Hope everyone's having a good day, here's your update.

I had a good visit with Mary at lunch. But she's bored.

So, you can tell how better she is. She was told by her doctor the only reason they're keeping her in at this point is for one of the medications. She's on a product called Coumadin which suppresses blood clotting and they have to get the dosage right, too little and it won't provide any clot protection, too much and open wounds won't stop bleeding. As of right now the blood tests are not showing high enough levels, so, we wait.

Thank you for posting about Mary All over. You have been great keeping us informed. It is much appreciated.

I am so happy she is boared because this is a good sign. Also, hope the get the Coumadin under control soon so she can come home an rest in the confort of her own home. You will be able to rest to.

Today was the first day back to work , Nancy's mom got sent to the hospital she has been ill since Nancy's dad passed away and she is dehydrated.

Its been a hell of a month ... cant wait till its over... I think winter just makes it all the worst,

Cant wait for the warmer days on castaway cay !

Bruce--hope Nancy's mom will recover soon. I'm sure it is very stressful for you both. Good wishes are being sent to you both for a better ending to the month.

Courtney is doing well. Thanks for asking, Flo.

She says that pain is about the same - not better and not worse. So I'm not sure what that means. She has an appointment with the specialist tomorrow morning so I will know more then.

Kelly - Hopefully it will be nothing serious. Good luck to Courtney for good news. (And mom too!)

Its great to hear the Mary is getting bored. That is always a good sign.

Mary, my mother was on Coumadin and if they can regulate it while you are in the hospital, that is so much better. When she first went on it, she would have to go to the doctor's multiple times a week to get her blood tested so that they could stabilize the dosage.

Happy Tuesday!!!! We are to get up into the 60's today Which is very unusual for this time of year. But cooler weather is expected by later in the week. But, I will take what I can get when I can get it!

The good news is I'm home! Feels good to be in real clothes instead of a hospital gown. I've got Lovenox shots I need to give myself for the next 2 days and then go get tested on Thursday to see where the coumadin level is and what adjustment is needed. Dr. said I will be on it for about 6 months.

Bad news is the path report came back and some lymph nodes had cancer so chemo is in my future. Not what we were hoping to hear and it has us both a bit down which is why we haven't posted until now. So another challenge to face but we'll face it.

All your thoughts, prayers, etc. have really helped. Thank you all. I'm truly blessed to have so many caring about me.

Glad you are home! Resting at home will be much easier. And as you said in clothes instead of a gown.

So sorry about the path results hope all the treatments go well.

We are there with you and Mark. Will keep the thoughts, prayers and coming.
