Hi all! Planning on the 2009 SSMC! I don't know my stateroom number, don't know any details yet, except I know I have a Cat. 7 with a navigator's verandah and it will be me, Linda, and I'll be bringing someone along, but don't know who quite yet!

Okay, auditors coming soon, back to work. I'll check in periodically.

P.S. Mentioned to Mary I'd be more than happy to do the mini nav's again.

:welcome:to the party: . Glad you could join us.

Linda, I will let you know before the cruise who is doing the fisth extenders for the cruise so you can put in the mini nav's or if it is easier I can print and just insert the paper in there? Just let me knwo the size.

Thanks for doing the mini nav's again.

Sorry to hear you won't be joining us Tamika, but I know you'll be with us in spirit!

Linda - so happy you are joining us and doing the mini nav's for us. I'll add something to the first post about it later today. For those of you who don't know Linda has done a mini DIS navigator for us for the past couple of cruises. It includes peoples names and room numbers, our deck plans (which I haven't put up on the website yet) as well as who is participating in the fish extender exchange. It is a handy thing to have to connect with your fellow DISers and also makes a great addition to your scrapbook if you are into that as both Linda and I are.

I guess better late then never...My wife and I will be on the S.S. Member Cruise 2009. We joined while on our second cruise by buying in to Animal Kingdom Villas. I called in on the phone lines and was on hold for 1 hour 45 min. to get aboard the ship. we are looking forward to enjoying our next 50 years with the DVC...to everyone else...Welcome Home!

Question for DVC members that have done past DVC cruises.

Did they give castaway club cruise gifts to previous cruises? If they did were they themed around the cruise.;)

Thanks

Hi Flo, :wave2:

They did give Castaway Club gifts, but they were not "theme" related. Just like a duffle bag and a water bottle I believe.

:welcome: It is better late than never. This thread is full of helpful advice and friendly people. My Dh & I brought into AKV in Feb. 2008. We have our first trip home in Feb 2009 and this will be our first members cruise, of course.

So I asked this on last years thread and got a few people. Anyone here on Facebook? If so and you'd like to be a friend I'm Mary Gums on facebook. BTW did you know that there is an official DIS facebook page?

I did not know that. I just recently joined facebook. When I log in again I will look you up.

Hello!!

Glad you guys were able to get on.

Thanks! DH doesn't like it when I'm up all night but I have saved this thread to my iphone so I can be online while he is sleeping.

I had PT today and go back to see the Neurologist tomorrow. Then I go back in 10 days for more tests. Like I tell people I work with . . . A month ago I was in a wheelchair and 3 weeks ago I started using a cane to get around. Then the following week I was able to wear shoes instead of sneakers these have been a lot of baby steps. Every step forward is one less I want to go back.

I posted a terrible issue I had while in my wheel hair wheb we were at WDW on the DISabilities board i cant believe how terrible some people can be.

Seems like you are making progress. I pray that you will continue to move forward. Keep following the doctor's orders.

Hi everyone! I got back last night from my long weekend in WDW. We had an awesome time! My sister and her kids really liked AKV. It was great opening the door to the room for the first time and seeing them running around checking every thing out.

Hi!

If any one would like link there dinning together please let me know. You can e mail to me at girlwolf@excite.com or PM them to me. Below is the information I will need for ALL involved (regardless of age). I will need this info no later then the end of July 2009. I know there is some time, but I just wanted to let everyone know.

1) Legal name of Each guest in the stateroom or staterooms
2) Stateroom
3) Age of each guest (at time of cruise) I need this per the form I need to fill out for DCL.
4) Early or Late seating
5) Who you would like them to be linked to.

Each Waiter can accommodate 18 guests. The tables for each station are 8, 6 and 4.

So, do most people end up linking their dining?

Welcome aboard Ralph! I see you've already been directed to the first post so you know all that is happening!

Mark and I just got back from a wonderful weekend in Galena, IL. We are big Irish music fans and go to a celebration each summer in Milwaukee, WI called Irish Fest. Well one of your favorite groups was playing in Galena this weekend at a pub that is attached to this nice boutique hotel called The Irish Cottage. We went up Friday morning and went to their shows on both Friday night and last night. Saturday during the day we went shopping in downtown Galena which is a quaint little town full of antique and other eclectic shops. It was a nice little getaway for both of us and just what we needed. So if I wasn't around much you now know why. :)

Me too! I love Irish folk music. It has been a long time since I attended an Irish festival but I should find one again so that I can hear some newer bands.

Chris - we've only been to Raglan Road once right after it opened. We'll have to try it again some time.

Raglan Road is awesome! Get your reservation for 8 or 8:30 so that you can enjoy the entertainment. Yes, the service can be slow but the food and the entertainment are awesome!

Donald is #1

Welcom back. Sounds like you had a wounderful time. Post pictures if you have them.

Linked dinning: That is up to you. I am going to do it so that I kind of know who I am going to sit with. It will be a DIS person. So far I have 3 dinning res. to link.:) You have some time to think about it to.

If I am correct this has been done on the other DVC cruises.

Hope this helps.
