09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Hope you have a good time with your nephew down at Disney. Sounds like fun.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Wow, where is everyone!! Please tell me that just because I finally got on Facebook that nobody is going to write on here anymore!! :lmao:

Thanks for everyone's support. It means the world to me!
Looks like I may need double the amount of camo by the end of the six months!:rotfl2:

lol... just start playing a couple of games on FB like many of us do and then you'll wonder where all your time goes. :rotfl2:

Sue - I hardly ever get on Facebook any more. I don't know why. Just don't. I like being on here better for some reason :confused3. So I guess I'm missing the boat over there. :rolleyes1

Hope everything is going good for you and everybody else. Seems like we are drifting away from here and that is :sad1:. I just keep hoping that we can all hook up again on the 2011 members cruise!

Totally understand Chris, but I'm just the opposite. I find myself spending much more time over than there over here. I guess, for me, it is because I have the best of both worlds there. I've got my Disney friends (most of which I've met through the DIS), but I also have other friends from school, old jobs, etc. that I now get to keep in contact with as well.

I'm still on the DIS just about every day but not for as long as I used to be.

That doesn't mean I don't think of you all often and hope that we all can sail again together either in 2011 or somewhere in the future.

Hi, I have not had much energy lately,

But I am back, need a touch of Disney magic

Dave congrats on your game!

Sue sorry I wasn't here when you needed me, I think I have been getting a little depressed. Glad to hear it appears to be OK but here is a little :wizard::wizard:anyway,

Flo, how is the house, did not realize you got such bad weather.

DH is still without a job,,, A few more weels and it will have been a year, so unless something happens soon you all will be going to SSMC11 with out us.

Now for the good news, DS is taking us to TSO concert tomorrow. And my free Amtrack tickets to Chicago showed up yesterday,

Have a good weekend:love:

Dianne,

:wizard::wizard:for Michael. I know how it is. I was out 13 months. That is no fun at all. Prayers are being sent to him to.

By me it was the hale was the size of a quarter. But a mile away they did not get any hale at all. Like they say it can rain on one side of the street and not the other.

Have fun at the TSO concert.

Now that the tickets are there it makes it more real.:thumbsup2

take care

Like you, I am spending way more time over on FB than the DIS these days. I am probably on the DIS about every 2-3 days now. Of course to be honest, I probably spent so much time on the DIS plus 2 other boards last year, that I need a bit of a break.

Sue, Mary, Chris, Flo, Lisa, Robbie, Dianne and any other SSMC09 members :wave2:

Good morning everyone!

Had a wonderful weekend with a trip to the zoo on Saturday. Checking it out for when Dianne and Michael are in town. We're members but with everything going on last year never made it there. It was a really beautiful day.

Yesterday was spent around the house and again a beautiful (but cool) day. Now back to work.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Dave - happy to hear the campground is all set up. Enjoy!

Dianne - continued thoughts and prayers that Michael finds something soon. So happy your tickets came.

Morning greetings to all my deck 9 buddies. I'm drinking my tea but it just isn't the same without all of you around. :coffee:

Good Morning to all my Deck 9er's and friends!!

I like it better here too Chris!. I feel like I have a personal link to each of you instead of just everyone! Hope we can keep it going! Missed you - where have you been? Since you didn't get on Facebook, I'll try to give you the short version of why I'm so crazy these days - oldest son Bob has decided to volunteer with his job, the US Army Corps of Engineers, to go to Afghanistan for a six-month tour. As a mom, I'm both proud and scared to death! It's going to be a very looonnggg six months! Help!!!

Dave, glad you had a great weekend at the campground! Sounds like alot of fun. I taught an archery class on Saturday for a few hours, but it was very windy and cloudy here - not too nice.

Dianne, thanks for the support. So sorry to hear that you're feeling a little blue. And I really am sending thoughts and prayers for a job for hubby! :grouphug:

Flo, I know I'm going to be needing more and more camo!

Mary, sounds like you had a nice weekend as well. I love the Philadelphia Zoo. When the two older boys were young, I had an annual membership and we used to go all the time! They had some really great special programs for members! Haven't been for a while, but I really hope that you have a great time when Dianne comes for a visit. Flo's going to see her too, right? Wish we could be there too with all of you!

Joanne, where are you? hope you're still not having computer problems.

Lisa, school work must have you all tied up too. Hope all is well!

Happy Monday SSM09 Friends!:grouphug:

Dave - Sounds like a very relaxing weekend of fun.

