Chris,

The kids here are on Spring brake next week to.

Since you are not going to Disney next week do you have any thing else planed?

flo
:surfweb:

Nope, nothing planned this year :sad1: But we are already thinking to next year's Spring Break!

Becca has to go to Cedar Rapids tomorrow for a Show Choir performance and will be spending the night there but the rest of us will just be home. And then nothing planned for the week. The girls are just happy to be able to sleep in! And I'm happy not to have to worry about them getting ready for school!

It is 6 months until we cruise!

Yay!!!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :yay:

I just found on Jetblue a fare of 69.00/per person each way to Orlando, arriving the day before the cruise and leaving on the 19th after we do a couple of days at Disney, the total for both of us round trip is $318.40 , I think that is a great deal.

I think we have decided to stay around the port before the cruise, so we can get to the port early. Probably either the Radisson or Country Inn and Suites. When we get back from the cruise, we will be going to Animal Kingdom to stay at the Concierge Club Level, has anyone every done this. Any feedback would be great

Hmmm, I am going to have to check out Jet Blue. I still have a $400 credit from last year with them.

Hmmm, I am going to have to check out Jet Blue. I still have a $400 credit from last year with them.

That price is cheap because it is from a smaller airport about 45 minutes from our house... We flew out of the same airport last year for our B2B cruise and the price for 4 of us was $850.00/ round trip, it was great plane on time and when your traveling with a 10 and 3 year the T.V.'s were great, especially when it was the first flight for our little guy, I love flying JetBlue.

Is anyone else heading to Disney after the cruise. We will be going for 2 days, Thursday and Friday, leaving on Saturday evening JetBlue has a flight leaving at 7:30pm, so we will have all day at the parks. I think we are going to stay at Saratoga Springs, and have dinner one night in Canada.

Good morning everyone - happy Saturday!

Mark and I are going to spend the day out shopping and eating out. A treat for us! The laundry etc. will wait until tomorrow. :)

As for after the cruise we are heading back to WDW for 2 days. We have a Boardwalk one bedroom booked for Thursday and Friday. We'll hit the road early Saturday morning for our drive home.

Have a great day everyone!

Lucky you for the flights. That is great! We got lucky for our June trip for $99 one way flights, so basically $200 per person round trip. And from Des Moines, IA and a direct flight, that is pretty darn good. This will be the first time we have flown on Allegiant and are looking forward to it. The only thing is that it doesn't fly in to the Orlando airport but the Sanford one. So we have to rent a car since there is no Magical Express :sad1: . But that is fine with us. That way we can stop at a store and get some groceries and stuff. You know, I have to have my Pepsi in the morning. Not a big Coke drinker and since that is all Disney has, I have to get me some Pepsi before getting on Disney. :rolleyes1 And we will be staying at our home resort of Saratoga, which we love, in a two bedroom.

As for after the member cruise, which will just be me and the DH, we are staying at the Polynesian after the cruise until Sunday! I have always wanted to stay there since our honeymoon, and since my FIL passed away in 2008 and my BIL was diagnosed with brain cancer this January, my DH has started a bucket list and this is one of those places we have always wanted to stay and he said now is the time. So, I can't wait to try this place out!

Have a great day! :flower3:

Hmmm, I am going to have to check out Jet Blue. I still have a $400 credit from last year with them.

We went online last night and booked with JetBlue, 175 RT from Boston. I didn't Think that was too bad. We have to fly on Friday as it was a little cheaper than flying Sat. We will probably book at the Radisson again near the Port.

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday morning. It has been a pretty busy week for me so I had a lot of catching up to do. We are a chatty bunch.

Cathy, Courtney, & Wayne - Happy Belated Birthday! I hope each of you enjoyed your birthday.

Hey everybody!

I've been so out of the loop for the past couple of weeks I just completely lost track of stuff (and my DIS account is out of whack, too!).

I called DVC yesterday and we're now booked at BC for both the day before and two days after the cruise! Yay! It's the only DVC resort I haven't stayed at and I think the location will be perfect for everything we want to do. Now to think about where to have dinner....

Mary, so glad you've felt well enough to go back to work. I hope you continue to feel at least that well if not better. Congrats on booking the 2010 cruise, too.

Marsha, the pic of the 3 of you is adorable. We didn't see any of those photographers :sad2: . I've got to see if we have any photos worth posting ;) .

