Good Morning all...

Well we got about a foot of snow and another storm coming on Sunday.

It about 19 degrees and I can hear the snow plows coming by.

It kind of funny to be on a Cruise Board when the weather is like this... makes me yearn for the cruise all the more.

Gee, you must be in New England too! I was listening to Boston News this morning and the weather dude said that it had been snowing in Boston for 40 hours! Ok, most of it was a light snow, but gee, will we get a break?

Good Morning everyone! So glad to have the computer back up and working at home!

I know it has been a while since my last post and I have been trying to keep up. But on Thursday night while I was trying to post my sister called and said that our Grandma was not doing well and we had to head to town right then. It was starting to rain/ice when we left home and we were to be getting 6-8 inches of snow through the night. Well, we spent the night at the hospital, and Grandma pulled through. She is 88 years old and doesn't even remember what happened to her that night. But, it doesn't look good. I just hope she stays around through the Holiday Season. I told my sister that I can't start the year losing a loved one, my father-in-law, and end the year with losing Grandma. I'm still having trouble with the father-in-law loss. He was the best!

Sorry to be depressing, but I guess I need to get it out. Thanks for listening.

Well, the weather is going to stink here this weekend. We have so many advisories around the state for this weekend. From Winter Weather Advisories to Blizzard Warnings. For us we are under a Blizzard Watch. Wind Chill's are to be -20 to -30 below and tomorrows highs are not to be above zero. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

We still have to try and get the girls to see Santa for our picture Nothing like waiting till the last minute. And with the weather, we may miss it this year. But I hope not.

This has been a long day. We went out this morning to look at German Shepard puppies ( I thought). Guess what we now have? He is soooo cute. We named him Bolt. My other dog does not know what to think of him. When we download the pictures I will post one.
When we got back from there we had a Christmas party to go to. Now I am just sitting here on my computer and chilling.
I told my family we are nuts to be out in this weather. It is 6 below iwth a wind chill of 23 below.

Here is the new addition to are family. He is 8 weeks old. He is going to be a big boy. They said about 150lbs. This is my DS Christmas Presnet to himself.

OMG, is he cute! One of my DDs has a German Shepherd. He's a big boy too. I've got a 25 lb. mixed breed who's part spaniel. She's a great dog .

Mary, thanks for the countdown update. That cruise really sounds good now, especially w/all the bad weather that's been happening all over. I pray everyone stays warm and safe.

Flo - what a cute puppy! You'll have fun with him.

Well, on the way to work this morning the car said it was -18. It is cold. We might get into the single digits later today and warm up by Christmas Eve into the 20's But they are calling for more snow for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The only good thing is we will have a White Christmas! But it can all melt away the day after as far as I'm concerned. Winter can be over then.
Don't I wish!

Flo...Bolt is sooooooo cute!!!! I love German Shepherds --we have 2 (male & female) plus we have 2 yorkshire terriers. Looking at his picture--Bolt is the perfect name

Today is really the first cold day....it's 19 degrees and very windy. At least the sun is out--that helps alot!!!

Hope everyone had a good day. I had a nice quiet one. I had thoughts of going out to just roam a mall something I really haven't done in a long time (the day I was at Woodfield I really only went to 2 stores). I did go out to the grocery store to pick up a few things and just didn't feel like staying out in the cold so I had a nice quiet day at home.

This is going to be a real quiet Christmas for us which is not a bad thing. We've long since give up on Christmas gifts except for small ones for co-workers etc. Our gift to each other this year was a new TV for the family room which we got a couple of weeks ago.

I'm looking forward to a peaceful Christmas day. Early morning Mass, a nice breakfast, watching the WDW Christmas parade and then a nice turkey dinner.

Hard to believe that one short week after that we'll be welcoming a new year. The best this about that is that we'll then be able to say "we cruise this year!"

Thanks to all for the good wishes for my Grandma. She is still hanging in there but not doing the best. I hope she makes it through the Holiday season.

Well it is so cold here. But by Friday we are supposed to be above freezing.

We are ready for Christmas here. Just have to make the food for Christmas eve and day. We are supposed to be going to my DH's sisters for Christmas eve which I need to make a cheese ball for, and my sisters on Christmas day making baked beans, vegetable casserole, and cheesecake. My youngest DD, who is 12, is so excited for Christmas this year. She can't wait. We have a candy count down calendar and she is always checking the days this year to make sure she is right on and knows how many more days it is till Christmas. I just hope she goes to sleep this year and stays there, if ya know what I mean.

I totally agree with you Mary. Enough is Enough! But I am sad to say I do not think this is going to happen. I think is going to be a very long winter. Maybe like the saying goes. It came in like a lion so just maybe it will go out like a lamb.

I have to go out today for some supplies to make appetizers for Christmas Eve and Christmas. So I think I would rather the snow then the bitter cold. When I get back I will wrap the last of the present that I have. This is the first year in many years that we will go out on Christmas. I like to just put a ham in the oven and stay home.

Wow, we are supposed to be in the 20's today! Yippeeeeee. Had a couple more inches of snow overnight with flurries today and more measurable snow tonight through tomorrow morning. It's definitely going to be a White Christmas this year.
