Yes, they give you tip envelopes at the end of the cruise.

The little cards are vouchers that you give to your servers and room attendants....you give them the last night.

Take care....Monika:flower3:

Monika,

Thanks! I could not think of the word Vouchers.;)

I am kind of surprised it did sell out. Last year's didn't and this one is really in prime hurricane season.

So do any of you purchase Trip Insurance and have any of you purchased any insurance other than AIG offered by dvc

Beastly:

Yes, we usually by the trip insurance. One never knows what could happen. Also, since this is during hurricane season I want to make sure I have it just in case. I have checked out other in insurance but always seam to come back and use the one through Disney.

It is a good question though. Has any one used insurance other then the one through Disney?

Fish Extenders, I finally understand! They hang from the fish on the door!

Yes, they do.;) See why it is so much fun. :yay: What I do with mine is use a wire tie (like the ones you use to keep wires together) on the string and put that around the top of the Fish Extender. This way it does not walk away. I will bring extra ties.

Ok Ok Ok...I know we are a little late here, but YEAH we are booked. It only took 2 1/2 hours for Wayne on the phone. I got home from work at about 7:30 am CST and Wayne was nice enough to make me coffee and french toast for breakfast so I could stay awake. We stayed up and all the phones were dialing. Little did I know we couldn't dial 1800 numbers from our cell phones.
Wayne had his, so I used the house phone. Finally got a ring after about 45 minutes. I handed Wayne the phon and went to bed. Little did I know he didn't get off the phone with DVC until almost noon. We got both of our rooms on the 2nd floor this time. =( Really loved the 7th, but atleast we got on the ship. Funny thing is that once they confirmed the booking....the house cordless went dead. =) Atleast we are booked!
The second time around should be so much more fun than the first. We really know what to expect. Now its time to decide if we are going to use the 5 days a AKL before we sail, or save it til next year. I'm hoping to do Hawaii next year, but not sure if the $$ will be there.

Please go to the first post. Mary has added the information about the bus and what I need to know. Thanks! I can tell you it was a lot of fun for SSMC06.

:lmao: I was wondering why they were called fish extenders too until I got on the ship in 2005. I didn't participate but then understood what it was all about.

We did participate on our October 5, 2008 cruise and although I was in a wheelchair it was a lot of fun. It seemed like every day or evening there was something new in the extender. I felt bad for DH since I was in a wheelchair, he had to push me around the ship making the deliveries. Luckily, there were only about 12 rooms participating in this so it wasn't as bad as it could've been.

Wow you all have been busy, busy, busy!

I'm in 3 days of all day training (including going out to lunch) so very little computer time for me.

Happy to see others joining in and all the questions and answers going around. To say I'm excited about this group would be an understatement!

Sorry that training will get in the way of you DISing! :lmao: I agree with you about this thread we already have a good group of people :thumbsup2 that can only grow over the months! Annmarie

We haven't had the chance to join in on the fish extender fun but would like to this year. One question about that, what types of surprises have been found in your FE's?

A wide variety of items....from temporary pirate tatoos to mini baseball bats....regional items such as jams, jellies.
We're from Delaware....on the 2008 Members Cruise our goodie bag that we gave out included: salt water taffy made at the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware boardwalk, a Delaware postcard, Disney stickers and a Delaware pin.
It's a lot of fun. Going to your stateroom and finding goodies in your fish extender.....it's fun!!!!!!!

Take care.....Monika:flower3:

Mary,

Since I am out of work right now I am so used to going on when I want. It is going to be hard when I find a job. But then that is ok. More money to spend on the cruise.

P.S. Good luck with the training.
