Chances of increasing party size - Beak and Barrel

We're traveling down this weekend to visit my daughter, who is currently part of the DCP. She was able to get this Friday off from work; however, we only have a reservation for 4 for Beak and Barrel and would need to add her. Do you think there's any chance that we'll be able to add one on to our reservation or has anyone had any luck doing this? Would I have better luck calling or trying at our walk-up time? I thought I had it all figured out and was able to get a table for 5 on Saturday, but MK is still blocked for cast members that day. Looks like Friday will be our only option and I'll need to drop Saturday.

Can you not modify party size on the MDE app? I know you can on the Disneyland app.

No, it doesn't allow me to update party size - only change to a new reservation or cancel

We have a pre-party reservation around 4. I think I may chance it at walk-up. My kids aren't super interested. I think if they say no, I'll let the kids hit some rides while my husband and I have a drink. I'm still holding out hope that they'll open up MK to cast members on Saturday so, we can just keep that one but it seems unlikely right now.

You can modify almost any ADR down. You can only increase if there is an ADR available for the new party size.

When you are in your check in window of 20 mins I have been able to change it then. I have also just gone to the podium and asked to add one without issues,

Modifying an odd number to an even is USUALLY easier - 3 to 4, 5 to 6, 7 to 8 just because of table configurations.

Beak and Barrel operate differently than most TS restaurants. Changing a party size from three to four in a conventional restaurant is simple because most of the time a party of three is seated at a table for four and the fourth chair remains empty. At B&B, that fourth chair is used for a separate reservation of one, so your table of four may already be full. If there are no reservations available at all for your day, there would be nowhere for the bar to relocate that party of one who has an ADR already.

Keep your eyes open for a cancellation, especially closer to the date. I think it will be more difficult to increase party size at B&B.
