Flo - thanks for the good wishes for the family. Becca was feeling pretty poor this morning. I stuffed some medicine down her and hope she feels better by tomorrow because she is one of the strongest singers for her show choir. And she has to go!

I don't blame you for hating sitting around. A little while would be fine but long term, it would start to stink. So my fingers are crossed for you.

Between my DH and DS being sick we had to go to the store and get more medicine.

Yes, it is getting old I have been out since the end of October.

I hope the weather misses you guys in Illinois for the most part. But it doesn't sound like it is going to. We are only supposed to get flurries out of that system today. Maybe an inch or two. But I see from Eastern Iowa into Illinois that there is a winter storm warning. Bummer. Can't winter just be over with already. I'm so sick of the snow and cold. I'm ready for green grass and flowers!

It is funny we are getting the snow this time and you are getting the flurries. I can take a couple of inches but they are now saying 6 to 8. That I don't like.

Flo and Mary: Can you guys post some pictures of your scrapbooks? I would love to see them.

I will take some pictures this weekend and post.

Called and canceled our May trip yesterday. Sad, but really for the best.

Talked to Mike about our May trip and we're still going. We used DVC points, so that's $95 right there, plus then the points become reservation points. Mike already has the time off.
But I think it'll be a school/fun trip. The kids will have to do some school work in the mornings (or parks in the mornings, school in the afternoons)
Plus we'll probably stop home every few days so we don't have to have anyone come check on the cat.
We will truly miss you though.

Flo - Good luck on the interview!! Let us know how it goes. Thanks for posting the incentives, Flo. I would love to add on again, but I'm not a big fan of BLT. I'm holding out for Hawaii.....maybe they'll start offering that on the cruise!

Mary - I want to go to the Doorway to Dreams event, but I registered too late I was waiting to see what times Courtney had rehearsal over the weekend and by the time I went to register it was all booked up. I called the store and they said they were actually over booked for all events but if I wanted to go to the store and wait to see if there were no-shows - I could do that. I'm not sure its worth it since its about an hour and a half from me though. I've been to all of their events except the grand opening, so I'm bummed I'm missing out on this one. If I do go, it will be Sunday night....we'll see.

I didn't get these done yesterday but did get them finished up with morning. Please welcome the following families:

Mike (aka miker1251) says he's mostly a lurker and reader. Hey Mike we don't bite - come post with us and let us get to know you! Mike will be sharing one room with his two grandsons Grant & Ethan. In an adjoining room with be his step daughter Shiloh and her DH Patrick. What a great looking family. Welcome aboard Mike!

Ellen (ehagerty) and her DH Tom will also be joining us. They were with us on the 2008 Member Cruise. Ellen is an accomplished photographer and they are both very sweet people. They are currently listed as late seating but are hoping to get early.

Sorry to hear you are missing out. They do tend to book quickly. We're holding out on adding on until they offer Hawaii as well.

Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

Kelly - great news about Courtney getting her bigger cast off. I'm sure those two weeks she needs the wrist cast on will go by quickly and she'll be cast free!

Flo - have fun at the Doorway to Dreams event. Kelly are you going too? We enjoyed the one we went to when it first opened but haven't been to one since (except the small DIS meet where Flo and I met). Interesting that they have Mary Poppins tickets as one of the incentives. We aren't in the market to add on, but we do have tickets for Mary Poppins. Really looking forward to seeing that on Stage. Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) was on last years Member Cruise and I really enjoyed her performance!

No big plans for us this weekend. Of course with the snow Mark may have to go plow. I'm going to try and get out to the grocery store with him this week. I drove for the first time by myself yesterday. Went to the doctor for a blood check and then to the pharmacy. It wasn't a long drive but it felt good to be able to do it.

Yes, I would. It is working with numbers and I love that. I would be inputting receipts, giftcards, etc and make sure they balance, and if not I would have to figure out why. That I love to do.
