Have fun today Flo! I wish I were going. I can't wait to here all about it. Then maybe I'll decide if I should make the drive down and hope for no-shows tomorrow.

I thought you guys were supposed to get more snow than us? But it looks like we have more than two inches out there and its still coming down pretty good. I'm about done with winter. I need me some Florida sunshine!

Kelly,

Yes, I will post when I get back.

I am now tired. I just got in from snow blowing the drive so we could go to Door Way of Dreams. WIth my DH and DS being sick they can't do it. My fingers are still a little numb.

Now I have to get read yt ogo.

See you all later

He Everyone!

We got back for Doorway to Dreams presentation about 12:30. It was fun and different this time then any other. Instead of getting a bag at the end the gave it out through the presentation.

You walked in got something to drink then went and sat down. They gave us little things that looked like remotes. It was interactive. They asked us questions and we pressed a button then they put it up on the screen. That was fun. Dave, Joan and one other lady were the ones doing the presentation.

Dee was not there this time. They had some one call Mr. Wish. Not sure if I like him or Dee!

The incentives were the same as I posted earlier. No down payment and you were guaranteed to get it because you were previous owners. What the did with the $5.00 per point discount was use that as your down payment.

If we had the money I would have done it this time. But then again the benefits may be better on the member cruise. I don’t know we will have to see this September.

I am posting pictures. I will do in three separate one. One of the presentation; the gifts we got and others.

Oh you can also now buy into SSR because of the treehouses being put up.

Kelly or any one else if you have any questions just ask...

Here's the deals:

All points are $112 - $5 = $107. Everything was, of course, BLT.
No closing costs.
If you finance, first payment isn't due until May.
Minimum Purchase 100 points.
No Developer points.

If you buy 100 points you get a 3 day cruise for 4. I wrote down 3 day, but I think it might have been 3 night. Also you get 2 tickets to Mary Poppins which is opening in Chicago next month.

If you buy 160 points you get a 4 night cruise for 4 plus 7 night 2 bedroom RCI exchange, plus 2 Mary Poppins tickets

If you buy 200 points you get a 7 night cruise for 4, 7 night 2 bedroom RCI exchange, plus 4 Mary Poppins tickets.

If you buy 270 points you get an Adventurers by Disney trip. I think it is for 2, but I didn't write that down. You also get a 7 night 2 bedroom RCI exchange and 4 Mary Poppins tickets.

They showed BLT but they said (I think) you could add onto Animal Kingdom and SSR.

Sorry but some of the pictures I will be posting will be sort of dark. They did not have it bright in there.

At the end they had what they called a Dance party. They even had a DJ. They had all kind of deserts, they made crapes to. They had Mickey reice crispies ( I love them), cookies and fruit. That was nice.

The characters they had were Mickey and Minnie; Aladdin and Tink.

Below is what we received at the event.

The below is a pasport holder and 2 luggage tage.

Looks like it was a fun time. :)

Mr. Wish looks like Liberace's cousin twice removed. :lmao:

P.S. We got about 5 inches here.

5 inches? I guess that I will be getting more snow tomorrow.

It sound like you had a great time at the Doorway to dreams. I wish that there was one near here. The one that they are building in NY will be at the wrong location for me. It will be on Long Island which I think is just too much of a pain to get to.

Thanks for posting all the info Flo.

Was it really crowded? They said they over-booked the event when I called on the phone. And the event last August was REALLY packed when I was there. Some people had to stand. But there may have been a lot of no-shows because of the snow.

I'm considering driving down. I need a Disney fix. And I just love me some free stuff!

I may call again in the morning tomorrow to see if they've had cancellations. I would love to hear how that Hawaii resort is shaping up. I can't wait for that!

Robbie,

You could make it a long weekend in NY and stay at one for the RCI resorts?
Then go see a play to.

Kelly,

It had allot of people but I don't think it was that bad. You know how they have the tables for 4 when you walk in on the second level. They had some seats open there. There were only two people sitting in the back in the bouth part. I would say there wer emaybe 20 empy seats.

The Hawaii resort looks beautiful. When you walk out of it they have a pond in front of it.

I really liked the DVC gifts this time.

Besides if you come I can not see Disney turning you away. Are you thinnking of adding on?

I woind if Hawaii will be available on the SSMC09 cruise?

Take care

Wow Flo - looks lilke you had a great time today. Your DVC Gifts were pretty cool. We would love to be able to get a Disney fix by going there but it is too far away for us to make it. I just live through these boards for now.

However, we are starting to make plans for our dining reservations in June. We are getting close to our 90 day mark so we have to get things lined up so we are ready when it is time to call.

How are the incentives on the Cruise to purchase more points? Are they better then normal one's? Just woundering!

Thanks

We found it much more enticing aboard the ship. We ended up with a free members cruise, $400 on board credit, a large special Mickey sculpture designed by Ducky Williams and a decent discount off the current points prices. Hope that helps.

Dave,

Thanks! That is what I wanted to know. Sounds good.

Here is a breakdown of the incentives on last years cruise:

Just back from the DVC meeting on the Member Cruise. This is the sales portion of the cruise and usually has good incentives and some nice raffle prizes as well. This year was no exception. The incentives listed below are ONLY available to those sailing on this cruise and you must add while on the cruise. They said over 50 families have already added on and were in line when they opened the clubhouse yesterday.

Here are the incentives:

BLT points good until 2060, AKL points good until 2057. Base incentives for booking - $5 per point off of Bay Lake Towers (which is selling for $112 per point before this reduction) or $8 per point off of Animal Kingdom Lodge (which is selling for $104 per point before the production. This is good for adding on anything over 120 points.

For 120 point in addition to the above you get a special Mickey Big Fig Statue and a 4 night stay in the new Treehouse Villas before booking opens to the general public.

For 200 point add on you get a 5 night stay Savannah view at AKL in a 2 bedroom, fast passes good for your whole family for the length of stay and $250 visa gift card or $250 shipboard credit on this cruise.

For 270 point add on you get either a 7 night stay in a Magic Kingdom 2 bedroom at BLT (with fast passes), or if you don’t want to wait until BLT opens a 4 night stay in the Contemporary Tower, or a Cat 6 stateroom for 2 on next years Member Cruise to be held 9/13/09. This comes with a $300 visa card or shipboard credit.

For 360 points you get the special ABD Backstage Member Exclusive Tour on May 12,2009 for 2, or any one of 10 other ABD trips. This comes with a $400 visa card or shipboard credit.

For 500 points there is a 7 night stay at the Grand Wailea in Maui in an ocean view room, or the exclusive Member ABD trip to Italy on 7/20/09 or any ABD for 2. This comes with a $750 visa credit or shipboard credit.

As for the raffle prizes here is what was given away:

1) Castaway Cay Stingray Adventure
2) Wine & Cheese delivered to your stateroom and a rainforest pass for the length of the cruise.
3) $200 shipboard credit
4) Wine package for your dinner table and a bottle of the Captains special reserve.
5) A Massage on Castaway Cay
6) 7 night trade out via II

For the person who won the trade out (the last one given out) their whole row got a private photo shoot with Mickey and Friends.

Mary,

Thanks! All I can say is wow! THey are great!

No all I have to do is figure out how to get my DS's name on it with my Husband or me since he will not be on the cruise. He is an associate with us but we would like him to have a contract with his name.

I may have to call are guide and even see if this can be done.

Have a good evening?

How are you feeling?:wizard:
