of five finalists for a ballet scholarship. They did an audition class over the weekened. There were about 200 kids in her age group and she was one of the top five. I was very proud of her. She didn't win, but the girl that beat her was amazing! I told Courtney that if she had to lose - that this girl deserved to win. Courtney agreed. She was also happy that she got callbacks for tap and jazz too (which are not her strongest disciplines....so another big accomplishment.)
Hi all, we are back from WDW. Had a great time with all the drill team girls although at times challenging with 19 girls! Good news is they won the National Drill Team Championship and our now the National Champions for the small high school division. The girls were thrilled.

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday morning. It has been a pretty busy week for me so I had a lot of catching up to do. We are a chatty bunch.
Cathy, Courtney, & Wayne - Happy Belated Birthday! I hope each of you enjoyed your birthday.
Joanne, I am glad that you are okay. I had been wondering if everything was okay with you since I hadn't seen any posts from you.
I am surprised you did not see any of the photographers. I was in the lobby almost every night taking pictures. Here is another one:

I am getting more and more excited about the cruise as each day passes. We did make some decisions concerning the cruise. DH finally decided that we were going to drive down which I am thilled about. And, I booked a studio at Beach Club Villas the day before the cruise and a one-bedroom at AKV - Jambo House (Kidani was unavailable) for two days after the cruise.
Dianne,
I remember you saying that, but sometimes I have old timers and forget and I did not want to do that.
WIll you be able to DIS or will you be with out a computer?
Take care
