Freeze warnings just north of us! Like around Ocala. Brrrrrr.

I'm sure my heater will kick on tonight. I can only hope it doesn't set off the smoke detectors like it did the other night!

It's cold here too! When it gets like this, I start to wonder why I'm staying in the Northeast! i hate winter!! Annmarie

Annmarie,

I agree with you about the cold weather. That is why me and my DH said that when we retire we are moving close to WDW. That is not to far away. He has been looking at houses out there already.

I sure hope you were up when the smoke detectors went off. That would be terrible to wake up to.:)

:scared1: That would make me nervous! We had that happen to our house alarm one night and DH finally disconnected it after checking the entire house and perimeter. Luckily, all it ended up being was a lose wire on the siren outside the house.

My smoke detecor kept beeping about every minute or so one starting at 3:00a.m. Talk about one unhappy person when it was time for me to get up. Of course DH slept right through it despite all my nudging. The next day he changed the batteries due to my complaining.

Yeah, that's what we said too. And then every single thing just fell into place perfectly for us to make the move recently. Well, everything except for moving 1000 miles away from my parents.

Let me know if you need any help finding areas or anything. :)

*I* was. Dh was in the shower. The worst part was we had overnight guests who had to get up at 4:00 to go to the airport. The smoke detectors going off at midnight didn't help them get a good night's sleep.

It's really a crazy story. I need to blog it. :)

:lmao: Isn't that always the case? DH sleeps through everything too. I'll hear something during the night and will wake him up and say, "Did you hear that?" Of course he says no and I'll shush him to be quiet and he still can't hear anything then rolls over and goes back to sleep! Meanwhile, I'm awake for the rest of the night!

Now, DH says I should just look at the cat. If she is still asleep and not listening or running to see where the noise is coming from we're fine! I hate to say it but some nights I don't know which one of them snores louder and he wants me to rely on the cat! :rotfl2:

:lmao: Oh! Don't get me started on the snoring. I used to need earplugs but now I have gotten use to it or I am losing my hearing from him snoring in my ear. I still haven't figured out which one it is.

We've been looking for years. I thought we were moving for certain in 2004 when DS was looking at colleges in Florida the year before. Then he decided he wanted to go to Philly instead so we thought we might as well stay here. Now he graduated this year and is staying in the Philly area so we still have the thought of moving.

Yeah, that's what we said too. And then every single thing just fell into place perfectly for us to make the move recently. Well, everything except for moving 1000 miles away from my parents.

Thanks so much for the offer. We were looking at 2 different areas. Bradenton/Saratoga or Claremont and have friends in both Safety Harbor (West Coast) and Coco (East Coast).

EDIT: I just noticed I'm getting close to 4,000 posts!

Hey my DIS Friends! Check out the below. I was playing on the DIS and found this article. Should be interesting on the ship.

Disney Cruise Ships movies going high-tech
Nov 14, 2008

Disney Cruise Line is introducing Disney Digital 3-D movie technology onboard both the Disney Wonder and Magic. Both the Buena Vista Theaters and Walt Disney Theaters will be enhanced.

The Disney Wonder will be the first to debut 3-D movies on November 20 when it features a midnight viewing of Disney's latest animated film "Bolt." Characters from Bolt will also be appearing at this movie premiere. The Disney Magic will introduce 3-D on December 6.

In 2009, stage lighting, streamers, fog and lasers will be added in the Disney cruise ship's theaters. It will be part of a once per cruise screening of a 3-D movie with special effects.

Tom McAlpin, president of Disney Cruise Line, stated "With Disney Digital 3-D we can provide extraordinary cinematic experiences for our guests that no other cruise line can offer."

Wow this sounds so cool! I can't wait to see a movie on the cruise! :dance3:

We've done Palo brunch on our last two Member Cruises and really enjoyed it. There usually is something going on at the same time, but having said that it usually is something repeated later in the day. If we get on board and find that something is going on that we wouldn't want to miss we'd cancel Palo.

We haven't done Palo dinner for a number of cruises now as I like eating with our tablemates in the regular rotation. Others love Palo dinner and wouldn't miss it so it is up to each family.

For those of you that have done a Palo brunch on the member cruise, which day do you normally do it? The day at sea?

Just checking in....

I see alot of new names for this cruise vs the last 2 years. Welcome aboard all.

I decided that this will be my annual tradition, GOD willing.

So I have been on the last 2 and this year will be my third.

I am making less but longer trips to wdw, next trip in May. Of course I say that but one of my 19 year twins got accepted to the Disney College Program and is going down in Jan.... maybe I will have top bring him down to make sure he gets there alright :) .

Imagine being a lifeguard at Disney at 19 !!!! Wow He is living my Dream Job!!!

Anyways Hello all ... I will be talking to you !

Your son must be so excited! :cheer2:

Don't think you could talk me into living on the coast with the hurricanes. Insurance is sky high there.....if you can get it to begin with. No, I like being a little more inland. Clermont is sort of close to us. We're just north of the Magic Kingdom. Close enough to see MK fireworks from the house, yet it's surprisingly undeveloped back here. Won't be for long though.

We've had Palo brunch only once on SSMC06 and did it on the day at sea. We will definitely do it again. It was nice to do something special for brunch. Annmarie

I tend to agree with you about living on the coast. Now, if I could only find a job! I've actually applied for 2 positions with DVC but understand it is very difficult to get in. I heard people who already work there get priority (as expected).

That sounds like an excellent idea!
We also like it because it breaks up the day at sea (even though there are plenty of activities going on throughout the day.

We did a Palo dinner during our Land & Sea Honeymoon. I definitely want to do Palo again. This time, however, I would like to be able to enjoy the view. It was dinner time and totally dark when we dined at Palo the last time.