Sue - Funny you talk about camo! I was thinking about you this past weekend when I went looking for some. I can't decide what kind I want to use. But yes I am sure yo uare going to need plenty I know I would. You are right as a mom you are so pround of them but also so scared.:grouphug: We are all proud of him.:thumbsup2

Lisa - How is school and sports going? I miss baseball so much that I was listening to my son's college play baseball on the computer yesterday.

Mary - You are right a little cool but still a nice weekend.

Chris - How is the weather in Iowa

take care
:surfweb:

Good Morning All! So glad to hear from you.

Sue - I don't blame you for being proud and scared at the same time. I couldn't even imagine one of the kids going off over there. I will say a prayer for him to remain safe while he is over there. How are your other boys handling it?

Dave - sounds like you are good to go for the summer. It is such fun to be able to camp with a group of people rather than by yourself. We have talked about getting out our camper but, with having a pool and stuff at home we like to hang out here. Plus we have a really old, crappy camper. But it does the trick when we need it.

Flo - we are having some really nice weather here. Highs in the low 70's and low's in the 40's. But the rains are supposed to come in this weekend. Seems like we have been having better weather during the week and icky weather on the weekends. But it will get better!

Dianne - glad your tickets came for your trip up to Chicago. Sounds like you guys will have fun. Also hope Michael finds something soon.

Mary - sounds like you had a very nice time at the Zoo. I like Zoo's but my family is not really big into them.

And everyone else, hope you are having a good Spring.

Take Care! :flower3:

Good Morning Everyone!! Happy Hump Day!

Hope all are having a good week. The weather here has cleared up from the weekend and I am preparing to leave for another Bowling Tournament in Vermont. I kinda wish I wasn't going to this one as I would love to stay and camp instead.

Anyone else with any plans for the upcoming weekend?

Chris-Even an old camper is better than NO camper... We just enjoy it so much.

Sue-We are still keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Dianne-You must be looking forward to your trip to Chicago, tickets just make it seem closer. I am glad you enjoyed TSO, we saw them at Christmas time out here.

Mary-Glad you had a good time at the zoo, we always went to the Detroit Zoo when i was younger. No real good local ones around us now.

Lisa-Hope everything for your class gets wrapped up soon and you can "enjoy" running the kids around a little easier. I get tired thinking about your schedule...

Flo-Hopefully that new job is still going well, and everything is good with you and your family.

Robbie-Must be finally warming up in NH. And I agree, some of those facebook games can kill some time...lol

Have a good rest of the week everyone!!

Dave, congrat's on getting the camp set up. I was definitely spoiled by the weather a few weeks ago. So this past weekend's cold rain seemed cruel. :lmao:

I have to admit, I haven't noticed this week's weather since the mornings have still been pretty cold. Of course, it hasn't helped that I was sick yesterday and didn't leave the house at all. All better now, but Monday evening and yesterday were lost days.

So my artwork finally arrived from doing the add-on during the cruise.

My artwork came in too! Got it yesterday. And to be honest, I forgot about it. So it was a nice surprise. :)

I am so glad you got your gifts, could you please take a photo of it and share on here, I would love to see it.

Mary and Flo, We are coming Memorial day weekend, we arrive on Friday and will return home on Tuesday. So we will have lots of time to take in Chicago, we really have not made any plans except for you, We pretty much will do things on impulse of course the minature pocket book may keep us from doing some things.

I was going to tour wrigley field until I found out it was 25.00 per person.:scared1:

A tour of Bush Stadium in St Louis only costs 10.00. Oh well.

My sinus have been bothering me alot today, We need rain to wash the pollen away. The Cars have had a light coating of pollen for almost 2 weeks now.

Have a good night everyone.

P.S. Joanne where are you, when we went on the cruise we ran into you almost everwhere including DTD. Miss you all.

Marsha took these and posted them on this year's Member Cruise Thread. Hope she doesn't mind that I am posting it over here too for you guys to see. It really is a cool picture. :thumbsup2

While we were on the 2009 member cruise, we purchased additional points. Our purchase qualified us to receive limited edition artwork entitled "The Lost Soup-Eating Sequence". The artist, Don "Ducky" Williams was one of the presenters on the cruise.

From the back of the artwork:
"The "lost" image comes from a deleted sequence highlighting the dwarfs' individual personalities through a song titled "The Music in Your Soup." Walt Disney made the dfficult decision to eliminate the sequence from the finished film, believing it impeded the flow of the story."