Joanne, I am glad that you are okay. I had been wondering if everything was okay with you since I hadn't seen any posts from you.

I am surprised you did not see any of the photographers. I was in the lobby almost every night taking pictures. Here is another one:

Hello All!

It's been months since my first post. I have occasionally checked back to read some of the posts but the last time I actually logged in was way back in November. How time flies!

We survived Christmas and hopefully have seen the last of winter here in NJ. It was 77 today!

This is the first cruise for my kids and I so planning is underway. How exciting!!

I am currently working on the passport applications for the kids and myself. I am also researching transportation to/from the port. Are there any updates on the party bus? Do you know the cost? (I tried to send a PM to BVCOwner2002 but I got a message that I had to have 10 posts to send a PM and I only had 4. So, I assume that message did not get delivered)

The kids and I have also been researching the Castaway Cay section on the DCL site. Lots of options. My son and I are hoping to go Parasailing. This will be a new adventure for both of us. Does anyone have any other suggestions for kids?

As for WDW, we arrive to BCV on 9/11 and then staying at BLT 9/17 - 9/20.

The kids (5 & 10) have actually planned out their dining plans for most of the WDW visit. I left it up to them. Now, we just have to wait to get them booked. This new 90 day booking window is going to drive me crazy. Can you tell we are a little PHANATICal about our planning?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when we get the cruise itinerary. Do we get the details of activities, shows, etc. prior to when we are able to book special activities/excursions?

For the kids clubs, do you have to sign up for specific times or can they come and go through out the day based on other activities we may have planned?

Well, I have lots more questions but it is getting late and I do not want to go on and on and on all in one post.

Any information you can provide is appreciated!

Welcome back! I still have to work on updating my passport and getting a passport for DS.

Baby update: DD had a little girl @ 3:51p.m. 8lbs I don't know how long yet.
This is my 5th DGC. I will most likley leave on Friday to help take care of the family. yet to be determined.

Congrats on the newest edition to your family!

The dance competition went very well. Courtney was on fire. I wish I could post some pictures, but I lost my camera on Monday before I got the weekend pics downloaded. It was very sad for me. The camera itself was expensive, but those pictures are irreplaceable.

Courtney was one of five finalists for a ballet scholarship. They did an audition class over the weekened. There were about 200 kids in her age group and she was one of the top five. I was very proud of her. She didn't win, but the girl that beat her was amazing! I told Courtney that if she had to lose - that this girl deserved to win. Courtney agreed. She was also happy that she got callbacks for tap and jazz too (which are not her strongest disciplines....so another big accomplishment.)

Way to go, Courtney! (Sorry to hear about your camera.)

Hi all, we are back from WDW. Had a great time with all the drill team girls although at times challenging with 19 girls! Good news is they won the National Drill Team Championship and our now the National Champions for the small high school division. The girls were thrilled.

Congratulations to your drill team!

It is 6 months until we cruise!

I am getting more and more excited about the cruise as each day passes. We did make some decisions concerning the cruise. DH finally decided that we were going to drive down which I am thilled about. And, I booked a studio at Beach Club Villas the day before the cruise and a one-bedroom at AKV - Jambo House (Kidani was unavailable) for two days after the cruise.

Marsha,

Cute picture of your son. He looks like he was having fun.

We are big jetBlue fans, too, and booked last week when they finally updated their available booking dates. It was less than $400 r/t for 2, including the surcharge for the seats w/the larger space. We plan to stay at Beach Club one day before and two days after the cruise.

Marsha, thank you for asking. We're fine, there's just been a lot of family things going on and I've been doing a lot of babysitting, which involves a 10-mo who crawls all over and doesn't let me do stuff like post. I know you remember what that's like! That pic of your little guy is priceless...so cute! We'll be at BC w/you the first night...yay! Now we're trying to decide where to have dinner that night after the meet. Any suggestions or recommendations, anyone?

My darling DH says a big "thank you" to everyone for their birthday wishes. I think he's amazed at the response from all of my DIS friends; I told him that's one of the reasons I love the DIS :lovestruc .

Dianne, big congrats on the baby granddaughter (got 2 of those, too). Enjoy the week and that sweet baby. Oh, and be safe.

Hooray for Courtney, but what a tragedy about the photos. Is there any chance one of the other parents might have copies you could get?

Dianne,

I remember you saying that, but sometimes I have old timers and forget and I did not want to do that.
