09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Joanne, when do you leave for your trip - I'm so jealous of all of you who will be there at Christmas! It's my very favorite time at WDW. I love the decorations and lights and music - and well, everything!! :woohoo:

We leave on 12/6 and come home on the 11th. I just can't wait to see the castle all lit up!

Sue great photos of the train, I forgot my camera when they came here.

Joanne, I so jealous, I was there last year, around dec 10th it wasn;t too crowed. Have a great trip

Thanks, Dianne; we'll certainly try.

Joanne-We go down on Dec 24 thru Jan 2 and you?

Sue-I have lost 22 pounds so far, thanks for asking. It is nice to have great kids:thumbsup2

Have a good night

12/6 through 12/11.

And big congrats on the weight loss. Are you doing anything special or is it just fewer calories and more exercize?

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Dave - great job on the weight loss! I'm finally getting back on the Wii fit regularly but haven't really lost anything yet. Right now I'm trying to get my strength up for walking around WDW!

Joanne - thanks for asking. Overall I'm feeling great. Still trying to get my stamina back to where it was but day to day feeling great!

Have a great day everyone!

Mary, that's wonderful. May you only continue to improve.

Happy Wednesday!

Dave - congrats on the weight loss! That is great.

Sue - Wow, does that train thing look cool. Never heard of it before. Wish something like that would come through here.

Mary - glad to hear you are doing great. I hear ya about getting in shape for WDW. My feet are still killing me! :rotfl2: No, not really.

Flo - I guess I missed something. Did something bad happen to Bolt? Our one mama cat has been missing since before we went to WDW for the weekend. She hasn't been around at all. Not sure what happened to her. She was such a good cat. She had a very pretty coat on her. We haven't seen her in the ditch so we don't think she got hit by a car so maybe another animal got her :confused3. We just don't know. She was mostly an outside cat. We just let her in to eat and relax for a while then she would want to go back outside. The girls miss her. There is still hope that she will show back up someday.

For everyone going to WDW here in the near future, have a VERY MERRY TIME! I'm jealous, even though I was just there ;).

Well, have a great day! :flower3:

Chris, thanks for the good wishes. I truly hope your little cat returns. It is so hard losing a pet and not knowing what happened to them.

Ok My Friends I have some thing to share.

I started a job on Monday! I am now employed! It feels so good. I really like the place. It is a temp to perm position. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. Not one day is really the same.

This is the best Christmas Present I could have gotten.

I want to Thank Everyone for all the support during this. It is much appreciated.

Dianne - :wizard::wizard: for your husband so that something will come through.

WOOHOO! That's wonderful news, Flo. Now it's Mike's turn. PD for Mike.

Congrats Flo!! That's Fantastic News! I hope you have great success with your new job! :yay:

and all of my cruisin' buddies!

Happy Wednesday! It's Hump Day! We used to have a radio station where they always said that everyone should wear a hawaiian shirt on hump day!

Speaking of Hawaii, we just signed up to do the Spirit of Aloha dinner show for the very first time. Has anyone else done it lately and did you like it? And I'm hoping that the weather will be good enough in January because it is open-air and dependent on the weather. So we'll see - but I hope it's good.

Hoping to finish the other bedroom today. Have a happy one everyone! :yay:

Sue - We did the Spirit of Hawaii show back in 2006 (?). Loved it! I thought the whole thing was great. Food, Dancers, Atmosphere. I could do it again. When we went it was in March and we needed light jackets then because it was cool out so be sure to take one along. I hope you enjoy it!

Chris,

To make a long story short. I was out side playing catch with Bolt and his football. I threw the football and he did not pay attention to were he was going. He ran into the side of a 4x4 wood post. He kept shaking his head. Took him to the Vet on Monday (This happened on Sunday) he had a concussion and a ruptured ear drum. Oh and besides that he has an ear infection. They said it could take months to weeks for it to heal. So now we are in a wait and see part. I can tell he is better but not himself.

Hope your cat comes back. :wizard: That is so sad.

Poor Bolt! Hope he gets back to himself soon. :wizard: For him (and you).

Ok My Friends I have some thing to share.

:banana::banana: WONDERFUL news Flo! And just at the right time of year. I'm so happy for you.:banana::banana:

Wow, one week from today is Thanksgiving. Hard to believe and where in the world has the time gone? :confused3 It just flies by anymore.

We are getting ready to head south this weekend. It is not as exciting as going to WDW but it is still exciting for me. I have never been to Texas. Went to Mississippi once to the gulf coast but never Texas. My folks have been wintering down there for at least 18 years, so it is about time I get down to see where they spend six months out of the year. And see where my MIL lives now. Just wish we would have went down before my DFIL passed away.

So, my time is going to be limited now on here, so if I am not able to get on much, not sure if we will be able to get internet at MIL's house, I want to wish all of you a
VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING! And to let you know that I am very thankful to have met you all this year. I think it was one of the best things that happened to me this year. :thumbsup2

We went to that show last year, we had the 9 o'clock show and had to carry two DGD out the whole family went and one fell asleep before desert. The show was good, she was just too tired we had had a full day, and they would not stop to take a nap.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday!

Our Thanksgiving day will be a bit unusual (at least for us) as we'll be on the road heading to Disney!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Member Cruisers. I am truly thankful for having you all in my life and for the love and support shown to me through this trying year. You guys are the best! :grouphug:

Well, I guess it's almost Good Afternoon. DS came home from school sick this morning. At least he stayed long enough to take his vocab test! I think he may be having a mild reaction to the H1N1 vaccine - he got it last night. I'm sure he'll be fine - right now he's sleeping.

Everyone sounds like they will be either very busy or on the road for Thanksgiving. This will be a quiet one here. We always switch dinner at Christmas and Thanksgiving with my brother and SIL's family, so last year I had the whole crowd at Thanksgiving and it was a little more quiet Christmas. This is the opposite and it will be a really small one since neither of my older DS's are coming up from NC. DDIL just started a new job so she doesn't have any extra time off. So she and oldest DS will stay home and have a turkey, but the nice part is that middle DS will drive up from southwest NC and have dinner with them! After that, his golf course is shut down for the winter so he will come home for a little while, for which I am extremely happy about!! So I'll have the entire crowd home for Christmas, so I won't complain about a quiet Thanksgiving - I'll just be thankful all are well!!

I will then third what Chris said, since Dave, you seconded it - that I am so thankful that I have been blessed with new friends like each of you and it is truly a highlight of my year as well. I will only be happier if these friendship last a long, long time!! ;)

For everyone who will be traveling very soon, have a safe and joyous holiday! We will miss chatting with you, if you don't have the opportunity to hop on the thread! Can't wait to hear about everyone's adventures.

For everyone who like me will be around home, I hope we keep on chattin' !!! :woohoo:

Dave -

The job is going well. I am still there and I like it. I am tired but that is fine. The week did go by fast.

Safe travel

Hey Sue,

Outside of our few days in WDW early next month, we'll be at home as well. Since my kids all have smaller places, we'll inevitably end up at our house. So I will definitely be checking in to say hello.

And to everyone who will be traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday, safe travels and a healthy holiday.
