09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday!

I don't have a time for the surgery yet. I think it is supposed to be 9 am but the doctor said the hospital would call us today with final details on when we need to be there etc.

Today is a day of clear liquids and another night of drinking the prep - yuck!

Got a chance to talk to the president of my company yesterday and also to my client so that is over with. Now I just have to tie up a few more things at work.

I'm very happy that Mark's brother has offered to come and be with him tomorrow.

Glad Mark will have someone with him during surgery. It makes it a little easier.

COOL!!! I saw Kelly's BD is the day after mine...I am 2/27 and she is 2/28! Must be why we have some same interests!

I am a little worried that all I could get was an inside room on our cruise. I can't even remember where it is...I have to start searching for that darn reservation. DH says he needs at least a window....but our last 2 cruises, he never went onto our veranda. We were really fortunate and were assigned to this HUGE handicapped room with the biggest verdanda...you could have put 30 people on there but it was so hot we never went out on it. Then it was so cold in Dec we never went on the other veranda we had. I figured with 2 trips to Castaway Cay we wouldn't be in the room much at all...and I want to see everyone possible who appears on our trip. I am so so excited about that.

I've only ever had a cat five with a veranda, so I was a little worried. But with all the fun folks on the ship with us and those two stops in CC we should be just fine! I had two stops at CC for our cruise last Sept and it was AWESOME!

I figure if the room gets too claustrophobic for me I'll just sleep in one of the comfy chairs up on Deck 4.

How did work go for you? Weren't you supposed to go back yesterday? I hope all is well.

I will let you know for sure! I probably won't reserve anything until next weekend though - just to be safe. The rehearsal schedule should be out by then.

Now, we did get a navigator's veranda for the 14-day transatlantic 'cause I didn't think I'd care for 2 weeks w/o a view .

Glad to see I won't be down in the dungeon alone! I was just happy to get something booked for this Member's Cruise. Its my first one and I was so nervous that first day of booking that I wouldn't get in. So I won't complain about my inside stateroom.

I have a veranda on the Transatlantic too. No way I would last 14 days without it! Its so cool that we'll both be on both those cruises!

Now we just have to hope that NEXT years Member's Cruise doesn't conflict with the Transatlantic!

We have Late Dining too. I actually prefer it to the Main Seating.

We always eat early in "real life", but it seems that our whole schedule changes when we cruise. And getting ready for dinner by 5:30pm is just a hassle. The Late Dining seems much more laid back and "vacationy" to me. (Bonus points for making up a new word )

So we'll see you there!
