Hello my fellow DVC (DIS) Member cruises.

I was tired of waiting for the official SSS09 member cruise site to say 2009 so I sent DVC an e mail. Below is there response. Just wanted to let everyone know.

We appreciate that you brought this to our attention. We have spoken
with our Marketing Department about this issue. Apparently, they are
having problems updating the web site. They are hoping to have it

Hello fellow DVC Mousketeer Cruisers,

My wife and I are very excited to see that other DISers will be sailing! Our very first Disney cruise was in May 2008 on the Westbound Panama Canal Cruise, where we met many new DIS friends as part of the Ship of Thieves. We are so happy that another group is getting together for this cruise. We became DVC members on the Panama Canal cruise and our home resort is Saratoga Springs. We will be staying at SSR for the first time before and after the cruise. Being from Northern California, we have used our DVC points to stay at the Disneyland Grand Californian. We'll be there in a couple of weeks to see our first Candlelight Procession.

We plan to officially sign up to be a member of this DIS cruise group, but are a bit overwhelmed by the length of this thread and are concerned that we'll miss important group activity announcements. It is difficult to keep up!

We are really looking forward to enjoying a magical cruise with all of you and "meeting old friends for the first time"!

Hello fellow DVC Mousketeer Cruisers,

My wife and I are very excited to see that other DISers will be sailing! You don't have to - they give you one as a gift that night*. Which is why I don't see why more want to be a part of it. Why would I want a picture that I'm not in?


*we did have to buy it on the '03 cruise but it has been a gift every year since then.

The one in Niles is about a mile from my office. In fact when I go out walking at lunch (in the nicer weather) I often walk past it.
