Sue - sorry for the cancelled walk. I am sure you have worked so hard and are greatly disappointed. But you will still be doing good on Sunday with your walk then. Stay strong!

Thanks everybody for the pep talk!! Yes, disappointing but we'll have a great time on Sunday.

Yes, I have done this before - as a matter of fact this will be my fifth 3Day Walk. It's quite an experience and I would highly recommend it to everyone. And just because it says it is 60 miles in 3 days doesn't mean you have to walk all 60 miles. There are many many safety plans in effect during the event should you need help or just want to go into camp early if you've had enough for the day. But it's the people and the atmosphere that are so wonderfully unique and yet the same! Everyone has their own story as to why they are there, but it all comes around to the same cause - no more cancer!

This is the spirit of these walkers - we found other alternatives on our own today and will again tomorrow!! We ended up at Cherry Hill Mall today and we will walk tomorrow at King of Prussia Mall. If anyone is in the area - look for us - we're the ones in PINK!!

Susan - you're pretty close to there - come see me!!!

Hi Milford and Michael....my DH(Michael) called member services and they told him the call in date is Saturday, November 7th at 9am EST.

Got too many dates floating around in my head right now. Booking on the 7th, MS returns to normal booking on the 8th.

This is the first time I have done the linked dinning and I was so happy we did. We had a blast. All the other cruises we have been on were never fun at dinner till now.

If when the time comes for the member cruise and some one would like to do the linked dinning I have the forms that need to be mailed to DCL.

Dave - Thanks for the honnary membership because of Danny. THe more the merrier.

Lisa- Good question about air fare and booking on DVC points.

So if you use points to book the cruise and you book airfare through DCL do you just pay for the airfare separately with cash?

I guess I would go through DVC to book the cruise with points and then through DCL to book airfare??? I am not sure how that would work? As you can tell.

Lisa-Not a pain at all. I just called member services and booked everything thru them. I did pay seperately for the airfare portion, but used points for the cruise.

For me, the best part of the cruise was spending time with my family and with you guys. I have to admit that I was better prepared for the cruise by asking questions on this thread. The website was totally useless. It certainly was not geared towards any cruisers, first timers or not. The food on the cruise was okay. The first two nights I had the pasta for dinner and it was bland. The other nights the food was good.

Overall, I liked the cruise; but, it did not seem to have that special DVC touch. I felt more specail being a Castaway Club Member.

Lisa, we will be doing this trip w/cash only, so I'm not sure what the procedure is w/just points or mixing points and cash. However, I'd call DVC and talk to them and see what they could do for you in any case. Even if you book w/points, they should be able to help w/flights.

We are going over to Epcot on Sunday for round 2 of the Food & Wine Festival. Current forcast is for a high of no more than 70 degrees. That will be a relief from last Sunday when it was 93 degrees.

That's what we've got too. The last 3 days have been cold and yucky, but thank heavens no snow. No plans for today, but tomorrow we'll be celebrating our DGD7's birthday.

We are going over to Epcot on Sunday for round 2 of the Food & Wine Festival. Current forcast is for a high of no more than 70 degrees. That will be a relief from last Sunday when it was 93 degrees.

Good morning everyone! Just got back from bowling. Wanted to do a practice run before our employee appreciation bowling party next week. At least I got a feel for it again. Didn't do great but did good enough not to be embarrassed.

Booking for SSMC2010 will take place on Nov 8th starting at 9am. MS will only be accepting calls for SSMC2010 or concerning reservations with arrival dates of 11/7 to 11/17. Point chart/cash rates are up on the member website.
